I’m Almost Buying This Photo. How About You?

From Fox News:

“The president is holding the shotgun as one would hold and aim a rifle,” said John H. Josselyn, legislative vice president for the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore Inc. “If the President were actually shooting on a skeet or trap range, he would have been wearing a belt with a shell bag or a shooting vest. This is a poorly staged publicity photo intended to deceive the public by portraying the president as something he is not.

Josselyn is a certified firearms instructor for the National Rifle Association and Maryland State Police.

” Chris Chenowith, a member of the Carney Rod and Gun Club, outside Baltimore, pointed out the president has his right hand pretty far up the barrel.

“It gets awfully warm up there,” he said. “He might have shot the gun like that, but not more than once.”

The president has only been skeet shooting a couple of times at Camp David,  a source who says he has been to the retreat on a half-dozen visits with Obama told FoxNews.com earlier this week.

“The only time he shot skeet was for President’s Cup,” said the source, referring to a shooting competition tradition involving the presidential Marine guards. “I was there. He stayed for about five minutes, and couldn’t leave fast enough.”

  1. The other thing that strikes me is the angle of the gun. When you shoot skeet, don’t you have the gun at about a 45 degree angle, shooting up at the target. He looks like he’s taking aim to shoot John Boehner.

  2. In the Age of Photoshop, I don’t buy this at all. Besides, I used to shoot both Trap and Skeet Competition and not only is his manner of dress not in keeping with “Range Attire,” but he is not wearing a Shell Pouch. One more thing… The Shotgun appears to be emitting “Smoke” associated with the blast. All Modern Day Shotshell Powders are “Smokeless.”

  4. I can’t help but notice that this picture was taken at the exact moment the gun was fired, as if to dispel any rumors that he was just holding the gun and pretending to shoot it. I can tell you from experience that it is difficult to do without coordination between the photographer and the shooter. This picture has “staged” written all over it.

    • Robert, That’s a great point. And isn’t it an amazing and convenient coincident that as the One embarks on his campaign against the 2nd Amendment they produce this photo? These people are so predictable.

      • Thank you Teri. Next they will be trying to convince us that he is a closeted NRA member. I am also curious just how much that shotgun cost and who paid for it. I bet it is significantly more than the typical bitter clinger could afford.

        • I wouldn’t be the least surprised if the came out in a couple of days to say that he has been a lifelong NRA member. And the LSM wouldn’t question it a bit.

  5. One more thing… Look at the way he has the Gun “shouldered.” If this is the way he shoots, he should seek instruction. The way he shouldering it (assuming it’s a 12 Guage), he’d be knocked on his skinny backside. Especially with a Break Action Shotgun. You get “ALL” the Recoil…

One need go no further than the port evidence to prove fraud, but further evidence shows that the President was not shooting “Skeet.” Skeet is a specific shooting game involving a skeet field with distinct shooting houses. If he were shooting skeet, there would be a skeet house over the shooter’ shoulder from this camera angle. There is none. Additionally, his barrel is almost horizontal and that would not be consistent with someone shooting skeet. At a minimum, it would be elevated at around a forty-five degree angle to almost vertical. One could give the President a break and acknowledge that he probably doesn’t know the difference between skeet, trap, and sporting clays, but someone who recently stated, “Up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time,” should then know the difference.

Further evidence would suggest that the smoke in the photo is somewhat heavy and is more consistent with the kind of smoke coming from a blackpowder gun, not a modern shotgun. Without a doubt, this photo has been doctored for whatever nefarious reason. It appears as though the shooter was merely holding a gun with the smoke being added in later.

This begs a simple question. Why would the President of the United States go to such efforts to lie to the American people about something as simple as shooting a shotgun? Makes one wonder what other lies he has been telling us. Reminds me of when Bill Clinton donned Camo for a Photo-Op and the Media said he was “Duck Hunting.”

  7. As usual, you can’t get one past Jeannie. I vote for “fake.”

  8. Stalin or Biden? 🙂
