The word “hack” has gotten tossed around rather cavalierly in the last week, usually in stories relating to cyber-security. Leave it to those wacky Syrian refugees, this time one who allegedly attacked and killed a co-worker that he “loved.”
You know, they are “old school,” as in 7th century, right?
From The Telegraph UK:
Syrian man has attacked and killed a woman he was reportedly in love with, hitting her with a meat cleaver in the southern German town of Reutlingen.
Another woman and a man were also injured in the attack. Local authorities have identified the man as a 21-year-old asylum-seeker from Syria who was known to the police and had previously been charged with causing bodily harm. (emphasis mine)
A 21-year-old Syrian refugee was arrested on Sunday after killing a pregnant woman with a machete in Germany, the fourth violent assault on civilians in western Europe in 10 days, though police said it did not appear linked to terrorism. (emphasis mine)
The incident, however, may add to public unease surrounding Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open-door refugee policy that has seen over a million migrants enter Germany over the past year, many fleeing war in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.
Gee, ya think some people might be questioning the whole open borders thing? Yes.
The incident took place in the central part of the city, close to an area in which a music festival took place at the weekend, Suddeutsche Zeitung reported. Police have cordoned off the area around the restaurant and are conducting a crime scene investigation.
“The explosion in downtown Ansbach was not a gas explosion, but was caused by an explosive device,” Ansbach Mayor Carda Seidel confirmed. Seidel also said that it should not be ruled out that there could have been several explosions.
The attacker was a 27-year-old Syrian who had entered the country about two years ago, but had been refused asylum, Bavarian authorities told a press conference. His application was rejected a year ago but the man was allowed to stay in Germany temporarily, due to ongoing hostilities in Syria.
Chancellor Merkel, do you still think it was a great idea to throw your doors wide open to over 1 million Syrian “refugees?” From where I sit, it’s not looking good.
Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are both on the record as wanting to dramatically increase the number of Syrian refugees we resettle in the United States. She wants to increase the number of Syrian refugees by 500%.
So, when you cast your vote this fall, perhaps you might want to keep that in mind. Like Germany, our country can stand only so much love and diversity.
