Wanted: Dead or Alive

Remember Christopher Dorner, the L.A. police officer turner alleged murderer? He had written a manifesto charging California police with all sorts of things, including lying. Now we all know the police would never lie.

Well, now comes word that some of the reward for the “arrest and conviction” has been rescinded because, wait for it… he wasn’t arrested nor convicted.

The city of Riverside is pulling its pledge of $100,000 toward the $1 million reward offered during the manhunt for rogue ex-LAPD officer Christopher Dorner.

Because the Riverside City Council resolution stipulated the money was for information leading to Dorner’s arrest and conviction, the city will withdraw its pledge because neither condition was met, Riverside city spokeswoman Cindie Perry told NBCLA.

Remember how worried the authorities were about this one man crime wave?

The police headquarters building in downtown Los Angeles was ringed by officers on foot and parked patrol cars, and snipers were in place on the roof in case the wanted ex-cop who vowed warfare against police and their families made a move there. Other police stations throughout the area had heavy visible protection as well.

[L.A. Police Chief]  Beck said Los Angeles police have launched more than 40 security details to protect law enforcement personnel and others they believe are Dorner’s targets, based on the Internet posting.

[San Bernardino Sheriff John] McMahon said 125 officers were going door to door and attempting to track the suspect, and that a SWAT team was providing added security to those in the community.

As we know now, “those in the community” means the people named in Dorner’s manifesto- the police. From the 1981 District of Columbia Court of Appeals:

By a 4-3 decision the court decided that Warren was not entitled to remedy at the bar despite the demonstrable abuse and ineptitude on the part of the police because no special relationship existed. The court stated that official police personnel and the government employing them owe no duty to victims of criminal acts and thus are not liable for a failure to provide adequate police protection unless a special relationship exists. The case was dismissed by the trial court for failure to state a claim and the case never went to trial.[3]

When the reward was reward was issued, the police were asking the citizenry for help. While the manifesto clearly named the police as the targets, the community was in danger of only stray bullets, and police gunfire.

Two women in a blue pickup, who were delivering copies of the Los Angeles Times, came under fire by Los Angeles Police Department officers on Thursday morning in what Police Chief Charlie Beck has described as a case of “mistaken identity.”

Moments later, Torrance Police Department officers responding to the gunfire slammed their cruiser into a black truck being driven by David Perdue and opened fire. Perdue’s attorney described the shooting as “unbridled police lawlessness” in an interview with The Times on Saturday.

Dorner had these guys so jumpy, they would crash into a pick-up truck into one before opening fire and  opened fire on the two women occupants of another, just to be on the safe side. Citizens be damned. They will pick up the payments for the lawsuits.

All of this could normally be chalked up to ‘mistaken identity’ even if the two women and the surfer dude were not black like Dorner, if there was an aire of truthfulness coming from the police department, but sadly, there is none.

I start to see a pattern. Dorner was never going to be “arrested and convicted”. They knew that all along. I wasn’t surprised when they burnt down that house. The taxpayers can rebuild it.

When we see stories such as this:

Alameda County supervisors have really taken to heart the adage that government should run like a business — rewarding County Administrator Susan Muranishi with the Wall Street-like wage of $423,664 a year.

For the rest of her life.

It becomes evident that the reward was never going to be paid. California is too broke to be paying rewards. They have salaries and pensions to pay.

Could Dorner have been right? Are the California police liars? Are they just there to protect themselves, their administrators, and their pensions?

“We’re from the government and we’re here to help… ourselves.”

Allegiance and the Duty to Protect Updated

The interwebs are all abuzz about the murderer Dorner. There are some really fascinating discussions concerning the manhunt, why he flipped out, and what the ramifications are. Still others wonder about his true motives.

Some, it seems, think the lefties are rooting for him because of the alleged entrenched racism in the L.A. department. Others worry that given the anti-police sentiment in certain quarters he’ll find sympathizers who might aid him. Imagine if there were 10 people like him out there. They could bankrupt the state with all the police overtime. When Dorner burned his truck in the mountains near Big Bear it sent a frenzy of police activity there to search 200 cabins with SWAT teams and a search of the mountainside to no avail. Dorner knows these guys are burning through overtime looking for him. They will have to rest- at the very least work in shifts.

What is known is he has the Los Angeles police on their heals. Knowing their tactics, techniques, and procedures as well as all their unmarked cars, and in some instances home phone numbers has Dorner in their OODA Loop.

That, and the growing anti-police sentiment in L.A. as more and more innocent people are shot at has the public asking why police get better protection from one assailant then the general public. Specifically, why do some 40 police officers get round the clock protection?

Beck said Los Angeles police have launched more than 40 security details to protect law enforcement personnel and others they believe are Dorner’s targets, based on the Internet posting.

The police have enough problems with rogue cops. This thing doesn’t need to escalate. It needs to end. Before uncomfortable questions get asked, like does the protection of security details for 40 police officers create a new class of citizen? How can the state promulgate laws to disarm the public- that they have no duty to protect-while affording their co-workers around the clock security? Who is paying for that?

The public cannot get that sort of protection, why do the police? They have firearms for self protection. If a member of the public feels threatened, they have a waiting period before they can pick up a weapon. Then it may be too late.

The Supreme Court ruled in 1981 the police are not obligated to protect citizens.  The police in L.A. can muster all the firepower they want, while you and I will be disarmed.

The duty of the [State] towards its subjects is to govern and protect. The reciprocal duty of the subject towards the Crown is that of allegiance.

As you can see from the Supreme Court Warren decision  in 1981 and going as far back as Calvin’s Case where protection is withheld by the sovereign no duty can be required.

Thus, when the agents of the government, the police, protect themselves before they protect you, they have created a new class of citizen, one that is more important than yours.

Yikes! This is how people like D.B.Cooper and Bonny & Clyde become legends in their own minds.

My Top Ten Picks for the New Pope

With Pope Benedict announcing that he will be stepping down at the end of this month, it’s time to look at some of the likely (and some unlikely) candidates to succeed him. Conceding that some black Cardinal (don’t know his name and don’t care) from Africa and Timothy Dolan from New York are the top two candidates, there is still some room for dark horse candidates.

Here are my picks for the top ten odds-on underdogs who might not make great Popes in the traditional sense, but would sure make the illuminati of the popular culture happy. I realize that they are not all Catholics, but should that really matter? If we can have gay Boy Scout leaders, shouldn’t we be able to have non-Catholic Popes? This is the twenty-first century, after all.

10. Bill Clinton. Based on his elevation to deity by the mainstream media, America’s randy ex-president would have to accept a drop in status, but still might consider the job if the celibacy thing can be revoked.
9. Mickey Rourke. Unlike Clinton, Rourke is at least a Catholic, and the papacy might benefit from a Pontiff with a scraggly, hacked up face and a tough guy image. Take that, Ayatollah!
8. Tina Fey. First woman Pope. What an advance for humankind. Ms. Fey has demonstrated her brilliance with her Sarah Palin imitation. Now it’s time for her to sanctify us with her holiness. She is holy, isn’t she? After all, she is the creator of 30 Rock…
7. Nancy Pelosi. Also would be the first woman Pope, and she is definitely a Catholic in the values smorgasbord sense. This choice would thrill Planned Parenthood and could raise big bucks for the Church in the U.S.
6. Ron Reagan Junior. Lil Ronnie has pretty much shot his wad as a color man at televised dog shows. It’s time for the big time. And imagine the synergy he’d create with Bishop Desmond Tutu.
5. Christopher Dorner. This assumes that the crusading ex-cop is still alive at the end of the month. This would make the tweeting left very happy, as Dorner is doing what a Pope is supposed to do- fighting racism. As to his cold blooded killing of innocents; hey, that’s why we have confession.
4. Barack Obama. The Church has a lot of wealth. Who better to redistribute it?
3. Lady Gaga. The third and final woman (as least she says she’s a woman) candidate, the Gag-ster would definitely send thrills up the legs of the College of Cardinals.
2. Steve Kroft. As official Obama ass kisser, Sixty Minutes correspondent Kroft could bring his eager pucker to the Holy See and personally oversee the effort to make Barack Obama the first non-Catholic saint, and the first saint to be cannonized via FaceBook.
1. David Brock. Brock, the quasi-religious homosexual founder of Media Matters, would be the first ever admittedly gay (the key word is admittedly) Pope. Since we all know that Jesus, like Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Abraham Lincoln and every great leader in history with the exception of stud President Bill Clinton (see item 1) was gay, Brock would be a most fitting choice, especially for fans of the TV show “Glee.”

Alright, I know these picks are B.S. None of these numb nuts would make a great Pope or a great anything. Fact is, they all suck, with the possible exception of Mickey Rourke. But look at it this way- with this collection of liberal freaks running the Church, the rest of us would seem very, very normal. And perhaps the world at large would realize it.

Larry Elder on Fathers, Jack Cashill on Hillary’s Lies-Today on The Teri O’Brien Show

The Sage of South Central, Larry Elder, will be our guest to discuss his riveting new book, Dear Father, Dear Son…Two Lives, Eight Hours, which describes his horrific childhood with a brutal father who beat him and his brothers on a regular, albeit not always predictable, basis. How did growing up in this environment shape his future, especially his attitude about fathers and their absence? He has spoken eloquently about the epidemic of broken families in the black community, but what about American society in general? Don’t the recent high-profile mass killings committed by young men with untreated mental illness say that we have a serious social problem involving our boys and young men? We’ll also ask him about his decades long battle against the race baiters who have tried to enlist black Americans in a cult of victimhood, and the case of former Los Angeles cop Christopher Dorner, now accused of two murders, and author of a bizarre manifesto. The Lame Stream Media has scrubbed references to Mr. Dorner’s admiration for well-known media liberals like Chris Matthews and Piers Morgan, as well as his admiration for Barack Obama. Is he surprised?

After her star turn before the Senate, in which she received was praised to the skies for asking the brilliant question “what difference does it make?” why four Americans were slaughtered under her watch in Benghazi, Hillary Clinton enjoys absurdly high approval ratings, proving again the power of the Lame Stream Media to shape public perception. In retrospect, she’s probably happy that she didn’t have to take that 3 a.m. phone call. Sadly, as we learned last week when former Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta and Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, no one took that desperate plea for help from Libya. Apparently, the narcissistic, affirmative-action assisted, empty suit playing dress up as Commander-in-Chief was AWOL. At least now we know the reason for the coverup, featuring that ridiculous claim about a silly anti-Muslim video being the cause. The current occupant of the Oval Office was …where when those four brave Americans were being murdered? When precisely did Barack Hussein Obama learn of the death of our Ambassador? What was he doing during the siege? Will David Axelrod ever be called on his deliberate lie, which conveniently took place right before the presidential election, that Obama was “talking to his national security folks well into the night” about the situation in Libya? Many of us are more interested in the answers to these questions than to the other weighty issues that seem to occupy the attention of over-the-air broadcast outlets, such as Chris Brown’s latest brush with the law, or an East Coast snowstorm. We’ll ask our guest, prolific author (Deconstructing Obama) Jack Cashill, about “Hillary’s First Lie,” the subject of a recent piece he wrote for The American Thinker, and also about the questions he thinks prospective CIA director John Brennan must answer about Barack Obama’s passport and the One’s mysterious 1981 trip to Pakistan.

Michelle Obama suddenly discovers that people are being murdered with guns in her home town, Chicago, and travels there to use a dead girl as a prop. Stay classy, Michelle!

Marco Rubio will deliver one response to the State of the Union Address. He is featured on the cover of irrelevant rag Time Magazine as the “Republican Savior,” but is he an Article II Natural Born Citizen?

Tune in today for the rest of the story.
