Obamacare Ra Ra Campaign Starts Anew, As Site Less Reliable Than The Gap’s

Howard Stern once made a very cogent observation about the Clintons, and the secret to their success. It’s a secret that they share with many other members of the political class, and something that distinguishes them from most normal people. He said that they are successful because it is impossible to embarrass them.

It seems obvious, but it is easy to test this theory if you are so inclined. Ask yourself. If you had admitted to lying under oath about an intern performing oral sex on you while in the office, would you lauded as “the explainer in chief,” and be jetting around the planet, holding court as a sage advisor and commentator on politics and world affairs, and making speeches every chance you got? Or would you have disappeared into anonymity, hoping to some day live down the disgrace and embarrassment?

Another thought experiment. If four brave Americans had died on your watch in a very dangerous part of the world on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history because their requests for reinforced security were ignored, even after several prior incidents leading up to that terrible day, and you had then lied to their grieving parents about the reason for their murders, would you be ramping up campaign to run for president, or would you have retreated to a convent, where you would spend your days in prayer, hoping that God would forgive you?

Now comes Barack Hussein Obama, a politician, “historic” in many ways, including his ability to outdo the Clintons in his brazen lying, lying about lying, and lying when he says he apologized for lying. Today he is doubling down on lying with his “rebranding” of Obamacare, his “signature achievement,” or what I call his effort to screw 85% of the country for the benefit of the 15% that constitute his mascot groups, the ones Mooch wrote about in her semi-literate college thesis. They are also the ones who lined up in Detroit for something from Barack’s stash. As Mooch told Barbara Walters in an interview that aired last Friday, “this is all about the folks who don’t have insurance,” in other words, not that afore-mentioned 85%. During that same interview, he also told us, as he has said several times in the past year, that he is finished campaigning. As it turns out—SPOILER ALERT—that was another lie!

From Politico:

President Barack Obama will launch a coordinated campaign Tuesday by the White House, congressional Democrats and their outside allies to return attention to why the Affordable Care Act passed in the first place.

After two months of intense coverage of the botched HealthCare.gov rollout, the president will host a White House event kicking off a three-week drive to refocus the public on the law’s benefits, senior administration officials told POLITICO.

The White House will take the lead in emphasizing a different benefit each day until the Dec. 23 enrollment deadline for Jan. 1 coverage. The daily message will be amplified through press events and social media by Democratic members of Congress, the Democratic National Committee, congressional campaign committees and advocacy organizations, officials said.

And sure enough he did kick off this PR campaign, starting today, and every day until 12/23/13, the Regime will hold events, featuring the ever-popular human wallpaper, and interviews with victims rescued to Barack’s benevolence.

If you are amazed that after spending 3+ years deliberately telling you premeditated lies to ensure his re-election, reassuring you that if you like your insurance, you can keep it, and even worse, telling you that you can keep your doctor, he has audacity to stand up and double down on this whole scheme, don’t be. Ideologues are impervious to facts, and  leftists know that they cannot achieve their objectives without lying. So the One stands before his PrompTer and recites more lies, hoping to outrun reality by talking about how well the healthcare.gov website is working, celebrating that in a country of over 300 million people, 100,000 have been able to sign up for “insurance.” Most of the “insurance” is Medicaid, which fewer and fewer doctors will accept.

Oh and by the way, as we told you on last Sunday’s edition of The Teri O’Brien Show, the “back end” of this Obamacare site doesn’t work for approximately 30% of people who think they signed up for coverage. Today, the Washington Post is reporting:

The enrollment records for a significant portion of the Americans who have chosen health plans through the online federal insurance marketplace contain errors — generated by the computer system — that mean they might not get the coverage they’re expecting next month.

The errors cumulatively have affected roughly one-third of the people who have signed up for health plans since Oct. 1, according to two government and health-care industry officials. The White House disputed the figure but declined to provide its own.

In this case, “rebranding” is another word for that tired clichè “putting lipstick on a pig, except it’s worse than that. It’s more like putting a new label on an excrement sandwich. If you could be sure to get your excrement sandwich after placing your online order, maybe even delivered by one of those cool drones, would it be any tastier?
