Obama To Bring The Hammer Down On Israel? Obama/Kerry To Strong Arm Israel

By Guest Contributor J.D. Longstreet
Now that Obama’s amateurish foreign policy efforts have managed to repel most any friend we had left in the Middle East, the one friend America has had, since at least 1948, is in his cross hairs.  Israel.Obama is in deep trouble at home.  Indications are that he has led his Democratic Party into a political abattoir as they are looking at a political massacre in November at the polls.   Around the world he is seen, more and more, as an amateur, a light weight, a — dare I say it– a flake (as in “an oddball”).  He is considered wonderfully gifted as an orator — and not much else. As a campaigner he’s great.  As a governor, not so much.

It’s called “misdirection.”  It’s what magicians do with their left hand while their right hand is actually performing the mechanics of the the illusion, or trick.  Politicians use misdirection all the time.

Presidents have been known to misdirect the voters gaze to a fabricated crisis, preferably thousands of miles away, when they find themselves in hot water here at home.   Their hope is that the press will latch onto the seeming  “big story/crisis” and allow them some time — and some wiggle room — to extricate themselves from the aforementioned hot water.

In my opinion, we are about to see misdirection played out right before our eyes once again by the Obama administration. Misdirection is time honored.  It was referred to as “bread and circuses” by the ancient Romans.

So, what’s up?

See, Israel is just not doing as it is told by Obama.   Benjamin Netanyahu is no fool.  He is also no lackey.  He’s his own man and he insists on remaining that way.
Sometime in January, Obama will present a framework agreement to the Israelis and the so-called Palestinians.  Middle East experts are of the opinion Obama intends to ratchet up the pressure on Netanyahu already under considerable pressure from the world community due to his disagreement with the “deal” the US is endeavoring to make with Iran to bar the Persians from creating their own nuclear arsenal.Secretary of State, John F. Kerry said recently:  “If we do not resolve the issues between Palestinians and Israelis, if we do not find a way to find peace, there will be an increasing isolation of Israel, there will be an increasing campaign of delegitimization of Israel that’s been taking place on an international basis.” – SOURCE: http://www.timesofisrael.com/its-going-to-get-bad-fast-between-israel-and-the-us/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

Already, the threats. Could this be Obama taking the Chicago method of practicing politics international, explicitly to pummel Israel into submitting to the Obama Regime’s demands?  Sure seems like it.

Obama does not JUST desire a deal between the Israelis and the so-called Palestinians, he desperately NEEDS it.  He COVETS a win to crow about. Something to polish away some of the tarnish applied by his own lies and inability to govern.

“He’s so wounded,” said influential Saudi Prince Alaweed bin Talal, referring to Obama. “It’s very scary. Look, the 2014 elections are going to begin. Within two months they’re going to start campaigning. Thirty-nine members of his own party in the House have already moved away from him on Obamacare. That’s scary for him.” – SOURCE:  http://www.timesofisrael.com/its-going-to-get-bad-fast-between-israel-and-the-us/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

So — why all the fuss?  Because the lefties in the mainstream media, as good little lapdogs of the Obama Regime, feel they must circle their wagons around Obama and pull out all the stops to make him look good (AGAIN!) — especially now that it is clear the public has rejected his presidency and will toss his political party out on its ear in a few short months.  (And the media wonders why people don’t read their newspapers and magazines, anymore — and don’t watch their TV news channels, anymore!  Geez!  How DUMB is that?)

Netanyahu has already stated, flat out, that whether or not any talks have a chance at success depends upon the Palestinians accepting that Israel has a right to actually exist.  The Palestinians want to discuss which state would get Jerusalem, the removal of Israeli settlements from land the Palestinians already claim as theirs, and the “right of return” of so-called Palestinian refugees.

Consider this:  If the Palestinians are granted “right of return” for those so-called refugees, there will be a tsunami of those so-called Palestinian refugees diluting the Israeli population to the point that the Israelis will be choked off, smothered, and neutralized, losing control of their country by losing control of their government at the ballot box as a result of the sheer weight of the numbers of Palestinians who would gain the positions of power within the Israeli government.

Our amateurish President is playing with fire, once again. He has managed to alienate practically all the Middle Eastern nations even those who grudgingly agreed to work with the US in diplomacy over the past forty or fifty years.

So when the question arises in the future as to who lost the Middle East for America, the resounding answer will be Obama.

Strong arming Israel, as a form of misdirection, will not work for Obama.  Entirely too many Americans support Israel for that method to have any chance, at all. Using Israel in a wag-the-dog scenario is a nonstarter.

But they’ll continue to throw themselves at a problem that is unsolvable by man.   It s pure vanity. As the Preacher of the Old Testament stated ages ago:  “… and behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind.”  (Ecclesiastes 1: 14)

Connecting the dots blasts.

A couple weeks ago, I wrote of the air attack on a munitions factory in the Sudan. It was clear, at the time, Israel was behind it as the Sudanese blamed them almost immediately:

Four military planes attacked the Yarmouk plant … We believe that Israel is behind it,” Information Minister Ahmed Belal Osman told reporters, adding that the planes appeared to approach the site from the east.

“Sudan reserves the right to strike back at Israel,” he said.

With a combat radius of 340 miles fully loaded and the target 1,000 miles away, they would need to refuel en route as drop tanks would diminish their ordnance capability- even if they had drop tanks, they would have to refuel.

A couple things stand out in this story.

Sudan, which analysts say is used as an arms-smuggling route to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip via neighboring Egypt…”

“A huge crater could be seen next to two destroyed buildings and what appeared to be a rocket lying on the ground.”

Last night, there was this story:

Jonathan Schanzer, a former counter-terrorism analyst at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, said the real agenda behind Israel’s assault last month on Hamas’ munitions stockpiles and smuggling tunnels was not simply to end the daily barrage of relatively primitive rockets that have become part of daily life in Israel. The real mission was to eliminate as many as 100 Iranian-built Fajr5 missiles – with the power to reach Tel Aviv – that had been sneaked into Gaza through Egypt. The Obama administration knew in advance of the operation and agreed that the missiles, built in a Sudanese factory, had to be neutralized to protect millions of Israeli citizens who were now within range of the deadly Iranian weapons, according to Schanzer.

That explains the rocket lying on the ground after the explosion in the Sudan.

“There’s little doubt that Iranian-built rockets came from Sudan through Egypt, and that Egypt’s security forces weren’t interested in intercepting the missiles,” Eric Trager, of the Washington Institute, an expert on Egyptian affairs, told FoxNews.com. “Morsi was more interested in furthering his own internal agenda than worrying about foreign policy issues at that time.”

Of course, the Israelis have long considered that possibility, prompting the deployment of a layered anti-missile system, built around the Iron Dome (for short-range rockets); upgraded Patriot units for short-range missiles like the SS-21 and SCUD variants, and the Arrow II system for longer-range missiles from Iran.  The recent conflict demonstrated that Iron Dome can handle mass volleys of rockets–including the larger Fajr-5–without assistance from other assets.  At one point, the Palestinians even tried to refine their “saturation” tactics, concentrating their launches at a single Iron Dome battery.  Their scheme failed; the system engaged rockets that threatened populated areas, while ignoring those bound for the open countryside, just as it was designed to do.  Not long after that failed “project,” the Palestinians were pressing for a firm cease-fire.While political motives for the “November war” cannot be discounted, it also seems clear that Hamas (along with its Iranian patrons) wanted a better read on how their tactics would fair against the Iron Dome, which is now entering wider operational service.  To say the least, Hamas got its answer during the week-long war, and it wasn’t the one they were looking for.

Not surprisingly, the current activity involving Assad’s CW stockpile has caught the attention of Israel’s neighbors.  Turkey has asked NATO to deploy two Patriot air defense battalions, to help defend the country from chemical-tipped missiles that might be fired from Syria.Meanwhile, Israel is considering a much more aggressive approach.  Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic reports that Prime Minister Netanyahu has sought Jordan’s permission to bomb Syrian WMD sites on two occasions in the last two months.  In both instances Jordan declined, saying the “timing wasn’t right.”With many Syrian CW facilities located near the Jordanian border, Israel believes it is important to have Amman’s permission before launching an attack through its airspace.  But as U.S. officials observe, Israel doesn’t need Jordan’s permission to go after Syria; over the years, the Israeli Air Force has struck a number of targets in Syrian-controlled territory with near-impunity.  So, why the sudden concern about Jordanian permission?

The marriage of missiles and chemical weapons would be a nightmare. And the assertion that the Palestinians were victorious is laughable.

Israel essentially achieved its main aims within the first few days, said Schanzer, noting that Michael Oren, Israel’s ambassador to the U.S., said as much when he remarked on Day Three of the campaign: “We have run out of good targets.”

Meryl Streep Has Nothing on Ambassador Susan Rice: Show Notes, 9/16/12

We opened the program with audio from Sen. Barack Obama from an NPR interview dated November, 2007, in which he assured us that his election would cause hostility toward the U.S. to evaporate. We also heard some soundbites from that unfortunate Cairo speech (June 2009). With last week’s murder of an American ambassador, the first time that’s happened since 1979, do you suppose he still believes that?

In a stunning performance, our U. N. Ambassador Dr. Susan Rice appeared on every Sunday morning talk show to repeat the ridiculous and laughable explanation for the murder of 4 Americans last week in Libya; specifically, it’s all about some obscure YouTube “movie,” which is actually an amateurish trailer for a movie that has been online since June, and that the attacks were random and spontaneous. She also told Jake Tapper that the United States is “very popular” in Libya. Gee, if they killed our ambassador and 3 other Americans when we’re “very popular,” I hate to imagine what they would do if we weren’t.

Ambassador Susan Rice: Libya Attack Not Premeditated – ABC News

What about the anti-Islamic filmmaker who donated a million dollars to Obama’s campaign?

Anti-Islam Filmmaker Donated Million Dollars To Obama Campaign

She repeated this baloney, even as the Libyan government was stating categorically that the attack was planned and pre-meditated. How can that be? On the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks? Who could believe that? Just how stupid does the Obama administration believe that you are?

What choice does the Obama administration have? If they admit the obvious, their whole “Osama bin Laden is dead” bumper-sticker foreign policy is exposed for the jejune foolishness that it clearly is. The murder of a U.S. ambassador in an orchestrated attack is al Qaeda’s greatest success in years, and it comes on the heels of our discovery that the One doesn’t have time to attend national security briefings. How about this for a new slogan? “Osama bin Laden is dead, and al Qaeda is revived!”

Is it possible that our enemies are responding to Obama’s Carteresque policy of disengagement? Could they have noticed what went on at the Democrat convention, not only the spiking the ball over the killing of bin Laden, and some very interesting changes in the democrats’ platform?

Naturally, the Lame Stream Media plays along, and recites the Regime’s official story (“it’s the video! It’s the video!”). If F. Chuck Todd, the gang at Morning Joe, and the rest of the bunch at the 24/7 nuthouse, MS-NBC, were reporting on the sinking of the Titanic, and neutral observers reported that the cause was the iceberg, and the White Star Lines was claiming that leprechauns sabotaged the ship, they would dutifully report both stories as possibly true.

A few inconvenient facts that our LSM friends are also avoiding, and that make it difficult for them to keep selling this story, such as

Obama’s Skipped Intel Meetings Under Scrutiny

Peripherally interesting suggestion from the Hillbuzz guy:

State Department Sent Gay Man to be ambassador to Muslim country — Chris Stevens was gay

Of course, perhaps the reason Dr. Rice was chosen as this week’s mouthpiece is because she is U.N. Ambassador. Recall that JFK referred to his U.N. Ambassador, Adlai Stevenson, as “my official liar.”

Meanwhile, while there appears to be a lack of security for Americans in the Middle East, rest assured knowing that Chicago consigliere Valerie Jarrett is being protected, and Obama has no time to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu, but does have time to meet with Pimp with a Limp, David Letterman and Beyoncè and Jay Z. Don’t expect to see many photos of that latter event, a $40,000 a plate fundraiser. Apparently, David Plouffe must have told them that, given the continuing levels of unemployment and the exploding Middle East, “the optics” would not benefit their election prospects.

Barack Obama and Other Enemies Within: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

With a little over than 7 weeks to go until Election Day, the Obama flacks who masquerade as journalists, have called the race officially over, based on polls which may or may not have been taken in the newsrooms at CNN, MS-NBC and the New York Times. Clearly, as they try to protect the Dear Reader, they hope that the American people will achieve unprecedented levels of stupidity by failing to connect some ridiculously huge and obvious dots. They claim that the killing of 4 Americans, including the ambassador, in Libya, had nothing to do with Obama administration policies, but rather was caused by a “disgusting and reprehensible” movie. The only problem is that the “movie,” which is actually only a trailer posted on YouTube, has been up online since July. We are actually supposed to believe that? Seriously?

Can it really be a coincidence that the last time an American ambassador was murdered was in 1979? Is it also a coincidence that these Islamic fanatics chose to suddenly discover and express their rage over this video on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks? And what about the anti-Islam filmmaker who donated a million dollars to Barack Obama’s campaign?

Clearly, the second coming of Jimmy Carter is working out just as well as the first go-round, both in terms of our stagnant economy and our position in the world.

Another critically important question: do we really believe that the Obama administration is determined to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon? Isn’t it more likely that, like Madeleine Albright and other Carter re-treads, he laments the fact that the U.S. Is the world’s sole superpower? We’ll ask our special guest Trevor Loudon, co-author of Barack Obama and the Enemies Within.

Tune in today for the rest of the story.
