In what has to be an audition for his latest standup routine, Barry/Barack expresses concern about Mitt Romney’s sinister and mysterious “Swiss bank accounts,” explaining that when you run for president, you have to be “an open book.” I AM NOT making this up. As I frequently say, when it comes to this bunch, you can’t make it up.
Barack Hussein Obama (Praise Be His Name) travels the Midwest, inveighing against outsourcing, a concept obviously invented by Mitt Romney, in a Canadian-made bus, and nostalgically recalls childhood vacations at Howard Johnson’s. In a purely coincidental development, for the first summer since he ascended to the throne, he and Her Royal Wideness will not be taking the princesses to Blue Heron Farm, where the rate is $30,000 a week, in Martha’s Vineyard for one of their summer vacations.
As Team Obama sends several of its apparatchiks to appear on the Sunday shows to bleat the unified mantra about Mitt Romney’s personal wealth, peppering their speeches with references to “Swiss bank accounts,” and suggestions that Gov. Romney is not only secretive, but possibly engaging in something sinister and even illegal. Is the Romney campaign responding adequately to this effort to define him? On Fox News Sunday, fill-in host John Roberts leaves Debbie Wasserman Schulz even more confused than usual by confronting her with facts, and by asking her if she agrees with David Plouffe that the ridiculously anemic job numbers released Friday are “what everyone expected.”

While the Inside-the-Beltway geniuses obsess over the Romney campaign’s missteps, and his family vacation, hoping that we won’t notice the reeking stench of our stagnating economy, we in Real America count the days until the voters can undo the bad hiring decision they made in 2008. Even many members of the crowd of slobbering sycophants that helped sell the Obama brand now realize that the packaging was very misleading, as painful as it is for them to admit. This week we’ll ask whether Barack Obama’s undoing will not be the rotten economy, but his manufactured biography. It’s increasingly clear that in 2008 the public was completely had, duped into electing a fictional character. Now, a dogged detective is demanding answers. Will Susan Daniels get Barack Obama disqualified from the ballot in Ohio?
Of course, we can’t depend on Ms. Daniels and the other tireless patriots who have been insisting that Barack Obama is not an Article II “natural born citizen” to rid our country of the scourge that is the Obama presidency. Is the Romney campaign as lame as his opponents in the Lame Stream Media suggest? Were you satisfied with his response to the Supreme Court’s contorted decision on Obamacare and the anemic job numbers released last Friday? If you could give him advice, what would you tell him?
Perhaps you might suggest that Mitt shouldn’t give his LSM enemies the opportunity to incessantly run front page stories featuring him in his speed boat. In an amazing coincidence, Barack, Michelle and the girls will not be returning to the $30,000-per-week resort, Blue Heron Farm, on Martha’s Vineyard where they have gone the past 3 summers, and he’s travelling around Ohio, regaling audiences with stories about childhood vacations spent at Howard Johnson’s. These delightful memories are no doubt as true as every other aspect of his amazing life story.
Poor Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz tries to defend Barack Obama’s failures on Fox News, while Gov. Bobby Jindal is today’s designated Romney surrogate.If Mitt Romney selects Bobby Jindal or Marco Rubio, neither of whom are Article II “natural born citizens” as his running mate, will you support him?

Thursday morning when I first heard the results of the Obamacare decision, I recalled some words from John Roberts confirmation hearing back in 2005, when he quoted Professor of Law John MacArthur Maguire, who referred to law as the “the wise restraints that make men free.” Until I read the decision, I assumed that he must be finding some way to show great deference to Congress. In fact, it was just the opposite. As the always brilliant Justice Scalia points out in his dissent, Justice Roberts didn’t interpret the statute. He rewrote it, and he did so in direct contravention of not only the Founders’ plan, as expressed in Federalist Papers, but also in the legislative history. That’s a legalistic way of saying Congress knew what it was doing, and it specifically rejected versions of the Affordable Care Act (I laugh every time I hear that name) that called the “penalty” a “tax.” He engaged in ridiculous gymnastics, sophistry really, first correctly stating that stretching the Commerce Clause to the point of penalizing those who don’t buy something would make the federal government’s power nearly unlimited, then proceeding to write an opinion that makes the taxing power of the federal government nearly unlimited.
So the question is why did he do it? Why did he save Obama’s bacon by giving him and surrogates the opportunity to start their usual “OK, nothing to see hear, move on, conversation over, the Court has ruled ” routine on the most intrusive law in the history of this republic? Why did he give democrats the cover of constitutionality for this monstrous scheme? There are have several theories. Charles Krauthammer argued that Roberts is determined to protect the reputation of the Court against charges of being purely partisan. That may be the case. If it is, I say that would be like someone worrying about whether the neighbors think his wife is a slut or her husband is a fat loser while a guy is poised to not only bulldoze his house, but the whole neighborhood. Our civil liberties and the future of this country versus the “reputation of the Court?” There’s no contest. Was the Chief Justice cowed when Barack berated the Court during the State of Union, and then he and his apparatchiks went all Alinsky on them about the Citizens United case? Was he determined to bend over backwards to show that he’s too big a person to hold Barack Obama’s opposition to his own confirmation against the president by foregoing to chance to really stick it to him when he had the chance? Or was he simply saying “elections have consequences,” and throwing it back to us, knowing that November is right around the corner?
One of our guests today, author and breitbart.com columnist Ben Shapiro, author of Prime-Time Propaganda: The True Hollywood Story of How the Left Took Over Your TV predicted that John Roberts might betray Constitutional originalists back in 2005! How did he know? We’ll ask him.

Now he turns his incisiveness on the supposedly definitive biography of Barack Obama, David Maraniss,’ Barack Obama: the Story, and asks how such an exhaustively-researched tome could tip toe around the gaps in the Obama nativity narrative.
