Is Newt Going too Far? Better Now Than in the General

Many conservatives, me included, expressed alarm when, during the weekend’s debates, starting citing the Liberal Death Star (the New York Times, for you newbies) and bashing business by characterizing Mitt Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital as Gordon Gecko stuff.

Having thought about it, I don’t think that Newt is attacking capitalism, or attacking business. I think he’s presenting the very case that David Plouffe and David Axelrod have been telling us they will present if Romney is the nominee.  As noted yesterday,  the things Newt is saying are EXACTLY what Obama will be saying in September. As I noted yesterday, maybe we should pay attention.
