It’s Official: Idiocracy is Here!

Over the course of the last few years, both here and on The Teri O’Brien Show, we have chronicled the depressing decent of our country into the Idiocracy that wasn’t supposed to arrive for approximately 500 years.

It is official. Idiocracy is actually here, something proven by the events surrounding the Indiana’s enactment of a state Religious Freedom Restoration Act. It has been stunning to observe the amount of lies, hypocrisy and politically-motivated smearing unleashed by Gov. Mike Pence’s decision to sign this innocuous measure. Readers of this blog, being the smart, knowledgeable people that you are, no doubt know the relevant facts; specifically, (1) that the original federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act resulted about the Supreme Court’s decision in Employment Division v. Smith, which allowed the state of Oregon to deny unemployment benefits to two Native American workers who were fired after mescaline, the psychoactive ingredient in peyote, show up in their drug tests (2) the federal statute, designed to give people like the workers in Smith their day in court, an opportunity to challenge state actions that burden the free exercise of religion, and (3) the law was introduced in the House by Rep. Chuck Schumer, where it was passed unanimously, and in the Senate by Sen. Ted Kennedy, where it passed 97-3.  It was signed with great fanfare by Bill Clinton.

Despite what we hear from gleeful, goose-stepping Democrat operatives trying to masquerade as “journalists” like ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, or CNN’s Chris Cuomo, this law has nothing to do with discriminating against homosexuals.

This ludicrous episode was a case study in some of the more regrettable aspects of our current political environment.

The Breath-Taking Hypocrisy of Craven Politicians

By executive order, Connecticut Gov. Dannell Malloy enacted a travel ban to Indiana. Is he unaware that his own state has a RFRA law that grants MORE protections to religious liberty than the Indiana law that he finds so abhorrent? Or don’t facts matter when a democrat politician is in the process of grandstanding? I could ask the same question of Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY), the mayors of Seattle, WA and Washington, D.C., as well ass other localities.

The Stunning Stupidity of a Huge Percentage of the Population, Especially Millennials

For years, proponents of so-called same-sex marriage have resorted to a lame demographic argument to “prove” that they are right. Young people support it, so come on, idiot geezers, get with the program! Seriously? That is idiotic on its face. We know how ignorant this bunch is, in general. The very fact that people 18-29 who grew up on a steady diet of “Will and Grace” and making sure that “everybody wins!” so that no one’s feelings are hurt are susceptible to appeals to “tolerance” without any appreciation for the consequences should surprise no one. The fact that alleged adults consider that fact a game changing argument should alarm all thinking citizens.

The Predictable Parade of Vacuous, Celebrity Morons Sharing Their “Wisdom” About Serious Matters

Note to Miley Cyrus, Seth McFarlane, Ashton Kutcher, David Letterman and dozens of other entertainers: Every intelligent observer knows that you couldn’t tell us anything about RFRA at gunpoint, not the history, not the legal issue, and not the text of the law. So please shut up. Honestly, there are dolphins smarter than these airheads.

The Burning Hatred of the Left Toward Religion, Especially Christianity

Leftwing ideology is a secular religion, in which men are their own gods, entitled to control, even enslave, their fellow men through the use of naked, brute force. Mao said it best: “Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” Religious faith rejects this revolting idea, and instead considers every human soul precious, and created in the image of Almighty God. That’s a real non-starter for the Left for obvious reasons.

The Desperate and Pathetic Need Militant Homosexuals Have for the Approval of Others

Some have asked the obvious question “Why would people want to patronize a business that doesn’t want their business when there are many other businesses that would be eager to serve them?” It’s a good question, which would make sense if the answer was that the prospective customer was actually looking for goods or services. That’s not what we are dealing with here. Instead, we have militant activists with chips on their shoulders, seeking a self-righteous sense of victimhood. They are not “proud.” They are so pathetically insecure that they want the boot of government on the neck of people to force them to give approval to behavior that many of us will never approve.

This discouraging episode should inspire everyone of you to redouble your efforts to work to take this country back. We have no time to waste. I only hope it’s not too late.
