Benghazi Smoking Gun? Deputy CIA Chief Told Washington There was No “Protest” Days Before Rice Testimony

Are you sure it doesn't make any difference why 4 Americans were murdered, Hillary? I think you've got some 'splainin' to do.

Are you sure it doesn’t make any difference why 4 Americans were murdered, Hillary? I think you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do.

There was no protest, and the Deputy CIA Director told his bosses in D.C. that fact days before Susan Rice did her full Ginsberg on 5 Sunday a.m. talk shows.

From The Washington Times:

Before the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from an anti-American protest, the CIA’s station chief in Libya pointedly told his superiors in Washington that no such demonstration occurred, documents and interviews with current and former intelligence officials show.
The attack was “not an escalation of protests,” the station chief wrote to then-Deputy CIA Director Michael J. Morell in an email dated Sept. 15, 2012 — a full day before the White House sent Susan E. Rice to several Sunday talk shows to disseminate talking points claiming that the Benghazi attack began as a protest over an anti-Islam video.

That the talking points used by Mrs. Rice, who was then U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, were written by a CIA that ignored the assessment by its own station chief inside Libya, has emerged as one of the major bones of contention in the more than two years of political fireworks and congressional investigations into the Benghazi attack. …

Another former intelligence official told The Times that Mr. Morell did tell the White House and the State Department that the CIA station chief in Libya had concluded that there was no protest but senior Obama administration and CIA officials in Washington ignored the assessment.

Why they ignored it remains a topic of heated debate within the wider intelligence community.

Oh I don’t know …maybe because there was a Presidential election in 6 weeks, one taking place after months of the Braying Jackass in Chief screeching “Osama bin Ladin is dead!” and “al Qaeda is on the run!”?

The  House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is holding a hearing tomorrow, and Mr. Morell is scheduled to testify. He has left the CIA, and now works for Beacon Global Strategies, described in the Washington Times article as “a Washington insider strategic communications firm.”

Hillary, would you care to revise your remarks to the families of those 4 murdered Americans, in which you vowed to get the guy who made this horribly offensive “reprehensible” video, or doesn’t that make any difference?  Hillary? Hillary? Bueller?

Screw up and Move Up: Rocket to the Top with Hillary’s Clinton’s No-Fail Crisis Management Strategy

What difference at this point does it make if 4 Americans got killed on my watch?

What difference at this point does it make if 4 Americans got killed on my watch?

Any life coach will tell you, the way to key to reaching the top in our modern world is to model success, as in find someone who has arrived and use that person as a template. I mention our modern world because, back in the day, they didn’t have life coaches. They were too busy trying to avoid dying of starvation or frostbite. Today we have different, modern problems, like what to do about cutthroat competition and backstabbing, two-faced colleagues. If there’s anyone who can provide a roadmap for navigating these choppy waters, it’s Hillary Clinton. She knows how to deal with being victimized by evil cabals of conspirators determined to destroy her and her husband. How powerful are the strategies I’m about to share? When Hillary’s husband, then President Bill Clinton was accused of taking advantage of a twenty-one-year-old intern who worked in the White House, she sprung into action, calling out those vicious conspirators and their smear campaign. On January 27, 1998, she appeared with Matt Lauer on NBC’s “Today” Show. Here’s part of that exchange:

LAUER: Let me take you and your husband out of this for a second. Bill and Hillary Clinton aren’t involved in this story. If an American president had an adulterous liaison in the White House and lied to cover it up, should the American people ask for his resignation?

CLINTON: Well, they should certainly be concerned about it.

LAUER: Should they ask for his resignation?

CLINTON: Well, I think that—if all that were proven true, I think that would be a very serious offense. That is not going to be proven true. I think we’re going to find some other things. And I think that when all of this is put into context, and we really look at the people involved here, look at their motivations and look at their backgrounds, look at their past behavior, some folks are going to have a lot to answer for.

Unfortunately for Mrs. Clinton, DNA evidence from what we can delicately refer to as Bill Clinton’s bodily fluids on an infamous blue dress proved that the allegations were true, and Bill was the one who had a lot to answer for.  Regardless, he didn’t resign and everyone decided to “move on.” Then Hillary became a U.S. Senator and the Secretary of State, and Bill became a highly regarded elder statesman! Where in the world is Matt Lauer? Exactly.

So how do you do it? Just follow this simple roadmap.

Create a superstar image.

Fernando said it is more important to look good than to feel good, and it’s also more important to have the image than to have the reality, an image that means “everybody knows” that you will handle any challenge brilliantly because, unlike the rest of the losers in this country, you are exceptionally smart, well-educated and über competent. Up until very recently, “everybody” in the parentheses, my nickname for the East and Left Coasts, and even many people in actual America, “knew” that Barack Obama is extremely capable, unflappable, classy, articulate and extraordinarily intelligent, despite the complete absence of any objective evidence to support any of those assertions. That was the “Obama brand.” You need to start working on this as soon as you can, preferably before you step in anything that can be pinned on you. Despite mounting evidence that the quickest way to wring every drop of common sense out of a human brain is to subject it to an Ivy League college, it seems to help with this brand building.

Create an alternative scenario.

When a major screw up occurs on your watch, present an alternative story. It can be only marginally plausible. It’s only there to create the impression that you may not be responsible. For example, after four Americans were murdered on 9/11/12 in Benghazi, Sec, of State Hillary greeted the victims coffins, and, in the presence of the grieving families, she said “We’ve seen rage and violence directed at American embassies over an awful Internet video that we had nothing do to with.” We now know that the Obama administration knew within hours that the Benghazi attack was a terrorist act that had nothing to do with some YouTube video that almost no one knew existed. Was Hillary actually going to say THAT? Of course not! That’s no way to escape blame and help her boss Barack Obama get re-elected. Success means keeping your priorities straight, Kids.

Deflect Blame with Outrage

The use of feigned outrage is one of the favorite go-to plays in the liberal playbook for good reason. This tactic interrupts anyone planning to hold you accountable for screwing the pooch. It throws these unsuspecting suckers, who might have reasonably expected you to be contrite, off their obnoxious and counter-productive blame game. Your supporters will rally to your cause, inspired by your gutsy, full-throated cry “What difference at this point does it make?

Accept Responsibility, Sort of

Arrange an event at a friendly venue to express your regret over what happened in that situation where “mistakes were made.” After all, how can you not feel bad when tragedy strikes? It’s not like you are actually saying it was your fault, something that you definitely want to avoid at all costs.

If Anyone Brings it Up Again, Remind Them That You’ve Already Accepted Responsibility

When you are up for that next promotion, there will almost certainly be some naysayers who try to say you shouldn’t be eligible until you explain how things got so screwed up while you were in charge. Remember, I mentioned those two-faced backstabbers, right? So, here’s where you remind everyone that the situation they are dredging up is old news, something for which you’ve already offered a complete and conclusive explanation, and even expressed regret. Boom! Problem solved.

These simple strategies will ensure that no matter how much you mess up and then lie to cover it up, you will retain the status of a bonafide A-player, destined for great things.

As it turns out these tips are so powerful that they deal with all those pesky bodily fluids, including the blood of dead American diplomats.

The United States of Chicago

Dinesh D’Souza has run afoul of the Obama Administration:

Conservative author Dinesh D’Souza was indicted Thursday on federal charges of violating campaign finance laws by using straw donors to funnel money to a U.S. Senate candidate.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York announced the grand jury charges in a statement Thursday. D’Souza is expected to be arraigned Friday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.

I’m sure this would have never happened if, after the 2008 election, the FEC got to the bottom of the foreign money being donated to the Obama Election Campaign:

By Obama’s own admission, more than half of his contributions have come from small donors giving $200 or less. But unlike John McCain’s campaign, Obama won’t release the names of these donors.

For example, Obama has numerous donors who have contributed well over the $4,600 federal election limit. Many of these donors have never been contacted by the Obama campaign to refund the excess amounts to them. And more than 37,000 Obama donations appear to be conversions of  foreign currency.

According to a Newsmax analysis of the Obama campaign data before the latest figures were released, potential foreign currency donations could range anywhere from $12.8 million to a stunning $63 million in all. With the addition of $150 million raised in September, this amount could be much more.

Does anyone recall how that was resolved? Oh. That’s right. That election is over, let’s move on.

Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell , who reportedly told federal authorities last year thanks but no thanks to a plea deal, pleaded not guilty Friday to federal corruption charges for allegedly accepting gifts, vacations and loans.

His wife, Maureen, entered the same plea.

The McDonnells were indicted earlier in the week on a 14-count indictment that included charges of conspiracy, wire fraud and providing false statements in connection with the McDonnells’ relationship to Jonnie R. Williams, Sr., chief executive of nutritional supplements maker Star Scientific Inc.

Their jury trial has been set for July 28.

The Washington Post reported people familiar with case said the former governor rejected a plea deal that would have avoided charges for his wife. The paper said McDonnell would have had to plead guilty to a felony charge that “had nothing to do with corruption in office.”

“Before Lois Lerner took us before the federal judge, her last offer was for me to promise to never run for office again. That was always part of their demands,” Salvi said. “Before that last offer, another FEC representative that reported to Lerner wanted $200,000 and a promise not to run.”

I am stunned at the ‘prosecutorial discretion’ as it applies to the different political parties.

Charlene Lamb, cited for failures in leadership from the Department of State’s own Accountability Review Board report, has been promoted to Regional Security Officer. We’ve heard rumor that she’s slated for international duty in Canada. She started the security officer training last week, much to the dismay of many within the State Department.

For those not keeping track, Charlene Lamb was in charge of the office that denied extra security personnel to the U.S. Ambassador in Libya before the Sept. 11, 2011 attacks.

In the early days of this administration we all laughed about The New Black Panthers being found guilty of intimidating Hillary voters and then Attorney General Holder asked the judge to drop the charges. Never before had a judge been asked to reverse a guilty verdict by the highest law enforcement official in the Federal Government. It was unprecedented.
The First Amendment does not protect humanitarian groups or others who advise foreign terrorist organizations, even if the support is aimed at legal activities or peaceful settlement of disputes, the Supreme Court ruled Monday.
In a case that weighed free speech against national security, the court voted 6 to 3 to uphold a federal law banning “material support” to foreign terrorist organizations. That ban holds, the court said, even when the offerings are not money or weapons but things such as “expert advice or assistance” or “training” intended to instruct in international law or appeals to the United Nations.
The court’s majority said it was not abdicating its role in protecting constitutional freedoms but acknowledging that Congress and the executive branch are better situated than the judiciary to decide what kind of restrictions are needed to keep Americans safe in a post-Sept. 11 world of terrorist threats.

Search warrants, subpoenas and documents show that the FBI has been interested in links between the activists and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and Hezbollah.

In the early morning of Sept. 24, 2010, agents raided homes in Chicago and Minneapolis, issued subpoenas to 14 activists, and tried to question others around the country, including prominent antiwar organizers in North Carolina and California.

At 7 a.m., according to documents and interviews, about a dozen armed federal agents used a battering ram to force their way into Mick Kelly’s second-floor apartment, which sits over an all-night coffee shop in a working-class neighborhood of Minneapolis.

Kelly, 53, a cook in a University of Minnesota dormitory and a member of the Teamsters, said he was at work and his nightgown-clad wife, Linden Gawboy, was slow to answer the door.

In Chicago, the raid at the home of Weiner, 49, also targeted her husband, Joe Iosbaker, 52, a University of Illinois-Chicago office worker and a union steward for his SEIU local. The couple are among the grassroots activists close to the world once inhabited by Barack Obama who have been caught up in the investigation.

That was four years ago. Where are the court dates? I don’t even hear the cricket chirping.

Standards are good, double standards are not twice as good.

Top Ten Things Barack Obama Was Doing During the Benghazi Attack

After Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified last Thursday before the Senate Armed Services Committee, at least two things are very clear; specifically, Barack Obama and his minions lied to everyone about this attack that resulted in the murder of 4 Americans, not only about the cause, which was never a moronic YouTube video that no one saw, but more importantly, about his constantly monitoring the situation “well into the night.” Recall David Axelrod’s statement to Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, two days before the election:
“Chris, as I said, immediately when word of the attack came, the president was meeting with his top national security folks. He was talking to them well into the night. He was in touch with them during the day, as – during the next day as well. So, there is no question about the fact that he was focused on this.”
Now, unless Panetta was lying to Sen. Kelly Ayote and Sen. Lindsay Graham, we know that Axelrod’s statement was a complete, unabashed lie. I’ll leave it to you to decide. Who do you think was more likely to lie? Obama’s sleazy Chicago campaign operative two days before an election, or the retiring Sec. Def Panetta? The answer is obvious.
Less obvious is the answer to the question “where was Barack Obama during the 8 hours of the attack?” We know that he jetted off to Nevada for a campaign speech the next day. But what about the time between the pre-scheduled 30-minute meeting he had with Panetta and Dempsey at 5:00 pm Eastern and the next day when he did the vanishing act to Vegas Baby!
I suspect that Sen. Graham is going to get to the bottom of this mess, but until he does, let me present some possibilities about what our wondrous Dear Reader may have been doing while heroic Americans, who had warned Washington about the danger in Libya, and had begged for more security, were dying at the hands of jihadists.
  1. Checking hours that the Liberace Museum is open
  2. Asking Michelle’s permission to play Keno
  3. Calling Reggie Love for consultation on which swimming trunks to pack
  4. Making sure someone was prepared to walk Bo while he was away
  5. Making sure someone was prepared to walk Biden while he was away
  6. Picking out kill targets for future drone strikes
  7. Practicing his on-off “Negro” dialect to impress Harry Reid with his gift
  8. Going over the video story with Hilary, Axelrod and Susan Rice
  9. Reassuring Susan Rice that if she was able to make this video story fly, she would be the next Sec.of State
  10. Reassuring John F. Kerry that he would be the next Secretary of State after he threw Susan Rice under the bus when the whole video story blew up
It will interesting to see if any of the fearless truth seekers in the LSM show the slightest desire to reconcile the many inconsistent and shifting stories of Obama and his apparatchiks. No, I’m not holding my breath.

I commend to your attention this piece in The American Thinker concerning Hillary Clinton’s outburst “What difference — at this point — does it make?”

The simple question Senator Johnson revived gained a fever pitch of relevance when President Obama went on television, and to the United Nations, to condemn an anti-Islamic video which by that time he had to know was in no way related to the attacks.  (See here.)  And of course the precise context which heightened the relevance of this “video protest” lie was on display when, during a debate, Obama refused to answer questions about what he had done to help the Americans under attack, instead glaring condescendingly at Mitt Romney while delivering a carefully prepared (and frequently repeated) diatribe about his supposed “three orders,” none of which addressed the actual question as to what he had done during the assault to rescue the victims.

We now know, through Leon Panetta, The President of The United States, The Commander-in-Chief, the only person on the planet that could have authorized American troops into Libya, was nowhere to be found after a 30 minute meeting with SecDef Panetta where the president was told of the attack in Benghazi.
Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta on Thursday revealed he personally broke the news to President Obama that the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, was under attack last yearbut he and the president didn’t speak the rest of the night as the assault on the compound unfolded.
Remember: The President of The United States is the only person that can order troops into another country in an emergency like this. All the talk of orders to “stand down” at the airbase in Italy are meaningless without understanding this point. A general cannot order troops into another country- only the president can. But instead, this president went to bed.

This is an outrage. It is also outrageous that Mrs. Clinton would stall the Congressional hearing  that wants to get to the truth of the matter and then, when she finally appears before the committee, claims “What difference — at this point — does it make?”

If anyone would have used that line, say, after the Sandy Hook attack- “What difference — at this point — does it make?”- people would be gathering their pitchforks.

You see, “What difference — at this point — does it make?” is not an excuse: It’s a strategy.
12. Is your opinion of Hillary Clinton favorable, unfavorable or haven’t you heard enough about her?

As you can see, Mrs. Clinton enjoys some favorable numbers- even after her testimony. But look at this:

31. Do you approve or disapprove of President Obama's nomination of Chuck Hagel to be Secretary of Defense,
or don't you have an opinion on that?

Most people don't have a clue this guy is anti-Israel. Most have No Opinion.

This is how Mrs. Clinton's strategy takes hold: uninformed voters kept uninformed by a media that refuses
to report the news when it hurts the president. Or when Americans die from complete neglect.
32. Do you approve or disapprove of President Obama's nomination of John Kerry to be Secretary of State,

How could 30% not have an opinion of John F. Kerry? Don't they know he was in Viet Nam? I think the answer
lies in the demographic of this poll.

Republican                 24%

Democrat                   33

Independent                34

Other/DK/NA                 9

They have the Democrats at +9– they are interviewing a generation of people that are too busy texting their American Idol vote to be bothered with some nitwit pollster asking them about stupid stuff like the future of their country.

When it all comes tumbling down there are going to be a whole lot of people starving to death because they don’t know how to open a tin can.
