This photo is the definition of Fake News. The girl was never separated from her mother, but more important, her mother left a husband with a good job and 3 older children back in Honduras to illegally enter the U.S!
So much for “family separation,” huh?
In a stunning development, I have seen NONE of this news on CNN! Leave it to the British press to do some actual journalism. From the Daily Mail:
The father of the Honduran girl who became the face of the family separation crisis has revealed that he still has not been in touch with his wife or daughter but was happy to learn they are safe.
Denis Javier Varela Hernandez, 32, said that he had not heard from his wife Sandra, 32, who was with his two-year-old daughter Yanela Denise, for nearly three weeks until he saw the image of them being apprehended in Texas.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Hernandez, who lives in Puerto Cortes, Honduras, says that he was told yesterday by a Honduran official in the US that his wife and child are being detained at a family residential center in Texas but are together and are doing ‘fine.’
‘You can imagine how I felt when I saw that photo of my daughter. It broke my heart. It’s difficult as a father to see that, but I know now that they are not in danger. They are safer now than when they were making that journey to the border,’ he said.
Denis said his wife and daughter were never separated by border control agents and remain together.
The whole article is worth reading. Of course, I suspected when I say the Getty Photo dude on CNN last Sunday that he did know that this girl had not been separated from her mother, but didn’t want to tell the truth for fear of diminishing the value of his picture.
Will Time magazine, who decided to use the image of Yanela as part of its cover to bash our president, tell the truth about this picture? Will they, CNN, MS-NBC or any of the other shameless propagandists using this images to cynically promote their heinous open borders agenda ever do that? I know…I’m not holding my breath.
If you hear people mention this photo, please share this post. No, share it anyway. It’s important to get the truth out any way that we can. The emotionally-driven, low-information people in this country are being played, and they need to know it.
