Barack’s Mission Accomplished Speech

During yesterday’s “mission accomplished” speech, LIVE from KABUL!, the One, clearly a cross between Gen. George Patton, Winston Churchill and Jack Bauer, spoke to voters, and said the following:

“Our goal is not to build a country in America’s image or to eradicate every vestige of the Taliban,” he said. “These objectives would require many more years, many more dollars and many more American lives. Our goal is to destroy al-Qaeda, and we are on a path to do exactly that.”

Great goal, Barack, except is destroying al-Qaeda enough to keep us safe? Probably not. From the Washington Times, “No Safety in a Weaker al-Qaeda:”

U.S. intelligence officials who recently briefed reporters on al Qaedasaid bin Laden’s death removed the terrorist group’s most effective and inspirational leader and hobbled its capacity for staging a complicated assault. But they said the threat from al Qaeda affiliates has increased.

“The organization that brought us 9/11 is essentially gone,” a senior U.S. counterterrorism official said on the condition of anonymity, but “it’s really too soon to declare victory.”

Affiliates such as al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, al Qaeda inIraqal Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb and al-Shabab inSomalia carry out the bulk of attacks, said Robert T. Cardillo, deputy director of national intelligence.

So the only thing missing was the “Mission Accomplished” banner, something I have yet to hear our Lame Stream Media friends mention. Also left out of the slobbering coverage of this obviously politically motivated road show, any mention of Pakistan. Has anyone even asked them for an explanation about how it was they were able to miss seeing Osama bin Laden right under their noses? Or doesn’t that matter now that it’s an election year?

Barack Obama: Osama’s Revenge?

On last Sunday’s show, I speculated that, last spring, when Team Six showed up to terminate Osama bin Laden with extreme prejudice, perhaps he, like Uncle Omar, should have considered calling the White House. I made that suggestion not because of any family ties between the two cult leaders, although given the shadowy nature of both of their pasts, nothing would surprise me at this point. Rather, I wondered if perhaps bin Laden could have at least gotten himself the Gitmo treatment (orange peel chicken prepared according to Koranic standards, lots of soccer time, state of the art health care, fresh prayer rugs on a regular basis, video games and cable tv, as opposed to that 1970’s era, wired relic he had) by reminding the One during that phone call that they share a common mission: to “remake” America by destroying its economy.
Consider this comment from the late terrorist, cited in a piece entitled “September 11 and the Cycle of Revenge” by professor/useful idiot/Dickens character Simon Critchley and published in the New York Times:

He [bin Laden] admits that Al Qaeda spent $500,000 on the 9/11 attacks, while estimating that the United States lost, at the lowest estimate, $500 billion in the event and the aftermath. He even does the math, “That makes a million American dollars for every Al Qaeda dollar, by the grace of God Almighty.” He concludes, ominously, “This shows the success of our plan to bleed America to the point of bankruptcy, with God’s will.”

Enter, from Stage Left, B. Hussein Obama, who having surfed a wave of white guilt, meaningless generalities designed to appeal to low-information, emotionally-driven voters, and Chicago machine politics into the U.S. Senate, was ideally positioned to take advantage of the Lame Stream Media’s demonization of the Bush administration and the actions they took to prevent, successfully it’s worth noting, another 9/11. Their endless bleating about “torture,” “weapons of mass destruction” and “the recession,” with that horrific employment rate of 7.6%, helped lift an stunningly unqualified, thin-skinned, narcissistic empty suit into the Oval Office to begin his “historic” presidency. After three years of his able leadership, we have “historic” poverty rates. From Reuters:

The number of Americans living below the poverty line rose to a record 46 million last year, the government said on Tuesday, underscoring the challenges facing President Barack Obama and Congress as they try to tackle high unemployment and a moribund economy.

When we add the $4 trillion increase in the debt since he assumed office, I think we can agree. It’s official. He IS historic!
See the irony here? Barack Obama, a guy determined to work for some of the same objectives as al Qaeda’s Number 1, was assisted in his objective to win the White House, and thereby be in a position to implement his plans, by the actions taken by his predecessor to defeat that enemy.
It remains to be seen whether OBL will be able to look up next November, smile to his fellow hell dwellers and say “Mission accomplished!”
