Barack and Hillary Knew They Were Lying About Benghazi in September 2012

A commentor on this previous post stated “yes you are stupid . stop showing , and stop beating a dead horse .Benghazi is a not a issue .” Bad grammar and punctuation aside, I think you get Questionman’s point.

Hey Questionman, remember this?

This story from CBS News appeared on September 20, 2012, back when CBS, and every other LSM outlet, was buying this baloney.

Marked by the U.S. Embassy seal, advertisements condemning an anti-Islam video appeared on Pakistani television on Thursday in an apparent attempt to undercut anger against the United States, where the film was produced. Hundreds of youths, however, clashed with security officials as they tried in vain to reach the embassy in Islamabad amid anger in many countries over the film’s vulgar depiction of the Prophet Muhammad.

The advertisements appear to be an effort by the U.S. government to dampen chaos surrounding the film and undo some of the damage to America’s image in the Muslim world. Violence linked to the movie has left at least 30 people in seven countries dead, including the American ambassador to Libya.(emphasis mine) Two people have died in protests in Pakistan.

Now, CBS News realizes they were played. Of course, given the fact that the Libyan president said immediately after the Benghazi terrorist attack that it WAS NOT a spontaneous protest over a video that no one saw, you’d think they would have caught on a lot sooner. A six-year old knew that the story they sent Susan Rice out to recite was laughable. Perhaps you might learn a lesson from this experience, my sycophantic Jurassic media friends?

The lid is coming off this coverup. From a no-longer fooled CBS News:

The deputy of slain U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens has told congressional investigators that a team of Special Forces prepared to fly from Tripoli to Benghazi during the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks was forbidden from doing so by U.S. Special Operations Command South Africa.

The account from Gregory Hicks is in stark contrast to assertions from the Obama administration, which insisted that nobody was ever told to stand down and that all available resources were utilized. Hicks gave private testimony to congressional investigators last month in advance of his upcoming appearance at a congressional hearing Wednesday.

According to excerpts released Monday, Hicks told investigators that SOCAFRICA commander Lt. Col. Gibson and his team were on their way to board a C-130 from Tripoli for Benghazi prior to an attack on a second U.S. compound “when [Col. Gibson] got a phone call from SOCAFRICA which said, ‘you can’t go now, you don’t have the authority to go now.’ And so they missed the flight … They were told not to board the flight, so they missed it.”

More to come at Rep. Issa’s hearings the day after tomorrow. When will they learn. It’s not the crime. It’s the coverup.

One more point worth remembering. On October 22, 2012, the date of the last presidential debate, the villain of this story was not Hillary Clinton, who completely neglected her responsibility to protect our diplomats, nor her boss Barack Obama. It was Mitt Romney for daring to mention that fact. Check out some examples here, here and here.

Our Caring Dear Leader Shows His Enormous Caring Again

First published at Clash Daily

Barack Hussein Obama, caring

If there’s one thing we know about Obama, it’s that he cares.

If there’s one thing we know about our Dear Reader, Barack Hussein Obama (Praise be his name), it’s that he cares about people, especially the little people, that 47% that that rich, selfish Mitt Romney dissed during that infamous appearance in front of a group of equally selfish, greedy, uncaring rich people. Everybody knows that if caring about the “middle class” were people, Barack Obama would be China. If caring were measured in grains of sand, Barack Obama’s caring would be more than all the grains of sand on all the beaches of a thousand planet Earths. Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) can cry all he wants. He could even persuade the Oprah to interview him, and he could cry on live TV during the interview in which he declares that, like Sen. Mark Kirk, he now understands that all that matters is “who you love and who loves you back.” Still, even after that, soccer mommies, American Idol groupies and all other similarly situated low-information observers would know that Barack cares more about them than Speaker Boehner does or anyone else ever has or ever will.

How else to explain his latest incredibly caring and magnanimous evidence of his tremendous caring, offering to give back 5% of the salary that we subjects pay him to rule us? It’s hard to believe, but this preternatural creature earns only $400,000 a year for the tremendously difficult work that he does just for us. It would be a bargain at twice that annual price to be led by one so brilliant, so wise, and, yes, so caring, and yet he’s going to give back!  Isn’t that what life is all about? What more can this man do for us? Once again, he is leading by example, Peasant.

Some naysaying bitter clingers, cynical as ever, have tried to sully Barack’s beautiful, selfless act by bringing up the following facts, which they foolishly believe will tarnish the public’s opinion of our beloved Dear Leader (Reader):

  • By giving back 5%, Barack Obama will be returning $20,000 to the Federal Treasury, or less than he spent flying Air Force One out to California for his most recent fundraiser. This amount won’t have any effect on his lifestyle because he lives in government housing, and he doesn’t pay for the gas in caravan of SUV’s that transport him and his family. Plus, he’s really rich. Sure, all that’s true, but he still cares about you, Peasant. Just because his lifestyle is not affected one iota by what you call a “symbolic and meaningless gimmick,” unlike this guy, Jeff Maryak, who has suffered a 27% pay cut as a result of the sequester, that doesn’t change how much it shows that he cares. Mr. Maryak, a Bronze Star winner has resorted to delivering pizzas at night after doing his 9-5, and he still can’t make ends meet, so he is seeking a military redeployment. I have no doubt, though, that Mr. Maryak felt so much better today when he learned of President Obama’s magnificent gesture.
  • Some point out that perhaps President Obama was not motivated to give back 5% of his pay by his love and caring for his people, but rather because of the drop in his approval rating, which may have resulted from the suspension of White House tours, something the little people and their children look forward to during their Spring Break vacations. When juxtaposed with the Obama family’s perpetual vacations, including the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous style “sun and ski” combo recently enjoyed by the Obama daughters, some suggest that he needed to do something to remind the downtrodden how much he cares about them, more than he cares about anything else on this earth. Now he has. I hope that everyone is satisfied and can now move on. Oh yes, some people like those whiners over at Judicial Watch, who are going to insist on finding out how much the Obama princesses recent trip cost taxpayers, won’t, but the rest of us should feel our hearts swell just thinking about how much our wise ruler cares.
  • Finally, some have actually pointed out that Barack Obama did this to be “in solidarity” with “government workers,” and have suggested that this language sounds like something out of the old Soviet Union’s lexicon. They also note that, while he never fails to show concern for government employees who lose their jobs, always citing the horror of even one public school teacher being laid off, for example, he seems completely unconcerned about the jaw-dropping increase in the number of people in private sector who have become so discouraged in the Obama economy that they have completely stopped looking for work. These people have completely checked out, and like ghost workers they haunt our economy. The labor participation rate in 2008 was over 66 million, and it has dropped every year of Barack Obama’s presidency. Now it stands at 63.5 percent. It’s wrong to criticize Barack Obama for not mentioning people displaced from the private sector. He cares about these lost workers, too. We know he does because that’s one thing everybody knows about Barack Obama. That he cares. More than anyone.

“That Didn’t Take Long” File: Left’s “47% Video” Hero is a Tax Evader Who Drives Without Insurance, and Likes to File Lawsuits

No, not the hillbilly mutant grandson of the King of the Useful Idiots, James Earl Carter the Fourth, who found the video on YouTube. I refer instead to the person who actually who was responsible for capturing the infamous “47%” video of Mitt Romney with a hidden camera. Last week when MS-NBC’s bloated blowhard Ed Schulz was promoting his big interview “get,” with this guy, I knew it would only be a matter of time before details emerged about the Left’s latest working-class hero, and as usual, it wouldn’t be pretty. Not pretty, but Prouty, as in Scott Prouty, the hardworking bartender who was so disgusted by Mitt Romney’s horribly offensive (and largely true) remarks that he just had to do the old “caught on tape” thing on that evil rich, dog-hating, cancer-causing former Massachusetts governor.

When I saw Mr. Prouty claim on the interview that he is a “registered independent” who tends to vote Democrat, I knew that he was lying. The Washington Post confirms my suspicions:

Yet voter-registration records show that Prouty registered as a Democrat in 2002, and election officials said he has maintained that party affiliation. His former Twitter account is full of populist and political messages, including several criticizing Romney or former GOP vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan and another blasting National Rifle Association chief executive Wayne LaPierre as “an evil man.” Prouty attended Obama’s second inauguration and also told MSNBC’s Ed Schultz he was “proud to call him my president.

Also in the same WaPo story:

Court records show that that Internal Revenue Service in 2006 secured a more than $15,000 federal tax lien against Prouty for unpaid taxes from 2000 and 2002. It was unclear whether Prouty has repaid the money.

The records also show that an insurance company obtained a more than $5,700 default judgment against Prouty and a woman named Susan Dibella in 2009 in Broward County, Fla., court. Attorneys in the case did not return telephone calls, and a telephone number listed for Dibella had been disconnected.

In another bout with the court system, Prouty in 2011 filed a sexual-harassment lawsuit against Gulfstream Park Racing Association, which runs a number of horse-racing casinos in South Florida. According to the lawsuit, Prouty worked at a Gulfstream facility for 31 / years as a bartender but was passed over for promotions in favor of female employees who were “having sexual relations with management.”

Last week on Twitter, Prouty said he had paid all of his taxes. Do you believe him?

Now that the porcine Mr. Schulz has failed up to a Saturday afternoon show, it’s only a matter of time until Mr. Prouty gets his own show on the 24/7 nuthouse. Better yet, why not add him to the cast of “The View,” replacing Joy Behar? To replace bleach blond blowup doll/faux conservative, I nominate Meghan McCain.

Silent America and its President

I’m not one that can stomach much more of this speechifying, but remember this?

Al Qaeda is on the run… right, right, right…

(0:23)

During the third and final presidential debate, which focused on foreign policy, Romney slipped in an aside about Mali that attracted some derision on Twitter at the time, but now looks wise in retrospect.

With the Arab Spring, came a great deal of hope that there would be a change towards more moderation, and opportunity for greater participation on the part of women in public life, and in economic life in the Middle East. But instead, we’ve seen in nation after nation, a number of disturbing events. Of course we see in Syria, 30,000 civilians having been killed by the military there. We see in — in Libya, an attack apparently by, I think we know now, by terrorists of some kind against — against our people there, four people dead.

Our hearts and — and minds go out to them. Mali has been taken over, the northern part of Mali by Al Qaeda type individuals.

Mitt Romney knew about the danger in Mali by the third debate. Obama must have as well. After the debacle in Libya, one would think the Commanders in Extremis Force would have moved closer to Northern Mali. There was even enough time to deploy one of the 14 carrier battle groups.

Instead, this White House has chosen to lead from behind the French, for Goodness sake. All we get is silence. Silence on Benghazi, silence on Mali, silence on the use of chemical weapons in Syria.

It’s almost like we lost The War on Terror and nobody told us. I can’t think of a thing the enemy would have demanded upon our surrender that we haven’t already given them. And now we have a president that refuses to protect Americans. It’s unprecedented.

I am reminded of Bill Whittle’s speech some time ago:

That is what a president would sound like.

TOTUS is so busy bashing the NRA- there is no time to discuss protection of Americans.

Susan “Obama Mouthpiece” Rice’s Willful Ignorance: Show Notes, 11/18/12

David “Howdy Doody” Gregory shocked that anyone might think that the Obama regime might withhold information or even lie to burnish its national security credentials. Sen. Lindsay Graham takes it to him, and to the One.

Barack and Michelle celebrate the demise of the Twinkie.

Rep. Peter King (R-NY) refers to Petraeus affair by saying “mistakes were made.” Is it because he’s a man that he considers it a “mistake” when people can’t keep their pants on?

Sen. Carl Levin (D-Michigan) replies “that’s not the issue.” He also says that Petraeus never allowed the release of classified or sensitive national security information. Really?

Mitt Romney was not wrong about the democrat party and its appeal to the takers, but his response was LAME. He should talk to a man who should be a GOP rising star is born on Meet the Press, Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID), who echoes me by noting that Mitt Romney tried speaking conservatism as a second language.

Benghazi Rice-a-Roni: Will the GOP Have The Spine to Expose the Coverup? Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

Democrats, both elected and unelected, the latter sometimes called “journalists,” are spinning a modern day version of the fairy tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Unfortunately, unlike the cautionary children’s story, in this case, 4 Americans were murdered, and our “leaders,” and I use the word “leader,” loosely, are trying to convince adults with functioning eyes and brains that the obvious did not happen; specifically, that the White House did not deliberately send out its politically compliant U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice out to lie to the American public from a posture of willful ignorance. Will the GOP have the spine to expose this coverup or will Barack Obama roll them again?

In what is a perfect metaphor for the destruction of the America we grew up in, Hostess Brands announces its liquidation, thanks to the demands of union thugs. Bye bye 18,000 jobs. Whose side do you think Obama was on? Not only is his repellant wife no doubt delighted by the demise of Hostess, so is he, since these laid off workers are natural members of one of his voting contingencies.

Mitt Romney’s post-election comments have the Left apoplectic. Their reaction is over the top, but they are right that his remarks were LAME. If Bobby Jindahl doesn’t want to be part of the “stupid party,” why doesn’t he try offering a principled conservative rebuttal?

Tune in today for the rest of the story.

Mitt Was Half-Right About Last Week’s Loss, But Still Clueless

The denizens of the 24/7 nuthouse, which I watch so you don’t have to, MS-NBC, and other fellow travelers in the Lame Stream Media, are feigning outrage over Mitt Romney’s recent post-election statements, in which he blamed his campaign’s failure to rescue our country from the clutches of the Chicago Mafia on the “gifts” the One has bestowed on his supporters. As I told you here, there certainly were answers to Obama’s argument “Vote for me! I’m giving you free stuff!” Mitt failed to make them because he is not a conservative. Unlike Ronald Reagan, who spent decades reading, writing, analyzing and honing his conservative message, a message he understood in his bones, Mitt tried to speak conservatism as a second language, which is why the obvious answers weren’t there, and why he is left throwing up his hands saying “what am I supposed to do? I can’t compete with free stuff!” Wrong, but you need to articulate a clear message about free people, free markets, and prosperity, and why government dependency starts out as a cozy, comfy little hideaway from cold, cruel reality, and ends up being an inescapable prison.

So, there is no-brainer answer to the Obama stash appeal, which the Romney campaign failed to deliver, even though Mitt himself admitted that “tax the makers to give to the takers” has been the democrats’ playbook for at least 75 years. That failure is only half the problem, though.

As former Senator Phil Graham famously stated, when you rob Peter to pay Paul, you are guaranteed the vote of Paul. That’s the Cook County vision that Barack Obama has for the whole country. In addition to not understanding the need to respond to the “free stuff” appeal with the alternative, freedom and prosperity, by explaining it to Paul, Romney missed the need to appeal to Peter. When Mitt says that the takers were incentivized to turn out, he is correct. What about the makers? What about the 3 million voters that turned out for John McCain, but not for Mitt Romney? Could it be that the Romney campaign didn’t make it clear to them what was at stake, which is basically America as we know it? Paul was ready to show up, and did. Peter didn’t think it made any difference because those responsible for making the case to him didn’t do it, so he stayed home.

Now the Left has gone into their feigned outrage mode, hoping to silence any discussion of the dirty little secret; that is, there ARE takers, and the democrats DO confiscate wealth and income from the productive to buy their votes. They want to make that subject off limits because if we talk about it, the people might actually learn the truth.

Mitt’s Lame Explanation for Last Week’s Lost

OK, I’m sorry, but this explanation for last week’s failure to rescue our great nation from the clutches of Barack Hussein Obama and his Marxist cabal is just LAME. From Liberal Death Star (for you newbies, the New York Times):

Saying that he and his team still felt “troubled” by his loss to President Obama, Mitt Romney on Wednesday attributed his defeat in part to what he called big policy “gifts” that the president had bestowed on loyal Democratic constituencies, including young voters, African-Americans and Hispanics.

In a conference call with fund-raisers and donors to his campaign, Mr. Romney said Wednesday afternoon that the president had followed the “old playbook” of using targeted initiatives to woo specific interest groups — “especially the African-American community, the Hispanic community and young people.”

He went on to contrast Team Obama’s identity politics strategy with his own campaign of big issues, affecting the whole country. He gave various examples of the goodies from his stash that Barry gave to each group. For example,

The president’s health care plan, he said, was also a useful tool in mobilizing black and Hispanic voters. Though Mr. Romney won the white vote with 59 percent, according to exit polls, minorities coalesced around the president in overwhelming numbers: 93 percent of blacks and 71 percent of Hispanics.

“You can imagine for somebody making $25,000 or $30,000 or $35,000 a year, being told you’re now going to get free health care, particularly if you don’t have it, getting free health care worth, what, $10,000 per family, in perpetuity — I mean, this is huge,” Mr. Romney said. “Likewise with Hispanic voters, free health care was a big plus. But in addition with regards to Hispanic voters, the amnesty for children of illegals, the so-called Dream Act kids, was a huge plus for that voting group.”

Huge? Let me help you out, Mitt. How about saying something like “you’re being told that you’re going to get ‘free’ health care, but what good is an insurance card if you can’t a doctor who will accept your government coverage? Have you seen what’s happening in the President’s home state, Illinois? The Affordable Care Act cuts $700 billion from Medicare, and creates a board of 15 bureaucrats who are there to “reduce costs,” which means denying care to seniors. Experience in European countries shows what happens when the government takes over health care. The rich will be just fine. They’ll always be able to find a doctor willing to take care of them. If you’re not rich, you’ll get a pain pill if you’re lucky before you’re sent down the hospice chute.” I know you don’t see Mitt saying anything like that, but my point is that it is PATHETIC to hear him act as if there are not obvious rebuttals to the idea that Obamacare is a “huge” benefit. Are you kidding me?! The failure to respond to the Obama campaigns claims (lies) about the health care law is just one example.

This explanation is especially pitiful when you consider that Mitt himself admits that these bribe-laced appeals to identity groups are the democrats’ “old playbook.” Duh! This bunch has been feasting on the rotting corpse of Karl Marx for 70 or 80 years, and payoffs to cronies and mascots is a time-honored Chicago tradition. So, even though a six year old could see their battle plan coming, the Romney campaign did NOTHING to combat it? Repeating–ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Last week’s election calls to mind two pearls of wisdom from that great philosopher, Woody Allen: (1) “80% of success is showing up.” Their voters did. Ours didn’t. (2) Harvard makes mistakes.

Sorry Leftists: There is No Mandate. Show Notes: The Teri O’Brien Show, 11/11/12

Thanks again to all our veterans and members of the military, past and present, and their families for their courage, sacrifice and patriotism.

Despite the chorus of leftist Obama kneepad clutchers, like the occupants of the 24/7 nuthouse at MS-NBC, and commie rag The Nation, gleefully proclaiming that last week’s election provided Barack Obama with a “mandate” for his “progressive” agenda, the truth is that a switch of a few hundred thousand votes would have produced a different result. Please don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to sugar coat what was a shellacking, nor am I trying to deny the masterful success of the Obama campaign. As we heard on the show, they understood the game and they played it fabulously. They got the opponent they wanted, and as he was bloodied during a primary, they built their “firewall” in Florida, Virginia and Ohio, then spent the spring and summer using character assassination to disqualify Mitt Romney as a cruel, greedy, plutocrat, a cross between Marie Antoinette and Gordon Geckko, only with less empathy for the “middle class.” Meanwhile, the Romney campaign not only failed to combat this caricature, but also failed to articulate a clear, compelling vision for the future of the country. That’s understandable because, as noted here, Mitt Romney is not and never has been a conservative. He could try to speak like Ronald Reagan, but unlike Reagan, he was speaking conservatism as a second language. Reagan wouldn’t have allowed Obama to get away with mouthing platitudes about the “middle class” without explaining that in Barack Obama’s vision of America as Cook County writ large, there is no middle class.  He would have gone on offense on Benghazi and on the horrific impact that Obamacare will have on our health care system. The combination of the unprecedented negativity and identity politics on steroids approach of the Obama campaign, coupled with the Romney campaign’s failure to provide an exciting alternative to voters and its inadequate “get out the vote” effort, led to a disaster for this country and for the world. That’s why he lost, NOT because of “demographics” as the geniuses on television, broadcasting from their East Coast bubble are trying to tell you. The ignorant, and agenda-driven bleating about “demographics” is leading to the inevitable demands for amnesty for 11 million illegals.

In an amazing coincidence, David Petraeus resigns after the election and only a few days before Congressional hearings on the 9/11 attack in Benghazi. Does he have a Martha Stewart problem? Is there anyone, other than the low-information children who voted for Obama, who probably think Benghazi is one of the designers that Moochelle is considering  to design her gown for the inauguration, who believes that the White House found out about this affair at 5 pm on Election Day? Seriously? Why is this affair an issue? Wasn’t it just a week or so ago that we were being told that Bill Clinton, the only elected president in the history of the U.S. ever to be impeached, and impeached for lying under oath, was the go-to guy for truth? When Bill Clinton was diddling an intern in the Oval Office, the democrats, and by that I mean elected officials and the LSM, told us that it had nothing to do with his job performance. How to Help

Why We Lost: In a Word, Timidity

I was right about one thing. It was over by 11 p.m. Central. Unfortunately, I was wrong about Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and Colorado. I was really, really wrong, and I was very surprised. It was more 2004 than 1980. Like you, I am disappointed, however, I am not one to dwell on disappointments. After all, life is full of disappointments, and given that the human mind can focus on only on thing at a time, if we ruminate about events that have happened, and that we have no power to change, we waste time and mental energy that we could use to do something constructive. What is constructive in the face of bad outcomes is to learn from them. So what have we learned? Why did Mitt Romney lose? In a word, timidity.

Mitt Romney is not, and never was, a conservative. Be honest. We all knew that. That’s why he wasn’t our first choice during the primaries. Up until that first debate, our support was anti-Obama, not pro-Romney. We all figured he was a much better choice than the current occupant of the Oval Office, and that once he was ensconced in office, we’d ride herd on him to make sure that he wouldn’t backslide into “moderation.” Mitt tried to play the role, but we should have known when he told that CPAC audience that he was a “severely conservative” governor, that, for him,  conservatism was a second language. No true believer would have ever said that. Mitt Romney is a pragmatic, businessman, a problem solver, but not an ideological conservative. He is that dreaded “Massachusetts moderate” that we feared. He had a genuine conservative on the team, Paul Ryan, but the Romney campaign muzzled him because they feared opening a can of worms on the issue of Medicare.

I think that their lack of ideological commitment is one reason that the Romney campaign allowed the demagogic attacks about Bain Capital over the summer to go on. Mitt underestimated the effectiveness of the class-envy card because he doesn’t understand the Left the way authentic conservatives do. It’s also why they didn’t paint a picture for the voters. The average voter, and not just the typical Obama low-information type, doesn’t understand what Bain Capital does, and how what it does creates jobs. It was incumbent on Gov. Romney to explain that. He didn’t.

Perhaps we can trace the loss to that third debate. Remember how we all were waiting for Mitt to take it to the One on his Benghazi coverup? It never happened. Why? I believe because he feared the inevitable bleating from the Lame Stream Media, accusing him of “politicizing” the murders that Obama’s failed policies caused. It’s easy to blame the Jurassic media. Yes, CBS facilitated the coverup by withholding part of the interview that Barack Obama did the day after the attack on the consulate, and yes, Candy Crowley gave her guy cover behind her ample skirts in the second debate, but those things were to be expected. Like those hard-working illegal aliens that many moderate Republicans want to give amnesty, it’s up to the GOP to do the work that the LSM won’t do; specifically, to make sure the people have the truth. His failure to do so on Libya, no doubt fearing antagonizing those precious “independents” and “suburban women” was fatal.

In his concession speech early this morning, Mitt said he put it all on the field. I’m sure he believes that, but in retrospect, it’s clear that that isn’t true. When Republicans are timid, they lose every time. When they articulate a clear conservative vision, they win. Ted Cruz won. Michele Bachman won. It can be done, but you can’t steal home with one foot on third base. Better to lose being bold than to lose with a craven campaign, walking on eggs and hoping people will figure out the reason they should vote for you.

I hope that we’ve learned once and for all that we shouldn’t nominate any more moderates, especially those from Massachusetts. Timidity is a non-starter, and always will be, in politics and in life in general.

More taxes, more debt, means more of the same. So it’s a sad day for our country, and a great day for Putin, the Iranians, those who want something from Obama’s stash, and fans of big government, but it is only one day.  Still, as we always have, we will persevere.
