Male Olympian’s “Alternative Lifestyle”: Married to the Mother of His Child

DavidWiseFrom the Washington Times

David Wise, 23, who just won the Olympic gold for freestyle skiing, has now made headlines for a different reason: He’s married to a woman, has a 2-year-old and one day wants to be a pastor — and that’s an usual path, NBC deems.
NBC reporter Skyler Wilder wrote: “David Wise is at the top of his sport. He’s always smiling among his friends and competitors, however, he’s not like the rest of the field. He is mature.”
The profile piece also goes on: “At such a young age, Wise has the lifestyle of an adult. He wears a Baby Bjorn baby carrier around the house. He also attends church regularly and says he could see himself becoming a pastor a little later down the road.”
But it was the title the evoked a strong response, Deseret News reported: “David Wise’s alternative lifestyle leads to Olympic gold.” (emphasis mine)

In other words, what our parents, grandparents and we call “normal.”

But then, we’re “out of the mainstream” as Sen. Dick “Eddie Haskell” Durbin would say, right, Comrade?

Swinging Justice Kennedy Told Us 17 Years Ago That He Favored Gay Marriage

Yesterday’s Supreme Court decision requiring the federal government to pay federal benefits to couples in so-called same-sex “marriages” was no surprise. After Justice Kennedy’s ridiculous, emotionally-driven opinion in 2003′s Lawrence v. Texas, a case that invalidated state laws against sodomy, it was only a matter of time, provided that Swinging Tony was still on the Court. Now, predictably, the Supreme Court has jumped the shark.

How nauseating was it to see moronic militant homosexual advocates trot out the predictable drivel that recognizing homosexual “marriage” is wonderful for “the children?” We all know that liberals seeking to destroy traditional institutions, trample on our liberty and confiscate our property never fail to use “the children” as a justification, but it was particularly offensive here, since it is manifest that the best thing for children is to be born to a married man and woman and to grow up in their home. Research has repeatedly demonstrated that fact. Having two “dads” or two “moms” is not the same thing, and only those who are pretending otherwise to promote a political agenda say otherwise. The relentless pursuit to force society to normalize homosexuality is all about adults, and always has been. So they need to let that talking point go.

Not that the giddy celebrants I saw doing the Happy Dance yesterday were completely wrong. I saw Christine Quinn, openly lesbian candidate for New York City mayor,  analyze the Huffington decision, the one in which the Court sent the Proposition 8 case back to California because its opponents had a lack of standing. Her take was that the Court was saying was she always says says “My marriage doesn’t harm anyone else.” Of course, that’s a vapid, imbecilic and inaccurate statement of what lack of standing means as a matter of law, and given that fact, of course, moron of the century Chris “Thrill up My Leg” Matthews agreed completely. Leaving the ignorance about legal matters aside, Ms. Quinn is correct. The Left has spent the last 50 years working to destroy the traditional family, and once many decided to not only tolerate, but embrace, immorality, with radical feminists convincing women that it was “liberating” to hit the sheets with as many guys as possible, confident that they could safely rid themselves with any inconvenient tissue mass that resulted and that marriage was “slavery,” this so-called “same-sex marriage” was inevitable. Once heterosexual couples decided it was cool to shack up and that producing bastard kids was the thing to do, where did we think we would end up? Congratulations, homosexuals. You can get “married” for what that’s worth. It’s like being able to be elected Phi Beta Kappa by sending in $20. So Ms. Quinn is right.

How appropriate was it that this whole fight was about not only forcing many to accept as normal conduct that we consider deviant but also federal benefits? At the end of the day, the Left is all about reduces everything about human life to economics, after all.

As I watched the breathless commentators praise this decision, and the rapid pace of social change, I was reminded of Joe Biden’s 2012 comment, crediting the sitcom “Will and Grace” with helping the American public “evolve” to the point that we could take the next step down the moral sewer. He’s absolutely correct, and here’s something I’ll bet you haven’t heard. Back in 1990, two guys wrote a book called After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90′s. It’s basically like a “Rules for Radicals” to get us where we are today accepting homosexuality. Using the popular culture was a critical component of their strategy, and they succeeded brilliantly.

As disappointing as this DOMA decision was, I have to admit that any day when I agree with both Joe Biden and militant homosexual activists is notable.

Was Bystander-in-Chief’s Dithering “Decision” to Jump Into Syrian Mess Another Shiny Object?

Remember the swooning and slobbering that we endured after Barack Obama’s Cairo speech in 2009? Back then, the brilliant pundits predicted a beautiful new era of peace, love and understanding in the centuries-old powder keg that is the Middle East, simply because of the majestic and healing presence of the magnificent new president. Flash forward to today, and face the ugly, and very obviously predictable, reality of that region: the Muslim Brotherhood large and in charge in Egypt, Libya so dangerous that after our ambassador and three other Americans were murdered there last year, the FBI had to wait 2 weeks to investigate, and Syria exploding, with Iran and Russia turning the tide in favor of Bashar Assad. It has been nearly two years since Barack Obama stated “Assad must go!” Apparently, the Syrian dictator and the game-changing allies who are helping him win didn’t get that memo. They appear to be immune to Barack’s alleged irresistible charm and persuasion. After dithering for nearly two years, and probably egged on by Bill Clinton’s calling him a wuss, our Dear Reader finally acted decisively, sort of. He demonstrated courageous leadership by striding to the podium to announce that Assad’s actions will not stand! Not really. Actually, he sent some guy named  Ben Rhodes out to make the announcement. Ben Rhodes? Who is he? Are you freakin’ kidding me? I half expected a reporter to ask him a question and have him reply “I don’t actually work here, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.” It would have been like George W. Bush sending Barney’s dog walker out to announce the beginning of the liberation of Iraq. Was this somewhat ill-formed new policy announced to divert attention from Barack and Michelle’s latest effort to enjoy their well-deserved reparations, a little excursion to Ireland, followed by a $100 million trip to Africa on our dime?

In other profiles in courage, listeners to last week’s show were the first to hear about Sen. Marco Rubio’s Eddie Haskell moment, in which he appeared to do a 180 on the issue of border security. We’re being told that he is walking that back, but if that’s true, why did he vote against the Grassley Amendment? We’re also being told that Sen. Cornyn’s border security amendment to the Gang of 8 proposal will make everything all right, although some criticized it as simply a way to give Republicans political cover to vote for amnesty. Is it that bad, or is it actually wors

In another example of events that are both hilarious and depressing at the same time, FBI director Robert Mueller appeared before the House Judiciary Committee. You will not believe the ridiculous answers that he gave to questions from Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. Troy Gowdy, and Rep. Louie Gohmert. Who is Abdurahman Alamoudi and what connection did he have to the Boston bombing, one that seemed to have eluded the FBI until after the fact? What is the FBI’s Operations Review Committee, and what role did CAIR (the Council for American-Islamic Relations) and the ACLU have in creating it to ensure that mosques were exempt from any anti-terrorism surveillance?

On this Father’s Day, author Taleeb Starkes will join us to talk about what he describes as the dysfunctional and criminal subculture in the black community. Is he correct? If so, how does the high rate of illegitimacy in the black community contribute to the existence of this subculture?

Tune in today for the rest of the story.

Do You Suppose That This Guy is an Obama Voter?

Is it just me, or does this guy look like the epitome of the Obama voter?

From The Smoking Gun:

Meet Corey Curtis.

The Wisconsin man, who has fathered nine children with six women, was ordered yesterday to cease procreating until he can support his numerous offspring.

At Curtis’s sentencing yesterday for bail jumping and failure to pay child support, Circuit Court Judge Tim Boyle told the 44-year-old Racine man that his frequent breeding was to be curbed as a condition of his three-year probation term.

According to the article, he owes about $90,000 in back child support.

I guess Sandra Fluke was right. We do need to get those contraceptives spread around STAT!

Other questions that occur to me: how many of his baby mommas are on food stamps and receive other government assistance? Do you suppose that they have cars, cell phones and flat screen tvs? Does he? Discuss among yourselves.
