The Obama campaign’s desperation has driven them to resort to stunningly outrageous lies, lies so ridiculous that the only explanation is that they believe that you are dumber than a box of rocks. Actually, I think they are suing in Ohio for voting rights for boxes of rocks. Someone called me and told me that, a very credible source.

Mitt Romney Paid $3M in Federal Taxes in 2010, GE Paid ZERO

Even though he was allegedly a “lifelong Republican,”back in January 2011, Barack Obama selected General Electric’s CEO Jeffrey Immelt to head his Jobs Council. I’m not sure I’d put that credential on the resume, big fella. Mr. Immelt has been called Obama’s Pet CEO. Perhaps that’s why Mr. Obama has refrained from demagoguery about the fact that for the last two years, GE has paid ZERO in federal taxes. This isn’t something I heard from one of Harry Reid’s imaginary friends. From ABC News:

For those unaccustomed to the loopholes and shelters of the corporate tax code, GE’s success at avoiding taxes is nothing short of extraordinary. The company, led by Immelt, earned $14.2 billion in profits in 2010, but it paid not a penny in taxes because the bulk of those profits, some $9 billion, were offshore. In fact, GE got a $3.2 billion tax benefit. …

2010 was the second year in a row that GE recorded billions in profits and paid no taxes.

During that same period, Immelt has been a close advisor to the president on the business community, a relationship that rubs some the wrong way. Immelt serves as the chairman of Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness.

Despite Harry Reid’s recent debasing of the U.S. Senate by using it as forum to tell politcally-motivated lies, facts are facts. It is a lie to say that Mitt Romney has paid no taxes for ten years. For example, in 2010, he paid $3 million in federal income taxes, plus another million or so applied to estimated taxes for 2011.

Harry Reid is a Dirt Bag

Having nothing to lose, Sen. Reid is acting in the role of suicide bomber here. He has made a horse’s hind end of himself so often that he doesn’t care about looking like a fool, and he has already stolen enough to be set for life. He’s taken care of his sons as well.

Reportedly, Harry Reid is using the power of his office as the Senate Majority Leader to harass Nevada Energy (NV Energy) the main supplier of power for the state in order to help a Chinese “green energy” client of his son, Rory’s law firm. The Chinese company, ENN Mojave Energy LLC is planning a billion-dollar solar energy manufacturing and generating plant in the state, while Reid is trying to strong arm NV Energy into buying their overpriced product.

Because they are treacherous Democrats neither Dingy Harry nor Emaciated Rory Reid feel the slightest hesitation to help a Communist country destroy an American company, even one in their own home state.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reported on Reid’s history of “beating up” on NV energy:

In the closing days of the George W. Bush administration, Reid blocked plans to build coal-fired power plants in Nevada. He said in April on the “Nevada Newsmakers” show, “I don’t think NV Energy has done enough to allow renewable energy to thrive.” …

To sum up, Harry Reid has blocked plans for an American company to produce less expensive power and create American jobs, while promoting a Communist Chinese company which will raise everyone’s utility costs, and benefit his son financially.

To summarize, Mitt Romney has paid millions of dollars in federal income taxes over the last two years. The company run by Obama pal, GE, paid ZERO for those same years. Yet, all every democrat Obama surrogate on this past weekend’s Sunday morning political shows, and since then, wants to talk about is the “fact” that Mitt Romney hasn’t paid any taxes for ten years, which apparently everybody knows is true because we’ve been told by the poster child for unethical behavior, Harry Reid.

From “When Did You Stop Beating Your Wife?” to “Why Did You Murder My Wife?”

This past weekend, even their allies in the Lame Stream Media appeared astounded that the One and his campaign would resort to an unsubstantiated “when did you stop beating your wife” line of attack. CBS’ Bob Scheiffer suggested it reminded him of Joe McCarthy’s accusations, and called it “a little thin.”

Surprise, my media friends. That “hope and change” yip-yap was just the air freshener temporarily covering up the putrid stench of typical Chicago-style politics, and it’s worn off. You may want to get some Vicks Vapo-rub to put under your nostrils because it reeks, and they’re just getting warmed up. Just today, the super PAC run by snotty former Obama deputy press secretary Bill Burton unveiled an ad blaming Mitt Romney for the death of the wife of a former steel worker. From the New York Daily News:

The Priorities USA Action ad features an interview with Joe Soptic, who worked at a steel plant acquired in 1993 by Romney’s former private equity firm Bain Capital.

GST Steel declared bankruptcy and shuttered its Kansas City, Mo.-based plant in 2001 – two years after Romney says he turned over managerial control of Bain. …

Ads run by super PACs are typically harsher than the candidates’ own campaign ads, although the Priorities USA ad called “Understands” is turning heads even by those standards.

Also, according to a Politico report, the woman didn’t die until 2006 – years after the plant shut down and near the end of Romney’s tenure as governor of Massachusetts. (emphasis mine)

So the timing might be a teensy weensy bit off. Mitt Romney is accused of killing a woman five years after he had any involvement with the company that owned the plant, GST. Oh wait …it’s not just the timing. CNN is reporting that even after the plant closed, Mr. Soptic’s wife had health insurance through her employer. Are you sitting down? The whole story is a demagogic lie, exploiting a sad story to advance Obama’s political fortunes. Do you need to take a shower yet?

Obama’s apparatchiks and their behavior is an insulting embarrassment, but not a surprise to those of us familiar with the Axelrod playbook

None of the members of Obama campaign, not the ones officially on the payroll, or the “journalists” who are desperately trying to save his sinking re-election effort, are serious people. Sadly for them, we are, and insulting our intelligence is not a winning strategy.
