Show Notes, 10/28/12: Obama’s Vision for America with Dinesh D’Souza and Stanley Kurtz, Diminished in the World, Suburbs Destroyed

Please scroll down for links to all the stories we discussed on the show.

We were delighted to welcome two major A-List guests to the show. First, author, scholar and now movie producer Dinesh D’Souza joined us to discuss his terrific new book, and the movie that Obama and his minions didn’t want anyone to see, “2016,” now available on DVD, Netflix and everywhere. Don’t miss it! And for more in-depth coverage, check out the book Obama’s America.

Then we heard from our friend National Review’s Stanley Kurtz, who has been one of the few journalists to explore Obama’s radical background. His book Radical-in-Chief is a must-read. Now he has a new book, Spreading the Wealth, sounding the alarm about Obama’s plans to redistribute wealth unfairly held be people in the suburbs to his peeps in the inner city. We also talked about his National Review piece regarding what the disgusting Lena Dunham ad that I wrote about here.

A local reporter in Denver asks the One actual questions about actual issues. No, I don’t mean what songs are on his iPod, what super power he would like to have, or what Sasha and Malia have chosen for their Halloween costumes. This guy, Kyle Clark of Denver’s News 9, asked him whether the 4 Americans murdered in Benghazi were denied help, whether one of his campaign contributor’s “green energy” boondoggles was Colorado’s Solyndra, and, given concerns about the “tone” of the campaign, what he meant when he called Mitt Romney a “bulls*****r”. Once Sham WOW (Walks on Water) figured out that he was not in the middle of his usual interview, in which the “reporter” humps his leg for the entire time, he employed the technique he used when he used to hold press conferences. He went into filibuster mode to limit the number of questions he had to pretend to answer with long, predictable recitations of the threadbare slogans that thrill his wet-behind-the-ears swooning audiences, and Chris Matthews. As we heard on the show, the answers to the last two questions for each over two minutes long. One was nearly three minutes long! You can hear the questions, and the whole answers here, in this week’s third hour.

Newt Gingrich busts Lame Stream Media for incessantly repeating Obama talking points about Republican Senate candidates while failing to point out that Barack Obama is the real radical on the issue of abortion since he voted 3 times for infanticide while an Illinois State Senator.

Democrat Colorado governor inadvertently reveals just how obsessed the dems are with the issue of abortion.

On MTV, during an interview with DJ Sway Calloway, Barack Obama reveals that he doesn’t have the slightest clue what the capital gains tax is, and refers to something called “The Defense Against Marriage Act.”

Based on Barack Obama’s latest story on Benghazi, it appears that Leon Panetta is actually the Commander-in-Chief. Or is it Valerie Jarrett? I say it’s time to put her under oath.

Several of Obama’s fat stooges, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, Dick “Eddie Haskell” Durbin, and The Combover, sleazy Chicago political operative David Axelrod, appear on Sunday shows to try to clean up the mess created by the Obama administration’s Benghazi coverup, a coverup necessary because the murder of 4 Americans on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by al Qaeda destroys Obama’s fairy tale about his foreign policy prowess. Yes, bin Laden is dead, but sadly, so is J. Christopher Stevens, and with him, the One’s narrative about destroying al Qaeda. They are on the march, which makes Van Jones’ statement that Barack Obama is a “towering figure in foreign policy” beyond ridiculous.

Barack Obama, Victim of Another Racist Attack and a Beat Off: Show Notes, 6/17/12

Just in time for the 40th anniversary of the Watergate break-in, the return of the Imperial Presidency

Our Dear Reader very conscious of the fierce urgency of now and the fact that “we can’t wait” takes matters into his own hands on immigration. It’s not like he didn’t try to work within that antiquated system set up by a bunch of irrelevant dead white European men. He gave it a shot, but they didn’t pass the law he and Dick Durbin wanted, the DREAM act, so what is he supposed to do? Then, how is he rewarded for decisively doing what only he knows is best for us? By a rude racist rightwing reporter interrupting him, in the Rose Garden!

Some people wonder why Barack Obama didn’t keep his promise to enact “comprehensive immigration reform” (read amnesty for illegals, which this recent move isn’t because Barack Obama said so) during the first two years of his administration when his party controlled both houses of Congress. That’s a good question, but what are even these critics forgetting that exposes his stunning hypocrisy on this issue? We’ll connect those dots.

Obama’s “Watergate Moment” Is Everywhere

What Obamacare is REALLY about: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

The Supreme Court oral arguments over the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, which, in a dramatic reversal, even Obama now calls “Obamacare,” shined a spotlight on the battle hat will be joined in November, a battle for the soul of this nation; that is, are we a country that guarantees opportunity, but not results, for all?

The Obama campaign has been planning for at least a year to run against a caricature straight out of a Gilded Age cartoon, and now with Mitt Romney on the verge of clinching the nomination, they and their Lame Stream Media allies are ramping up the class envy rhetoric, hoping to stoke the voting enthusiasm of their most loyal constituency, the Takers, who believe they are entitled to some of what the Makers have produced. In large measure, that’s what the health care debate is about, a “remade” America in which the fruits of one person’s labor are taken through the coercive force of the federal government and given to another. Isn’t is a measure of how far we’ve come from the Founders’ vision that there could be even the slightest belief that this statute could pass constitutional muster? And what of the failure of Justice Kagan, who was the Solicitor General at the time the law was passed, to recuse herself from the case? We’ll ask our guest, Van Irion of the Liberty Legal Foundation, these questions, and also get his take on what the Court will decide.

Sen. Marco Rubio came out last week and endorsed Mitt Romney, albeit in a rather tepid, almost resigned “Oh, all right, I guess it’s going to be him” statement. Is he correct that a brokered convention helps only one guy, Barack Obama? Why won’t Santorum acknowledge, as Newt Gingrich did earlier this week, that Mitt Romney will almost certainly be the nominee? Is he right? Is Marco Rubio the perfect running mate for Mitt, and is he even eligible to run?

Join us Sunday for the rest of the story.

Why I Voted for Newt in Today’s Illinois Primary

Yesterday at Bradley University, a Mitt Romney showed up that we don’t see often enough. As you can see in today’s “Post of the Day,” this guy was not the one who genially refers to Barack Obama as a “nice guy” who is “in over his head.” When a heckler started sarcastically suggesting that if Mitt is really all about “freedom,” he’d give her free birth control, this Mitt was ready to open a can of whup ass on not only her, but also the One. This Mitt is a guy I could enthusiastically support, and more important, a guy who can beat Barack Obama like one of those drums those Occupy misfits like to haul around.

So that’s the question: can Mitt win? In response to that question, SL(Smart Listener) Ron wrote:

Yes I believe Mitt can win IF he doesn’t become too damaged by those in his own party! Defeating the incumbent won’t be an easy task when half the population are getting freebies & pay no tax. Couple this with the Dem’s expertise in vote fraud, it’s definitely an uphill battle.

It will be all the more tough if the campaign against Obama can’t begin in earnest until Sept.

Mitt has some quirks & shortcomings but none that would stop him from successfully undoing some of Obama’s follies & putting the country back on track…domestically & national defense. He’s an astute guy with good experience under his belt.

I see things a little differently. I think that this continuing primary battle makes it more likely that we see more of Mighty Mitt, the guy who will finally start to take it to Obama over the one issue that counts for all the marbles, which happens to be the Dear Reader’s signature “achievement,” the Orwellian titled “Affordable Care Act,” and less of Milquetoast Mitt, the mushy, Massachusetts moderate.

As Bill Kristol points out in this piece, “It’s the Obamacare, Stupid,” the American people instinctively understand that unless we repeal this legislative monstrosity, the country we grew up in his history.
In Obama’s view, taking over health care and giving federal bureaucrats the power of life and death over every American (and lots of illegals) was an essential predicate to “remaking” this unfair, racist nation. If Mitt can demonstrate that he appreciates that fact, and that he’s willing to fight to stop it, he will win, and win big. If he doesn’t get it, and campaigns as if the election is about simple policy differences, he’ll be McCain 2.0.

So, I voted for Newt because he best articulates conservative principles, and having him in the race will not only keep those principles front and center, it will help keep Mitt on the straight and narrow.

Best Response of the Evening: Newt Busts LSM on Protecting Obama on Infanticide

This morning on CSPAN, feminist hag Eleanor Smeal denied that Barack Obama supported denying medical care to infants lucky enough to survive attempts to kill them. That was a lie. Please see today’s Post of the Day, Jill Stanek’s great Illinois Review post from 2008, Top Ten Reasons Barack Obama Voted Against The Illinois Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which I plan to leave up a little longer.

Tonight during the CNN AZ GOP debate, Newt called out the LSM on their failure to ask the One about his support for infanticide:

Newt Gingrich deflected a question about Obama’s recent decision mandating that employers’ insurance plans cover contraception by pointing out that Obama voted in favor of a law that protected abortion providers during his term as state senator of Illinois

“You did not once during the 2008 campaign ask why Barack Obama voted in favor of legalizing infanticide,” Gingrich said. “If we’re going to debate about who is the extremist on this issues, it is President Obama, who, as a state senator, voted to protect doctors who killed babies.”

I love the way the LSM characterizes Obama’s disgraceful record while an Illinois state senator. “[P]rotected abortion providers?” That’s one way to put it. It’s not what I would have said. I would have said that he voted against providing medical care to the most innocent and helpless people in society, knowing that they would be left to die alone, and possibly in pain, in a dirty closet.

A home run. Nicely played, Mr. Speaker.

Ultimate Irony: Will Obama be Disqualified from Running in 2012? Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

If we were to describe the Obama administration in one word, it would be difficult, but several options do spring to mind. “Stagnation,” certainly wold be on the list, when we think of our limping economy, which Barack Obama pledged to fix. Considering the frequent White House celebrity-studded soirèes, the lavish luxury vacations, Michelle’s full-time makeup artist and fly-ins for their personal trainer, “extravagance” is another word we could use, which brings us to something that probably comes a lot closer, “hypocrisy.”

All of these words are spot on, but there is one that captures the essence of this administration better than any other, and that word is “lawless.” Michele Bachman was completely accurate when she referred to “gangster government.” Consider the following:

  • The Solyndra scandal
  • His continuation of an offshore oil drilling moratorium, despite its being struck down by a U.S. District judge, an action that resulted in the administration being held in contempt of court
  • His “recess” appointments, deemed legal by one of his own administration’s lackeys in the White House counsel’s office, including the appointment of Richard Cordray, head of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This last one particularly offensive, since the very stature creating this position requires Senate confirmation

The latest example of this bunch thumbing its nose at the rule of law and the other brances of government, occurred this past Thursday, when Barack Obama defied Georgia administrative judge, the Honorable Michael Malihi’s order that he appear and produce documents to respond to a challenge to his eligibility to appear on the ballot. Today we are delighted to welcome back Van Irion, founder of the Liberty Legal Foundation, lead attorney in the case arguing the position that Barack Hussein Obama is not an Article II “natural born citizen.” Why did Obama fail to appear through his attorney? Is this just another example of his administration’s lawlessness or is there something else behind it? What’s the end game? If the judge enters a judgement against Obama, what will be the practical effect? And what about the political implications? Is this litigation a gift to the Obama campaign? Could this be the ultimate irony: a lawless administration disqualified from consideration in the upcoming election because of its very existence violates the law?

Tune in Sunday for the rest of the story.
