Top Ten Things Barack Obama Was Doing During the Benghazi Attack

After Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified last Thursday before the Senate Armed Services Committee, at least two things are very clear; specifically, Barack Obama and his minions lied to everyone about this attack that resulted in the murder of 4 Americans, not only about the cause, which was never a moronic YouTube video that no one saw, but more importantly, about his constantly monitoring the situation “well into the night.” Recall David Axelrod’s statement to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, two days before the election:
“Chris, as I said, immediately when word of the attack came, the president was meeting with his top national security folks. He was talking to them well into the night. He was in touch with them during the day, as – during the next day as well. So, there is no question about the fact that he was focused on this.”
Now, unless Panetta was lying to Sen. Kelly Ayote and Sen. Lindsay Graham, we know that Axelrod’s statement was a complete, unabashed lie. I’ll leave it to you to decide. Who do you think was more likely to lie? Obama’s sleazy Chicago campaign operative two days before an election, or the retiring Sec. Def Panetta? The answer is obvious.
Less obvious is the answer to the question “where was Barack Obama during the 8 hours of the attack?” We know that he jetted off to Nevada for a campaign speech the next day. But what about the time between the pre-scheduled 30-minute meeting he had with Panetta and Dempsey at 5:00 pm Eastern and the next day when he did the vanishing act to Vegas Baby!
I suspect that Sen. Graham is going to get to the bottom of this mess, but until he does, let me present some possibilities about what our wondrous Dear Reader may have been doing while heroic Americans, who had warned Washington about the danger in Libya, and had begged for more security, were dying at the hands of jihadists.
  1. Checking hours that the Liberace Museum is open
  2. Asking Michelle’s permission to play Keno
  3. Calling Reggie Love for consultation on which swimming trunks to pack
  4. Making sure someone was prepared to walk Bo while he was away
  5. Making sure someone was prepared to walk Biden while he was away
  6. Picking out kill targets for future drone strikes
  7. Practicing his on-off “Negro” dialect to impress Harry Reid with his gift
  8. Going over the video story with Hilary, Axelrod and Susan Rice
  9. Reassuring Susan Rice that if she was able to make this video story fly, she would be the next Sec.of State
  10. Reassuring John F. Kerry that he would be the next Secretary of State after he threw Susan Rice under the bus when the whole video story blew up
It will interesting to see if any of the fearless truth seekers in the LSM show the slightest desire to reconcile the many inconsistent and shifting stories of Obama and his apparatchiks. No, I’m not holding my breath.

#WhatDoesItMatter

I commend to your attention this piece in The American Thinker concerning Hillary Clinton’s outburst “What difference — at this point — does it make?”

The simple question Senator Johnson revived gained a fever pitch of relevance when President Obama went on television, and to the United Nations, to condemn an anti-Islamic video which by that time he had to know was in no way related to the attacks.  (See here.)  And of course the precise context which heightened the relevance of this “video protest” lie was on display when, during a debate, Obama refused to answer questions about what he had done to help the Americans under attack, instead glaring condescendingly at Mitt Romney while delivering a carefully prepared (and frequently repeated) diatribe about his supposed “three orders,” none of which addressed the actual question as to what he had done during the assault to rescue the victims.

We now know, through Leon Panetta, The President of The United States, The Commander-in-Chief, the only person on the planet that could have authorized American troops into Libya, was nowhere to be found after a 30 minute meeting with SecDef Panetta where the president was told of the attack in Benghazi.
Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta on Thursday revealed he personally broke the news to President Obama that the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, was under attack last yearbut he and the president didn’t speak the rest of the night as the assault on the compound unfolded.
Remember: The President of The United States is the only person that can order troops into another country in an emergency like this. All the talk of orders to “stand down” at the airbase in Italy are meaningless without understanding this point. A general cannot order troops into another country- only the president can. But instead, this president went to bed.

This is an outrage. It is also outrageous that Mrs. Clinton would stall the Congressional hearing  that wants to get to the truth of the matter and then, when she finally appears before the committee, claims “What difference — at this point — does it make?”

If anyone would have used that line, say, after the Sandy Hook attack- “What difference — at this point — does it make?”- people would be gathering their pitchforks.

You see, “What difference — at this point — does it make?” is not an excuse: It’s a strategy.

As you can see, Mrs. Clinton enjoys some favorable numbers- even after her testimony. But look at this:

31. Do you approve or disapprove of President Obama's nomination of Chuck Hagel to be Secretary of Defense,
or don't you have an opinion on that?

Most people don't have a clue this guy is anti-Israel. Most have No Opinion.

This is how Mrs. Clinton's strategy takes hold: uninformed voters kept uninformed by a media that refuses
to report the news when it hurts the president. Or when Americans die from complete neglect.
32. Do you approve or disapprove of President Obama's nomination of John Kerry to be Secretary of State,
or don't you have an opinion on that?

How could 30% not have an opinion of John F. Kerry? Don't they know he was in Viet Nam? I think the answer
lies in the demographic of this poll.

PARTY IDENTIFICATION

Other/DK/NA                 9

They have the Democrats at +9– they are interviewing a generation of people that are too busy texting their American Idol vote to be bothered with some nitwit pollster asking them about stupid stuff like the future of their country.

When it all comes tumbling down there are going to be a whole lot of people starving to death because they don’t know how to open a tin can.
