With their guy’s approval numbers in free fall, it’s clear that Team Obama is officially in full campaign mode. They hope that the hat trick that worked so well in 2008, class warfare, identity politics and the cult of the personality, will drag the One over the finish line in 2012. Our special guest the Washington Examiner’s David Freddoso, best-selling author of the amazing The Case Against Barack Obama, and his latest, the equally essential Gangster Government, will remind us of the six words that capture everything we need to know about that the current administration: Reward your friends. Punish your enemies. No doubt you’ll be disgusted and even enraged as we reminisce about some of the most outrageous examples of the Chicago Way on full display in Washington. I’ll be interested to hear David’s take on the two faces of Barack Obama, and ask him for his thoughts about what we can do to see that the madness comes to an end on January 20, 2013.
Speaking of reminiscing, we’ll hear soundbites from some dino-media reports from April and May, 2006, when it was very clear who was to blame for rising gas prices. Hint: it wasn’t those evil (and phantom) speculators and profiteers that Barack wants Eric “I haven’t read the law, but I’m sure it’s unconstitutional” Holder to bust. How have these punishing gas prices affected your day to day activities? Who do you hold responsible?
Last year when a listener reported that he was stealing my lines, we investigated, and sure enough, Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-Michigan) had also referred to Barack Obama as “Sham Wow.” That’s how we first connected, although I had been a fan of his long before this example of the truth of the slogan “great minds think alike,” having seen him on C-SPAN. We are delighted to announce that today he will bring his fascinating and delightful combination of wry wit and cogent analysis to the show. What’s his take on last week’s S & P downgrade of U.S. debt? Will the Republicans have the steel in their spines to refuse to increase the debt ceiling without major spending concessions? Why, when based on the latest poll numbers, Barack Obama appears to be on the ropes, do Republicans seem so lame, ineffectual or and even absent?
In yet another amazing coincidence, Michelle Obama launched her latest PR offensive, and I do mean “offensive,” using the military and their families as props and attempting yet again to masquerade as America’s “Mom-in-Chief.” You don’t want to miss hearing the latest episode of this laughable charade, in which she invokes the dog, the kids, and even her mother’s underwear, to help Americans forget it was only yesterday that she was not proud of this “mean” country.
As always, we’ll have the news that everyone will be discussing tomorrow. Be on the cutting edge, and don’t miss it!
Finally, let me take this opportunity to wish you and yours an Easter Sunday filled with joy and peace. May that joy and peace continue to surround you throughout the coming year.
