Monday Morning Questions: Why Is Obama Giving $250 Million to Morsi When He Can’t Afford to Keep Criminal Illegal Aliens Incarcerated?

From the Liberal Death Star (the New York Times):

Secretary of State John Kerry announced Sunday that the United States would provide $250 million in assistance to Egypt after Egypt’s president promised to move ahead with negotiations with the International Monetary Fund over economic reforms.…

The aid announced Sunday consists of two parts. One is a $190 million infusion for Egypt’s budget intended to address what Mr. Kerry said was the country’s “extreme needs.” That assistance has already been approved by Congress.

Mr. Kerry also pledged $60 million for the creation of a fund to support small businesses, which will provide “direct support to key engines of democratic change in Egypt, including Egypt’s entrepreneurs and its young people.”

As an incentive for Mr. Morsi to conclude an agreement with the I.M.F., Mr. Kerry said that he would work with Congress to get additional funds approved for Egypt once a deal was reached.

In May 2011, President Obama pledged $1 billion to support Egypt’s democratic revolution. The $190 million in aid announced on Sunday is the first disbursement of that pledge.

As you well know, last week Big Sis’s Department of Homeland Security, a name which sounds like an Orwellian joke at this point, released hundreds of illegal alien criminals, blaming budget cuts.

Let me get this straight. They’ve got money to send to the Muslim Brotherhood’s Mohammed Morsi, whose number one the release of the Blind Shiek, inspiration for the first bombing on the World Trade Center in 1993. They can’t keep illegal alien criminals incarcerated because we can’t afford to do so. At the same time, they want to disarm law-abiding Americans.  Gee, I can’t imagine why so many Americans think our country is going in the wrong direction.

PROGRAM NOTE: We’ll ask Sheriff Joe Arpaio about the release of these illegals when he returns as a special guest on the show this coming Sunday, March 10.
