As you no doubt have noticed, gas prices are rising at a record pace, which is somewhat ironic, since we have a world class gasbag in the White House. Shouldn’t that increase the supply? Regardless, Obama wants no part of this gas price thing, as his flak Jay “Dennis the Menace” Carney explained. From the Washington Examiner:
Asked if he believes it is fair for Americans to blame the president, Carney noted that gas price hikes are “a recurrent problem.” He added that domestic oil production is at a record high right now and that Obama has opened “millions of acres in the Gulf of Mexico” to drilling.
Wrong. As this Forbes article points out, his incessant repetition about “domestic production being at a record high” has nothing to do with him. It’s really time for this clown and his flaks to stop lying about his energy policy. It’s obvious that, like his fellow left-wing radicals, he has bought into the whole enviro-goof fantasy about “renewable energy” eliminating the need for “dirty” fossil fuels, which, of course, doesn’t mean that he will stop driving around in a fleet of SUV’s, nor will his repellant wife stop jetting all over the planet in an endless series of luxury getaways. As if, as if his Energy Secretary hadn’t let the cat out of the bag about their real desires to see gasoline at $10/gallon to force all of us (but of course, not Barack, Michelle and their friends, who will continue to ride in spacious, comfortable SUVs and travel in private jets) onto their vaunted public transportation.
Whenever an American fills his tank, he should think of the fact that Barack Obama and Steven Chu have gotten their wish, high gas prices to force us to change our behavior. If the GOP doesn’t hammer this point home, they don’t deserve to win in November.
