How “Far” We’ve Come: From Rosa Parks to Oprah and From Emmett Till to Trayvon Martin

Later today, our Sham WOW (Walks on Water) current occupant of the Oval Office will continue his endless summer of surfing on the mother of all waves of white guilt to try to distract everyone from the retched economy and the disastrous consequences of his “lead from behind” policies in the Middle East, including an imminent military strike on Syria. Since I know that everyone agrees with Eric Holder. We don’t talk enough about race in this country, so let’s take the occasion of this anniversary to broach a subject that is almost never mentioned.

As I watch all the TV talking heads babbling on about the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “March on Washington,” something has been bothering me, but I couldn’t figure out exactly what that was, other than my usual irritation at the vapid commentary that these supposedly knowledgeable, pompous windbags pump out non-stop. Now I realize why these commemorations ring not only hollow, but are quite annoying.

It is because race baiters from Barack Obama and Eric Holder to Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and all the thousands of lower-tier practitioners of this despicable, destructive trade, pay lip service to Dr. King’s call to judge people by the content of their character, not  the color of their skin, when in fact what they really mean is that only white people need to heed that call because white people are apparently inherently and forever guilty of racism. There is no other explanation for what so many of these people say and do. Racism on the part of blacks must be ignored, or if noted, justified by some historical actions that happened decades or even centuries ago. Blacks vote for black candidates specifically because they are black, proudly so, and no one dares suggest that it’s racist for them to do so. If 96 percent of white people had voted for John McCain in 2008, we would still be hearing the Lame Stream Media “experts” squealing like scalded hogs about the disgrace that is “racist” Amerika. In fact, though 96% of black voters cast their ballots for Sen. Barack Obama and 43% of whites did so. Nothing to see here. Michelle Obama writes a semi-literate college thesis in which she proclaims

“Earlier in my college career, there was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the Black community I was somehow obligated to this community and would utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit this community first and foremost. My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my “Blackness” than ever before. I have found that at Princeton no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my White professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with Whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be Black first and a student second. These experiences have made it apparent to me that the path I have chosen to follow by attending Princeton will likely lead to my further integration and/or assimilation into a White cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant. This realization has presently, made my goals to actively utilize my resources to benefit the Black community more desirable.”

Yeah, Mooch, I hear you. Affirmative action admission will do that to you, you know (as you would say), make you feel like a visitor. Clearly, if this thesis is the sort of work that you were capable of producing, you didn’t belong at an elite college. Leaving the sub-standard level of her writing and scholarship aside, to celebrate today’s big anniversary, let’s do a little thought experiment. What if Cindy McCain or Anne Romney had written a college thesis in which she “made my goals to actively utilize my resources to benefit the White community more desirable”? Exactly. Barack Obama attends a church led by a screeching racist that proudly touts its “Black Value System” for 20 years, and no one bats an eye. Try a similar thought experiment. Could any white person be elected to even a local office if it were learned that he attended a church that had a “White Value System?” And of course, we recently learned, that unlike all 43 presidents before him, Barack Obama is above criticism, because any criticism of anything he does, even the ridiculous antics of a rodeo clown, is inherently “racist.”

Recently, we have endured disgusting comparisons of the racist murder of Emmett Till in 1955 with the justifiable killing of drug using, burglar and would-be MMA fighter Trayvon Martin. The suggestion that there is moral equivalency between these two cases is breathtaking in its stupidity, and yet, allegedly intelligent people have been making it incessantly for the last several weeks, including the air-headed Oprah Winfrey. She is the walking embodiment of the greatness of America, a country in which a woman incapable of reasoning her way out of a paper bag can amass a fortune larger than the combined wealth of several nations.

In another recent cringe-inducing incident, the Oprah tried to portray herself as the new Rosa Parks because she was allegedly treated rudely in a fancy European boutique while trying to purchase a $38,000 purse. Who better to lecture us about racism in America?

So, today we will have the bizarre spectacle of people like the Oprah and Barack Obama, who but for their race would not be where they are, pretending to celebrate a speech that implored everyone to work for a color-blind society, which happens to be their worst nightmare.
