Epic Fail: Hillary Campaign’s Attempt to Subvert Donald Trump Presser

Donald Trump’s press conference, which ended about 30 minutes ago, was brilliant, mesmerizing and magnificent. Hey, Media, you can pick up your jocks now.

The Hillary campaign’s plan to neutralize its effectiveness was as effective as her explanations for her violations of several federal statutes, as in, an epic failure.

From CNN:

New York (CNN)Hillary Clinton’s campaign on Tuesday will launch a multi-pronged communications effort to trash Donald Trump’s record on veterans’ issues and undermine the billionaire’s news conference touting the money he’s raised for veterans’ causes in recent months.

The campaign will host a national press call, release statements and unleash surrogates in key battleground states armed with talking points and opposition research to highlight Trump’s past disparaging remarks about veterans, his Veterans Administration reform plans, and his months-long refusal to fully account for the funds he raised in January for veterans’ charities, according to plans the Clinton campaign shared with CNN. (emphasis mine.)
The plan is the Clinton campaign’s most targeted effort yet to disrupt a Trump-organized event that the billionaire hopes will earn him hours of free — and largely positive — media time. And it comes on the heels of the Clinton camp’s week-long effort last week to knock Trump off-message and discredit the presumptive Republican nominee by hammering him over a series of comments he made about the 2008 financial crisis.
“In January, Donald Trump skipped a debate to hold an event at which he boasted they had raised $6 million for veterans charities and organizations, including a $1 million personal donation from Trump himself,” the Clinton campaign said in a statement. “After securing the headlines he wanted, it became clear that Trump had not actually delivered on his claims. Under mounting pressure after months of dodging questions about where the money had gone, lying, and failing to follow through on his own $1 million promise, he is set to finally answer those questions.”
You mean the Clinton campaign has to “share” with CNN? I thought they were the same thing. It was hilarious during the presser today when Trump called out CNN, referring to their stooge Jim Acosta as “a real beauty.”
Great plan, Hillary, until Donald Trump came out and read a lengthy list of the military charities to which he has donated $5.6 million so far. Ruh roh.
Panic about to ensue. Get the popcorn ready, Kids.
