Know When to Hold(er) ‘Em: Zimmerman Case Gives Obama Another Crisis Not to Waste

Cross-posted at Clash Daily

I think we all realize that Eric Holder is obsessed with race. It’s not like he’s tried to hide it. Right out of the blocks, in 2009, he castigated Americans as “race cowards” who don’t want to discuss the subject, which to many of us sounded roughly equivalent to accusing Rush Limbaugh of not talking enough about liberalism. Seriously? It seems to many of us that we haven’t talked about anything else for the last 40 years. Since the election of our “historic” white “African-American” president, an event which was supposed to unite us, racial division has ramped up exponentially.

What many people don’t realize that Eric Holder not only plays the race card. He actually carries the race card. Seriously, if Alec Baldwin, interestingly a gay basher like Trayvon Martin, were to magically appear and ask him “What’s in your wallet?” in addition to credit cards, driver’s license and the usual stuff, the Attorney General could reply that at all times he carries a card that reminds him of the most important thing in human existence, something that must never be far from his thoughts; that is, the need for payback from racist Amerika. As J. Christian Adams, the whistleblower who exposed the racism that animates Eric Holder’s “Justice” Department, wrote in his book Injustice:

For much of his life, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. carried around something peculiar. While most people keep cash, family photos, and credit cards in their wallets, Holder revealed to a reporter in 1996 that he keeps with him an old clipping of a quote from Harlem preacher Reverend Samuel D. Proctor. Holder put the clipping in his wallet in 1971, when he was studying history at Columbia University, and kept it in wallet after wallet over the ensuing decades. …

What did this quote say to make it so essential to Mr. Holder?

“Blackness is another issue entirely apart from class in America. No matter how affluent, educated and mobile [a black person] becomes, his race defines him more particularly than anything else. Black people have a common cause that requires attending to, and this cause does not allow for the rigid class separation that is the luxury of American whites. There is a sense in which every black man is as far from liberation as the weakest one if his weakness is attributable to racial injustice.”

When asked to explain the passage, Holder replied, “It really says that … I am not the tall U.S. attorney, I am not the thin United States attorney. I am the black United States attorney. And he was saying that no matter how successful you are, there’s a common cause that bonds the black United States attorney with the black criminal or the black doctor with the black homeless person.”

Now that you know about Eric Holder’s own personal race card, are you starting to think that perhaps “justice,” at least that Dr. Martin Luther King “content of character” not color of skin, is not his Number One priority? The fact that his department decided to assist the race industry in demanding the prosecution (persecution) of George Zimmerman was also a tip off. Ditto the decision to drop the case against club-wielding New Black Panthers. In fact, as the quote eloquently reveals, it is precisely the opposite. The most important thing to Mr. Holder about any person is in fact his skin color.

That question prompts me to ask another question, one that’s probably also occurred to you as well, that in the wake of Zimmerman jury’s correct verdict, it’s important to ask. Is it possible to find a dime’s worth of difference between despicable race hustler Al Sharpton and the Attorney General of the United States, both of whom advise the President of the United States? The very discouraging answer is an obvious “no.”

Barack Obama, expert poseur that he is, has claimed to be completely hands off in the Zimmerman matter, as his henchman and ideological twin Mr. Holder faithfully carries out his two-part agenda, whipping up racist hysteria by pretending to be considering bringing a federal cast against the beleaguered former neighborhood watch captain, and demagoguing the issue of Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, even though the Zimmerman case did not involve that statute, to promote their gun control wish list. Never let a crisis go to waste.

Those of us who thought that the Obama administration hit a new low by using the IRS to target American citizens now watch them disgracefully use another federal agency, and not just any agency, but of all that they could choose, the Department of Justice, to punish its enemies: the jury system, the 2nd amendment, the rule of law and a man who was put through nearly two years of hell to appease the screeching of the race industry.

Meanwhile, as Eric Holder and Al Sharpton demand “justice for Trayvon,” they remain silent on the four children gunned down in Barack Obama’s hometown, Chicago, during the 20 days of the Zimmerman trial. One example, as the Daily Caller reported

On June 28, five-year-old Sterling Sims was killed in a double murder that also claimed the life of his mother, 31-year-old Chavonne Brown. Both were shot in their apartment, and police believe the motive was robbery. More on the murder spree in Chicago here, in the Chicago Sun-Times Homicide Watch.

Sterling Sims and Chavonne Brown were both black, a fact that matters less to me than it should to the man whose race “defines” him, Eric Holder.

PA Judge States Obvious, Left Squeals Like Stuck Pigs

Yesterday’s ruling by a Pennsylvania court upholding the state’s voter ID law has resulted in the predictable wailing and gnashing of teeth by the usual leftists, outraged by the fact that dogs, dead people, and even dead dogs might be denied the right to vote for Barack Obama and other democrats. He wrote:

In Pennsylvania, the voter ID requirement is a “reasonable, non-discriminatory, non-severe burden when viewed in the broader context of the widespread use of photo ID in daily life,” Simpson wrote in his opinion. “The Commonwealth’s asserted interest in protecting public confidence in elections is a relevant and legitimate state interest sufficiently weighty to justify the burden.”

Duh. But what is common sense to nearly everyone in the country, is obviously some sinister plot to deny their mascot groups the right to vote. They deny the existence of vote fraud, and whine about “voter suppression,” a heinous activity that, of course, does not include cudgel-weilding thugs in paramilitary garb outside a Philadelphia polling place. Their friends in the White House, including the ridiculous racialist Attorney General, agree.

I ask those who howl about the voter ID laws to consider the election of the clownish senator from Minnesota, one Al Franken. Recall that Mr. Franken won by 312 votes. As Byron York, making reference to the new book, “Who’s Counting?”, by conservative journalist John Fund and former Bush Justice Department official Hans von Spakovsky. writes in the Washington Examiner:

In the ’08 campaign, Republican Sen. Norm Coleman was running for re-election against Democrat Al Franken. It was impossibly close; on the morning after the election, after 2.9 million people had voted, Coleman led Franken by 725 votes.

Franken and his Democratic allies dispatched an army of lawyers to challenge the results. After the first canvass, Coleman’s lead was down to 206 votes. That was followed by months of wrangling and litigation. In the end, Franken was declared the winner by 312 votes. He was sworn into office in July 2009, eight months after the election.

During the controversy a conservative group called Minnesota Majority began to look into claims of voter fraud. Comparing criminal records with voting rolls, the group identified 1,099 felons — all ineligible to vote — who had voted in the Franken-Coleman race.

Fast forward to March, 2010, when Sen. Franken provided an essential vote to pass Obamacare.

A suggestion for all my do-gooder lib friends, so obsessed with making sure that their supporters (welfare recipients, illegal aliens, felons, and the similarly-situated) are permitted to vote: rather than spending so much time and money trying to fight common sense laws that protect the integrity of the ballot, why not focus your energies on helping your voters get the required ID? I’ll leave it to you to provide the answer in the comments below.

Corruption, Crony Capitalism and Obama’s Crypto-Communism: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

Today we focus on corruption, crony capitalism and the redistributionist policies of Obama and his merry band of Marxists. Since the Jurassic media shows no interest in investigating and reporting on the lawlessness of the Obama administration, we’re fortunate to have the tireless fighters of government corruption and secrecy,  at Judicial Watch, who are always at the tip of the spear in the fight. Christopher Farrell, Judicial Watch’s Director of Research and Investigation, will join us to tell us the latest about their terrific work, including the New Black Panther Party case. Why would Eric Holder’s Justice Department dismiss a slam dunk voter intimidation case against these racist thugs? Are the denials about the involvement of higher-ups in the decision true? In addition, we’ll ask Mr. Farrell about Judicial Watch’s exposure of your tax dollars being funneled into the coffers of another racist bunch of “community organizers,” La Raza. What does Obama crony Cecilia Muños have to do with throwing money down that rathole? Incidentally, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch has written a new fabulous book, The Corruption Chronicles: Obama’s Big Secrecy, Big Corruption and Big Government, which you should definitely check out.

Meanwhile, a senior citizen, who appears to be certifiably insane and who may or may not be the Senate Majority Leader, takes to the Senate floor to share fairy tales about his imaginary friends and their gossip about Mitt Romney’s tax returns. Could they be rationing psych meds already? I didn’t think Obamacare fully kicked in until 2014! Or perhaps there’s another explanation. This geezer and his friends Mr. Axelrod and Mr. Plouffe have realized that, for all the advantages they saw in him as an opponent (Bain Capital, his dog, his wife’s horse), Mr. Romney’s candidacy also presents an inconvenient and perhaps insurmountable obstacle to their re-election plans: he’s not divorced. That fact renders the only play in their book, “Smear the Opponent” worthless, unless they can find another way to run it. It’s that reality that is inspiring the old man to further embarrass himself.

While many thought it, entrepreneur Ray Gaster said it, on the sign outside his Savannah, Georgia lumberyard. He’ll join us to tell us why he thought this public rebuke was the right response to Barack Obama’s infamous “you didn’t build that” remark, and why he thinks it is appropriate to use such colorful “Chicago style” language when doing so.

Tune in today for the rest of the story.

Why Barack Obama Doesn’t Throw Holder Under the Bus

On Wednesday, when Obama asserted executive privilege to protect Eric Holder from having to answer questions about a dead Border agent’s blood on his hands as a result of a program that he said didn’t exist until he said it was something started by that evil George W. Bush, some people were scratching their heads asking why Barack Obama, who isn’t exactly setting records in the approval department, would insinuate himself into this mess. After all, until he took this action, his Lame Stream Media buds were able to pretend that Fast and Furious was just a “political witch hunt,” a baseless smear, and a trumped up political distraction. Then they grudgingly had to cover it, by which I mean mention it for ten seconds. Why not just throw Ferret Face under the bus? I’m sure there’s still a little room under there. There are several reasons the One has decided to stand behind his man. I present them in descending order of plausibility.

(1) Look at me! I’m not Jimmy Carter. I’m Harry Truman!

Since I watch so you don’t have to, I am the canary in the coal mine when it comes to detecting the latest leftist memes, and the mantras that they will soon be endlessly reciting in front of every available microphone. (You don’t expect these zombies to actually think, do you?) You might think the Obama administration’s decision to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Watergate break-in by stonewalling and trying to cover up wrongdoing with phony assertions of executive privilege might be considered a bad thing less than five months before a presidential election. Not so fast, my bitter-clinging friend! It’s actually a brilliant political move. That’s what I learned the last few days from watching on MS-NBC, where the consensus is that our Dear Reader, crafty genius that he is, wanted to pick a fight with Congress because they are so unpopular. He can hang them around Mitt Romney’s filthy rich, out of touch neck, and, presto, second term! Can you say “whistling in the graveyard?”

(2) Blood, I’ve Got Your Back

OK, so Theory 1 isn’t too convincing. What do you expect from something promulgated on a televised insane asylum? I’m not buying that reason. Here’s something that I think makes more sense. The first “African-American” president isn’t going to fire the first African-American Attorney General, particular one that shares his racialist point of view. There’s no doubt that Eric Holder would have been just as comfortable listening to Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s racist screeching as Michelle and Barack Obama were. He shares the risible position that he, the Obamas and all the other affirmative-action assisted elite are victims in racist Amerika, and Barack is no race traitor!

(3) The Real Reason. Think New Black Panther Party

Despite what you hear from Jurassic media shills, Barry’s re-election prospects are dim. I think he’s going to be beaten like a drum in November. Even if the boys at re-elect in Chicago don’t agree, they know that November’s election will be the second time in his political career that Barack Obama will actually face any opposition. They know what happened the first time. He lost to this guy.

This is the only real opposition Obama has ever had, and he beat him.

Eric Holder is the guy in charge of obstructing the efforts by states, especially so-called “swing” states, to purge their voter rolls of dead people, illegals, and dogs (and even dead dogs). On that afore-mentioned nuthouse, they endlessly state that vote fraud doesn’t exist. That would come as a surprise to Lee County (Florida) Supervisor of Elections Sharon Harrington, who has found 96 illegal voters on her county’s roles so far.

Curiously, half of the non-citizens illegally registered to vote in Florida come from a single county, and it’s not the one containing Miami.  It’s Lee County, which is on the opposite coast.  This isn’t necessarily because a disproportionately large population of illegal voters lives in the county; it’s because Lee County has been particularly diligent at rooting them out.  The task of cleaning up voter registrations was farmed out to each individual Florida county, which proceeds as it sees fit.

Lee County Supervisor of Elections Sharon Harrington has been particularly effective at spotting illegal voters, and it seems she did not entirely rely upon the state’s list of questionable names – prepared without access to the most up-to-date data from the Department of Homeland Security, which withheld its database from Florida, in violation of clear federal law.

According to the Naples Daily News, Harrington took the initiative and compared a list of the people who asked to be excused from jury duty, because they were not U.S. citizens, with the county voter rolls.  She found that “nearly half of those potential jurors who said they weren’t citizens were listed in her files as being eligible to vote.”  She has actually discovered some ineligible voters beyond the list of 2600 names prepared by the Florida Department of State.

Let me restate that, for the benefit of the anti-patriotic charlatans and political hacks who keep trying to protect the voter fraud racket in America, or lie through their teeth by portraying it as some kind of racist assault on minority voters.  This county supervisor merely took a list of dismissed jurors, who openly stated they were not citizens, in writing, under oath, and discovered half of them were also illegally registered to vote.

That’s exactly the sort of thing that Eric Holder is assigned to prevent, and that’s why Obama wants to keep him right where he is.

(4) Eric Holder Aside, He’s Hiding Something

I’m not buying that he’s using executive privilege to stall answering questions until after the election. What are they hiding? As I noted here, when we see how the liberals operate behind closed doors, the difference between their carefully-crafted, touchy-feely, smily faced images and the hideous, racist, vindictive, vicious, power-obsessed reality is stunning. Recall the memos uncovered about they planned to filibuster Pres. George W. Bush’s judicial nominees.

Now that B. Hussein has taken ownership of Fast and Furious, he probably couldn’t fire Holder even if wanted to. He doesn’t want to.

“Fairness” v. Freedom: Show Notes, The Teri O’Brien Show, 4/1/12

About 15 minutes into this episode of the program, we experienced a complete loss of internet connection. So that accounts for any dead air that you hear. We were back by the bottom of the first hour, and all was well thereafter. I really appreciate those of you who hung in there until we were back!

Brain-damaged Keith Olbermann fired AGAIN. Replaced by the 2nd least talented personality on television, Eliot “Client #9″ Spitzer. (Least talented? Chelsea Clinton, of course!)

Please visit the LLF website for tons of useful information on the legal challenge to Obamacare, Barack Obama’s eligibility to hold the office of president, immigration, and more!

Lame Stream Media dutifully recites Obama campaign talking point that Mitt Romney is filthy rich and “out of touch,” neglecting to mention that Barack and Michelle continue to live at a level of luxury unheard of in human history, in part on our dime. At least Mitt Romney is spending his own money, not ours, no?

GOP rising stars Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Tea Party favorite Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) endorse Mitt Romney. Rubio says a brokered convention would be a DISASTER for the GOP nominee. Is he right? Is he eligible to be Vice President?

On ABC’s “This Week,” Communist/former Obama “green czar” (there’s a really important function!) Van Jones says GOP should nominate Condi Rice for VP and watch Obama campaign go crazy, and Terry Moran tries to intimidate the Supreme Court by bringing up Bush v. Gore. He looks shocked when George Will tells him that no one cares about Bush v. Gore, and says that “we don’t know” Mitt Romney. Oh yeah, Terry, as opposed to Barack Obama, who is a complete open book, thanks to you and your vigilant colleagues terrific journalism to vet him in 2007 and 2008.

Our favorite April Fool, Joe “Gaffe Machine” Biden is at it again.

Will Obama Throw Eric Holder Under the Bus?

Unless you listen the the Teri O’Brien Show, or similar broadcasts dedicated to exposing the Left, you haven’t heard much, especially lately, about Operation Fast and Furious, Attorney General Eric Holder’s botched effort to create a gun-running crisis so that the Obama administration could ride to the rescue with more gun control laws. It’s been over a year since Border Agent Brian Terry was murdered by a Fast and Furious gun, and no government official has been held accountable, although Mr. Terry’s mother accurately referred to Holder as a “coward” and a “joke.” Eric Holder continues to stonewall requests for information from Cong. Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), using the ridiculous excuse that he is investigating himself. Too bad Richard Nixon never thought of that. He learned the hard way, and his experience resulted in a political truism: it’s not the crime, it’s the coverup. Over the weekend, The Hill reported that Tea Party members in Speaker John Boehner’s home district are putting the heat on him to force Holder’s hand.

Now even some democrats won’t speak up for the President’s man. From the Daily Caller:

Oklahoma Democratic Rep. Dan Boren won’t say if he supports Attorney General Eric Holder amid a surge in the number of House members who have demanded Holder’s resign over Operation Fast and Furious.

A spokesperson for Boren, a conservative Democrat who is a member of the Blue Dog Coalition, said the congressman had “no comment” on whether he still has confidence in Holder.

This is the first time a Democrat has openly refused to support Holder as 120 congressmen, three senators, two sitting governors and all major GOP presidential candidates demand his resignation.

Boren was one of 31 Democrats who signed a letter to President Barack Obama on June 3, 2011, asking him to direct the Justice Department and Holder to provide all information and documents related to Fast and Furious to congressional investigators.

Obama and Holder have apparently ignored the request from Boren and his colleagues, and are still withholding more than 70,000 pages of lawfully subpoenaed documents from House oversight committee chairman Darrell Issa and Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley. Holder has, however, provided the documents to the DOJ’s internal Office of the Inspector General.

The other 30 Democrats who signed that letter did not immediately respond to TheDC’s requests for comment.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi also didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment about whether she continues to have confidence in Holder. It’s unclear if she does.

Holder’s conduct in office, from claiming a law that he admitted never reading was unconstitutional, to refusing to enforce voting rights laws against black defendants (and saying that those who criticize his racist handling of the case are demeaning “his people“), to his statement that America is “a nation of cowards” on the issue of race, has been an embarrassing disaster, and he deserves to be, at a minimum, fired, and possibly prosecuted.

Given Holder’s record, and with Obama’s approval rating tanking, it’s tempting to think that he will soon send Eric packing to some cushy ambassadorship thousands of miles away, at least until after the election. I don’t think so. Don’t underestimate the degree to which Barack Hussein Obama is fiercely committed to those who share not only his radical leftist, but also his racialist, point of view, particularly Eric Holder. He won’t let the Man tell him to fire an equally “historic” public official, at least not unless he’s absolutely convinced that he will lose the election unless he does so. For now, I’m sure he’s hoping to keep Holder in place to fight the voter ID laws that are might stop some of their voting blocks (illegals, dead people, dogs) from voting.

Ironically, he may be correct about that race coward accusation, since but for Barack Obama’s ability to skillfully exploit white guilt, he would never have been elected.
