Refugees involved in terrorism?
How can this be? Refugees don’t pose any danger! Didn’t Obama mock opponents of importing hundreds of thousands of Muslims from jihadist hotbeds, people that his own government admits we can’t properly vet, as being “afraid” of widows and orphans. (An aside: don’t you love the way the Left ALWAYS attempts to silence any opposition by accusing people of irrational fear, bordering on a mental disorder, using straw men and phony hypotheticals at war with reality? So predictable, and so Alinskyite. Nicely played again, Jackass.) Sure like this guy, Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab, 23.
From Breaking 911:
Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab allegedly traveled overseas to fight alongside terrorist organizations and lied to U.S. authorities about his activities,” said Assistant Attorney General Carlin. “The National Security Division’s highest priority is protecting the nation from terrorism, and we will continue to hold accountable those who seek to join or aid the cause of terrorism, whether at home or abroad.”
“According to the allegations in the complaint, the defendant traveled to Syria to take up arms with terrorist organizations and concealed that conduct from immigration authorities,” said U.S. Attorney Wagner.
According to the complaint, Al-Jayab is a Palestinian born in Iraq, who emigrated from Syria to the United States as a refugee in October 2012. Between October 2012 and November 2013, while living in Arizona and Wisconsin, he communicated over social media with numerous other individuals about his intent to return to Syria to fight for terrorist organizations. In those communications, according to the complaint, Al-Jayab discussed his previous experience with firearms and with fighting against the regime in Syria. On Nov. 9, 2013, he flew from Chicago to Turkey, and then traveled to Syria. Between November 2013 and January 2014, Al-Jayab allegedly reported on social media that he was in Syria fighting with various terrorist organizations, including Ansar al-Islam, a designated foreign terrorist organization since 2004. He returned to the United States on Jan. 23, 2014, and settled in Sacramento.
Read more here about how when they interviewed this clown, he lied (!!) about involvement in terrorism, and claimed he went to Turkey to visit his grandmother.
Ah, but wait, there’s more, this time from Houston, TX.
From the Houston Chronicle:
The Houston man was identified as Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan, 24. He was charged with three counts – attempting to provide material support to ISIS, unlawfully procuring citizenship or naturalization and making false statements. …
Officials who said they had been briefed on the case said Al Hardan had lived in Houston with his family for about four years and that the case had unspecified connections to arrests elsewhere.
“This is precisely why I called for a halt to refugees entering the U.S. from countries substantially controlled by terrorists,” Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement. “I once again urge the president to halt the resettlement of these refugees in the United States until there is an effective vetting process that will ensure refugees do not compromise the safety of Americans and Texans.”
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick echoed that sentiment and said the arrests confirm the concerns of Texas officials in recent months about an influx of Mideast refugees into Texas who have not been properly vetted.
“Based on the facts, as we know them, today’s action may have prevented a catastrophic terror-related event in the making and saved countless lives,” Patrick said. “This is exactly what we have repeatedly told the Obama administration could happen and why we do not want refugees coming to Texas. There are serious questions about who these people really are, as evidenced by (Thursday’s) events.”
“Nothing to see here,” right? So much for the deceptive propaganda put out by Democrats about no refugees being involved in “domestic terrorism.”
I challenge White House correspondents to ask Obama Spokes Imbecile Josh “Stonewall” Earnest about this issue during today’s briefing.
