Preview of the One’s Speech

Chris Cillizza, of the Washington Post’s “The Fix”  is live tweeting from the Democrat Convention in Charlotte, and he has sent out some sentences that are supposedly in the Dear Reader’s acceptance speech, including the following:

“You elected me to tell you the truth.”

Then, FOR SURE, you need to go. Barack, you’re fired!

“The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place.”

Harder for whom? For you, Michelle and Valerie Jarrett? Why do I suspect that we will be the ones making all the sacrifices, while her Royal Wideness will continue her jet-setting lifestyle on our dime?

I’m sure we’ll also hear the predictable coded language, designed to sound benign to the casual, low-information viewer, but which more knowledgeable observers will recognize as  Barack Obama’s vision to reward public employee unions by hiring more teachers, and increase the size of the federal government with more and more debt. As if, as in as if we need more teachers. We don’t. We need more of what Obama is strangling with his obsessive regulations and income-redistributionist policies. In addition, I’m sure we’ll be subjected to the demagogue’s stock-in-trade, lots of screeching and slogans.

If you don’t have the stomach to watch, no worries. As you know, I watch so you don’t have to, and I’ll be watching.
