Compassionate Left, Part 2: GrubHub CEO Bullies Employees Who Voted for President-Elect

GrubHub CEO to pro-Trump employees: You have “no place” in this company, and if you disagree, ‘please reply to this email with your resignation.’

GrubHub is a food delivery service business. It’s co-founder and CEO doesn’t know that politics are bad for business.

From The Washington Times:

The Grubhub co-founder then went on to blast the billionaire’s “demeaning” rhetoric towards minorities and other groups.

“I absolutely reject the nationalist, anti-immigrant and hateful politics of Donald Trump and will work to shield our community from this movement as best as I can,” Mr. Maloney continued, Fox News first reported Thursday.

“I want to reaffirm to anyone on our team that is scared or feels personally exposed, that I and everyone else here at Grubhub will fight for your dignity and your right to make a better life for yourself and your family here in the United States,” he said in the email, which the company later posted online.

I wish I could tell you that this guy was a silly millennial twit, but he is 40 years old! Liberalism is a mental disorder that afflicts all ages. Not a big fan of that First Amendment, are you, Matt? Of course, as we have often documented here, neither is Hillary Clinton, who proudly proclaimed on the campaign trail that she thought it should be illegal to criticize her. You missed that, Matt?  You are an example of one of the biggest problems we have in society, far too many “smart” stupid people, who because they are stupid, have an annoying propensity to share their ignorant opinions with everyone. Empty barrels make the most noise.

Here’s one of his tweets:

Guess you got your answer this week, huh?

Dude, I’m not sure what you mean about “hateful politics,” but there are some of us who are fed up with the illegal alien crime spree that has inflicted misery on thousands of innocent Americans. We don’t like certain jurisdictions, and even certain federal officials including the President of the United States, refusing to enforce statutes duly enacted by the people’s representatives, and giving sanctuary to criminals who commit violent crimes, including murder, against Americans. We knew that Hillary Clinton wanted to grant immediate amnesty to all the illegals currently in the country, and that her plans would impose a $15,000 a year tax on every American family to pay for the welfare and social services that these interlopers use. We also know that Barack Obama, Hillary and the democrats are willing to impose these costs on all Americans for no other reason than political expediency; that is, they want to change the demographics of our country to turn it into Cook County or California, a one-party hellhole. “Nationalistic?” Damn straight, Mr. Big Shot CEO. America First. We like the sound of that.

In the last couple of days, I have frequently quoted William F. Buckley: “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.” Mr. Maloney (rhymes with ‘baloney’) is clearly an example of that very true statement.

Is GrubHub now a hostile work environment? Will they be getting a visit from the EEOC soon? What do shareholders think about this bullying? If you are a GrubHub employee, please consider documenting instances in which you feel “personally exposed.” Perhaps one of these agencies will “fight for your dignity and your right to make a better life for yourself.”

In a follow-up blog post, Mr. Maloney said ““Some of the statements in my email have been misconstrued. I want to clarify that I did not ask for anyone to resign if they voted for Trump. I would never make such a demand. To the contrary, the message of the email is that we do not tolerate discriminatory activity or hateful commentary in the workplace, and that we will stand up for our employees.” (emphasis mine) Oh yeah, you are TOTALLY standing up for your employees by telling them if they exercise their right to vote for and support the candidates that they choose they should hit the bricks and make sure that the door doesn’t hit their derrieres on the way out.
I don’t work for GrubHub, but they have definitely made it clear that they want to fire me as a potential customer. In his tweet, Mr. Maloney said that I, a Trump supporter, am not intelligent. OK. Done.
