VIDEO: July 3, 1963: Gettysburg and Pickett’s Charge

The late historian Shelby Foote one of the most decisive events in American history, at the battle of Gettysburg, Pickett’s Charge, 152 years ago today.

He also addresses the controversy about the Confederate battle flag, which was already brewing before he died in 2005, and explains that most of the soldiers who fought didn’t give a second thought to slavery, even though that was certainly a major cause of the war.

Is it still OK to talk about this event in American history, or has it part of the leftwing fascist purge in the history of political correctness?
