Michelle’s Latest Junket and The Politics of Black Skin Privilege:Today On The Teri O’Brien Show, 3-23-14

The Obamas, the most successful race hustlers in the history of this country, continue to play their skin game and exploit their black skin privilege, while the lap dog media continues to dangle shiny objects like the missing Malaysian aircraft, “March Madness,” andbootleg butt injections (and you thought it was just Michelle’s arms that people envied!) before the American people. The use of huge posteriors to distract us from Moochelle’s latest junket is not the only irony at play here. Yesterday, the First Klingon took a break from her opulent getaway to speak out in favor of free speech and religious freedom. Perhaps her husband’s regime, who has unleashed the IRS on his political opposition and is currently in court trying to force religious institutions into violating their beliefs, could consider applying those fine noble principles here in the United States. Is there also a bit of irony in the fact that Michelle, who, along with the rest of this phony bunch, portrays herself as a champion of the “little guy” has a mother who apparently is terrorizing the staff at their Chinese luxury hotel?

Anything to avoid discussing Barack Obama’s “signature achievement,” the slow-motion train wreck called “Obamacare,” which is 4 years old today.

Speaking of black skin privilege, who is Melowese Richardson, and what does her recent incarceration and release for illegal voting tell us about the 2012 election, and 2014?

As we watch Vladimir Putin on the march, in full Cold War mode, Prof. Paul Kengor, one of the leading authorities on the biography of Ronald Reagan, returns to our show, to discuss his latest books, The 11 Principles of a Reagan Conservative. How would Reagan have dealt with Vladimir Putin? What would he say to East Coast Brain Rot afflicted consultants who advise Republican candidates to avoid discussion of social issues? (Short answer: “you’re wrong.”)

Jimmy Carter whines that women are victims and Barack Obama keeps dissing him.

I Hate to Say We Told You So, But We Told You So. Obama Approval Plummets in Ohio

From CBS Cleveland:

A poll finds that President Barack Obama’s job approval ratings are skidding among voters in Ohio, the swing state he carried twice.

The poll released Wednesday by Quinnipiac University indicates that 57 percent of voters disapproved of the way Obama is doing things as president, his lowest grade ever in Ohio.
The poll finds 40 percent approve of Obama’s job performance, with independent voters moving away from the president.

Gee, what happened? And this poll was taken even before yesterday’s announcement of Obama’s “war on coal” (war on jobs, actually), which should only be a surprise to the low-information cohort because he told us his plans to bankrupt the coal industry before he was elected in 2008.

Of course, the Obama campaign knew that their secret to victory was to encourage that very group, the most uninformed people in the country, to go out and vote for someone without the slightest clue about his radical ideology or his plans. In Ohio, that translated into lots of campaign ads on daytime tv, on shows like “Judge Judy.” Nothing against the honorable tv jurist, but I think we can all agree that her audience would not be the first group we’d look to to find people who know a lot about politics or public policy. Let’s be honest. Most of these people couldn’t name their congressmen, or even 1 member of the Supreme Court, at gunpoint.

Now, we’re all stuck with the choice these ignoramuses made. They have buyer’s remorse. We have a country in the process of being destroyed. Thanks a lot!

State of the Union Preview, Part 1: Voting “Rights” and “Non-Existent” Vote Fraud

One of the guests that Michelle Antoinette invited to tonight’s State of the Union speech will be there as a mascot for those persecuted minorities that evil white people want to stop from voting, the targets of GOP efforts to prevent non-existence “vote fraud,” solutions in search of a problem. That’s what Chris Matthews and Rev. Al Sharpton say. I’m sure that they will get thrills up their legs reading about Desiline Victor. From Politico:

A determined Florida centenarian who had to make two trips and wait several hours to vote for President Barack Obama last fall will sit with first lady Michelle Obama during Tuesday’s State of the Union. Her resolve became a symbol of early voting obstacles in the presidential election.

Desiline Victor, 102, of Miami, endured a weather-delayed flight to Washington on Monday in order to get to town for Obama’s address. She will be among the guests seated with Mrs. Obama, an opportunity she called “a beautiful thing.”

Wow, how terrible! It’s too bad that she didn’t live in Ohio. She could have voted for her messiah twice, at least.

Sorry Leftists: There is No Mandate. Show Notes: The Teri O’Brien Show, 11/11/12

Thanks again to all our veterans and members of the military, past and present, and their families for their courage, sacrifice and patriotism.

Despite the chorus of leftist Obama kneepad clutchers, like the occupants of the 24/7 nuthouse at MS-NBC, and commie rag The Nation, gleefully proclaiming that last week’s election provided Barack Obama with a “mandate” for his “progressive” agenda, the truth is that a switch of a few hundred thousand votes would have produced a different result. Please don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to sugar coat what was a shellacking, nor am I trying to deny the masterful success of the Obama campaign. As we heard on the show, they understood the game and they played it fabulously. They got the opponent they wanted, and as he was bloodied during a primary, they built their “firewall” in Florida, Virginia and Ohio, then spent the spring and summer using character assassination to disqualify Mitt Romney as a cruel, greedy, plutocrat, a cross between Marie Antoinette and Gordon Geckko, only with less empathy for the “middle class.” Meanwhile, the Romney campaign not only failed to combat this caricature, but also failed to articulate a clear, compelling vision for the future of the country. That’s understandable because, as noted here, Mitt Romney is not and never has been a conservative. He could try to speak like Ronald Reagan, but unlike Reagan, he was speaking conservatism as a second language. Reagan wouldn’t have allowed Obama to get away with mouthing platitudes about the “middle class” without explaining that in Barack Obama’s vision of America as Cook County writ large, there is no middle class.  He would have gone on offense on Benghazi and on the horrific impact that Obamacare will have on our health care system. The combination of the unprecedented negativity and identity politics on steroids approach of the Obama campaign, coupled with the Romney campaign’s failure to provide an exciting alternative to voters and its inadequate “get out the vote” effort, led to a disaster for this country and for the world. That’s why he lost, NOT because of “demographics” as the geniuses on television, broadcasting from their East Coast bubble are trying to tell you. The ignorant, and agenda-driven bleating about “demographics” is leading to the inevitable demands for amnesty for 11 million illegals.

All GOP had to do was show up, especially in Ohio. They didn’t. (From our friends at Third Base Politics)

In an amazing coincidence, David Petraeus resigns after the election and only a few days before Congressional hearings on the 9/11 attack in Benghazi. Does he have a Martha Stewart problem? Is there anyone, other than the low-information children who voted for Obama, who probably think Benghazi is one of the designers that Moochelle is considering  to design her gown for the inauguration, who believes that the White House found out about this affair at 5 pm on Election Day? Seriously? Why is this affair an issue? Wasn’t it just a week or so ago that we were being told that Bill Clinton, the only elected president in the history of the U.S. ever to be impeached, and impeached for lying under oath, was the go-to guy for truth? When Bill Clinton was diddling an intern in the Oval Office, the democrats, and by that I mean elected officials and the LSM, told us that it had nothing to do with his job performance. Will Mrs. Petraeus reach out to Hillary? Who better to give her advice about a cheating husband?

How to Help

Why Mitt Lost, and Why He Didn’t: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

One surefire sign that a theory is wrong is when it is embraced by not only NBC’s F. Chuck Todd and, David “Howdy Doody” Gregory, but also Matthew “Useful Idiot” Dowd, and Steve “Chris Matthews’ Bitch” Schmidt, the latter one of the architects of John McCain’s campaign. As previously noted here, if you look up “craven” and “loser,” you’ll discover an amazing exception to Merriam Webster’s usual policy, because Steve Schmidt’s picture appears next to both entries! This herd of independent thinkers are marching in Stalinist lockstep, reciting their explanation for why Romney lost, and as usual, they couldn’t be more wrong if they were getting their news from MS-NBC.

There are ten reasons that Mitt lost. I’ll share them, and get yours.

The behavior of the GOP leadership in the wake of their shellacking tells me that it’s time to backup the truck. What say you?

What are the implications of Barack Obama’s victory for issues important to conservatives, especially the Second Amendment? Now that he is re-elected, is he prepared to try to impose U.N.-sanctioned back door gun control on Americans?

The resignation of David Petraeus raises many interesting questions. Of course, like you, I’m quite sure that his sudden resignation right before Congressional hearings about the coverup of the murders of 4 Americans on September 11 in Benghazi is just a coincidence. I’m also certain it’s just another amazing coincidence that the Obama White House found out about the extramarital affair that led to Petraeus’ exit on Tuesday, Election Day, at 5 p.m. Why would anyone in the administration lie? It must be true.

Tune in today for the rest of the story.

Why We Lost: In a Word, Timidity

I was right about one thing. It was over by 11 p.m. Central. Unfortunately, I was wrong about Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia and Colorado. I was really, really wrong, and I was very surprised. It was more 2004 than 1980. Like you, I am disappointed, however, I am not one to dwell on disappointments. After all, life is full of disappointments, and given that the human mind can focus on only on thing at a time, if we ruminate about events that have happened, and that we have no power to change, we waste time and mental energy that we could use to do something constructive. What is constructive in the face of bad outcomes is to learn from them. So what have we learned? Why did Mitt Romney lose? In a word, timidity.

Mitt Romney is not, and never was, a conservative. Be honest. We all knew that. That’s why he wasn’t our first choice during the primaries. Up until that first debate, our support was anti-Obama, not pro-Romney. We all figured he was a much better choice than the current occupant of the Oval Office, and that once he was ensconced in office, we’d ride herd on him to make sure that he wouldn’t backslide into “moderation.” Mitt tried to play the role, but we should have known when he told that CPAC audience that he was a “severely conservative” governor, that, for him,  conservatism was a second language. No true believer would have ever said that. Mitt Romney is a pragmatic, businessman, a problem solver, but not an ideological conservative. He is that dreaded “Massachusetts moderate” that we feared. He had a genuine conservative on the team, Paul Ryan, but the Romney campaign muzzled him because they feared opening a can of worms on the issue of Medicare.

I think that their lack of ideological commitment is one reason that the Romney campaign allowed the demagogic attacks about Bain Capital over the summer to go on. Mitt underestimated the effectiveness of the class-envy card because he doesn’t understand the Left the way authentic conservatives do. It’s also why they didn’t paint a picture for the voters. The average voter, and not just the typical Obama low-information type, doesn’t understand what Bain Capital does, and how what it does creates jobs. It was incumbent on Gov. Romney to explain that. He didn’t.

Perhaps we can trace the loss to that third debate. Remember how we all were waiting for Mitt to take it to the One on his Benghazi coverup? It never happened. Why? I believe because he feared the inevitable bleating from the Lame Stream Media, accusing him of “politicizing” the murders that Obama’s failed policies caused. It’s easy to blame the Jurassic media. Yes, CBS facilitated the coverup by withholding part of the interview that Barack Obama did the day after the attack on the consulate, and yes, Candy Crowley gave her guy cover behind her ample skirts in the second debate, but those things were to be expected. Like those hard-working illegal aliens that many moderate Republicans want to give amnesty, it’s up to the GOP to do the work that the LSM won’t do; specifically, to make sure the people have the truth. His failure to do so on Libya, no doubt fearing antagonizing those precious “independents” and “suburban women” was fatal.

In his concession speech early this morning, Mitt said he put it all on the field. I’m sure he believes that, but in retrospect, it’s clear that that isn’t true. When Republicans are timid, they lose every time. When they articulate a clear conservative vision, they win. Ted Cruz won. Michele Bachman won. It can be done, but you can’t steal home with one foot on third base. Better to lose being bold than to lose with a craven campaign, walking on eggs and hoping people will figure out the reason they should vote for you.

I hope that we’ve learned once and for all that we shouldn’t nominate any more moderates, especially those from Massachusetts. Timidity is a non-starter, and always will be, in politics and in life in general.

More taxes, more debt, means more of the same. So it’s a sad day for our country, and a great day for Putin, the Iranians, those who want something from Obama’s stash, and fans of big government, but it is only one day.  Still, as we always have, we will persevere.
