Fanning the Flames of Malignant Racism: Obama’s America

RaceCardrace-card01b

In the wake of last Saturday’s verdict in the Michael Dunn “loud music” trial, which we discussed extensively on last week’s edition of The Teri O’Brien Show with our guest Andrew Branca of lawofselfdefense.com, liberal media morons took the opportunity to recite their predictable, threadbare clichès about our need to have “a serious conversation about race” in this country. As I said on the show, it seems to me that we talk about little else, especially since the election of our first affirmative-action president, Barack Hussein Obama, a man who surfed into the U.S. Senate, and then the White House, on the mother of all waves of white guilt.

In the American Spectator, Ross Kaminsky describes that extremely destructive foolishness being spewed by frequently featured MS-NBC race-baiter, “African studies” (seriously) professor Marc Lemont Hill, CNN’s Don Lemon, and some guy in the Atlantic Monthly:

The effect and intent of the words of Lemon and Hill and Coates are to divide Americans along racial lines, to instill anger and mistrust and jealousy and bitterness. It helps their ratings; it helps them sell magazines; it helps them line up more speaking engagements. It makes them feel good about themselves — by making one part of society hate another part.

But their views are a national cancer which, perhaps surprisingly to some, is metastasizing more rapidly under our first black president than at any time in the nearly five decades I have been alive.

In fact, it should surprise no one. Barack Obama is not foremost a black president; he is a Progressive Alinskyite president who happens to be black, a follower of a man who preached division as a political tactic, and the employer of a man, Attorney General Eric Holder, who said (while in his previous job), “I am the black United States attorney…[T]here’s a common cause that bonds the black United States attorney with the black criminal….” As former DoJ attorney Christian Adams put it, that’s the real race card.

It is not surprising that President Obama inflamed the nation surrounding the Zimmerman case; indeed it is possible charges might never have been brought had he not said “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.” Somehow he didn’t say the same about Jordan Davis. Could it be because his insincerity would be obvious?

Or is it something else: that Obama isn’t running for re-election? Even George Zimmerman, a self-described former “huge supporter of President Obama,” in an interview with Univision on Sunday, said that Obama’s interference in his case was an “opportunity” to win more votes. (If you want to see a truly egregious example of media misconduct, watch Chris Cuomo’s interview of George Zimmerman which aired on CNN on Monday in which Cuomo asked Zimmerman how he felt about people who “liked that a young black had been killed.”)

But the politics of division remain this president’s first choice of political weapon. It is why when presented with a spreading national cancer of anti-white racism among leading blacks in the media (and some of their strangely-guilt-ridden white colleagues), Obama’s actions aim to speed and broaden the disease rather than to treat it.

Of course he’s trying to spread this evil racism. It’s the secret to his success. Expecting him to disavow racism and the myth of perpetual black victimhood would be like expecting Netflix to stop producing “House of Cards.” Playing the race card has worked out very well for him, Eric Holder, Moochelle and the whole lot.

It’s pathetic and disgusting, and not going to end any time soon.

How “Far” We’ve Come: From Rosa Parks to Oprah and From Emmett Till to Trayvon Martin

Later today, our Sham WOW (Walks on Water) current occupant of the Oval Office will continue his endless summer of surfing on the mother of all waves of white guilt to try to distract everyone from the retched economy and the disastrous consequences of his “lead from behind” policies in the Middle East, including an imminent military strike on Syria. Since I know that everyone agrees with Eric Holder. We don’t talk enough about race in this country, so let’s take the occasion of this anniversary to broach a subject that is almost never mentioned.

As I watch all the TV talking heads babbling on about the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “March on Washington,” something has been bothering me, but I couldn’t figure out exactly what that was, other than my usual irritation at the vapid commentary that these supposedly knowledgeable, pompous windbags pump out non-stop. Now I realize why these commemorations ring not only hollow, but are quite annoying.

It is because race baiters from Barack Obama and Eric Holder to Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and all the thousands of lower-tier practitioners of this despicable, destructive trade, pay lip service to Dr. King’s call to judge people by the content of their character, not  the color of their skin, when in fact what they really mean is that only white people need to heed that call because white people are apparently inherently and forever guilty of racism. There is no other explanation for what so many of these people say and do. Racism on the part of blacks must be ignored, or if noted, justified by some historical actions that happened decades or even centuries ago. Blacks vote for black candidates specifically because they are black, proudly so, and no one dares suggest that it’s racist for them to do so. If 96 percent of white people had voted for John McCain in 2008, we would still be hearing the Lame Stream Media “experts” squealing like scalded hogs about the disgrace that is “racist” Amerika. In fact, though 96% of black voters cast their ballots for Sen. Barack Obama and 43% of whites did so. Nothing to see here. Michelle Obama writes a semi-literate college thesis in which she proclaims

“Earlier in my college career, there was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the Black community I was somehow obligated to this community and would utilize all of my present and future resources to benefit this community first and foremost. My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my “Blackness” than ever before. I have found that at Princeton no matter how liberal and open-minded some of my White professors and classmates try to be toward me, I sometimes feel like a visitor on campus; as if I really don’t belong. Regardless of the circumstances under which I interact with Whites at Princeton, it often seems as if, to them, I will always be Black first and a student second. These experiences have made it apparent to me that the path I have chosen to follow by attending Princeton will likely lead to my further integration and/or assimilation into a White cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full participant. This realization has presently, made my goals to actively utilize my resources to benefit the Black community more desirable.”

Yeah, Mooch, I hear you. Affirmative action admission will do that to you, you know (as you would say), make you feel like a visitor. Clearly, if this thesis is the sort of work that you were capable of producing, you didn’t belong at an elite college. Leaving the sub-standard level of her writing and scholarship aside, to celebrate today’s big anniversary, let’s do a little thought experiment. What if Cindy McCain or Anne Romney had written a college thesis in which she “made my goals to actively utilize my resources to benefit the White community more desirable”? Exactly. Barack Obama attends a church led by a screeching racist that proudly touts its “Black Value System” for 20 years, and no one bats an eye. Try a similar thought experiment. Could any white person be elected to even a local office if it were learned that he attended a church that had a “White Value System?” And of course, we recently learned, that unlike all 43 presidents before him, Barack Obama is above criticism, because any criticism of anything he does, even the ridiculous antics of a rodeo clown, is inherently “racist.”

Recently, we have endured disgusting comparisons of the racist murder of Emmett Till in 1955 with the justifiable killing of drug using, burglar and would-be MMA fighter Trayvon Martin. The suggestion that there is moral equivalency between these two cases is breathtaking in its stupidity, and yet, allegedly intelligent people have been making it incessantly for the last several weeks, including the air-headed Oprah Winfrey. She is the walking embodiment of the greatness of America, a country in which a woman incapable of reasoning her way out of a paper bag can amass a fortune larger than the combined wealth of several nations.

In another recent cringe-inducing incident, the Oprah tried to portray herself as the new Rosa Parks because she was allegedly treated rudely in a fancy European boutique while trying to purchase a $38,000 purse. Who better to lecture us about racism in America?

So, today we will have the bizarre spectacle of people like the Oprah and Barack Obama, who but for their race would not be where they are, pretending to celebrate a speech that implored everyone to work for a color-blind society, which happens to be their worst nightmare.

Confuse, Distract and Obfuscate: Obama Administration Sends Jack Lew Out to Sunday Shows Do a Susan Rice

As we discussed on yesterday’s edition of The Teri O’Brien Show, Treasury Sec. Jack Lew appeared on several Sunday shows, which I watch so you don’t have to, and repeated two discredited talking points about the IRS targeting of American citizens. We aren’t sure if this outrageous abuse of the most feared federal agency is one of the “phony scandals” that Barack Obama has been bleating about for nearly a week, but it seems doubtful, since it’s only been two months since he vowed to “get to the bottom of it.” He even delegated responsibility for the task to Mr. Lew.

Yesterday, Mr. Lew resuscitated two debunked Obama talking points about the IRS scandal; specifically, (1) that the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups was conceived and carried out by a few “career people” and not directed from Washington, D.C. and (2) that the IRS was an equal opportunity targeter, in that they also went after “progressive” groups. Both of these fairy tales are false, as testimony before Rep. Darryl Issa’s (R-CA) House Oversight Committee, Rep. Dave Camp’s (R-MI) Ways and Means Committee and the audit from J. Russell George, the “TIGTA” (Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration), have proven.

If you heard the show, you heard Chris Wallace, as thunderstruck as any reasonable listener would be, ask Mr. Lew if he had ever asked IRS Chief Counsel William Wilkins, one of only two political appointees at the IRS, about the testimony of Carter Hull. Mr. Hull is an IRS attorney retiring after 48 years with the Service, and he testified that Obama appointee Mr. Wilkins, who represented Rev. Jeremiah Wright when he jeopardized his church’s tax-exempt status by inviting Sen. Barack Obama to give a political speech, was one of his supervisors who wanted to review some of the Tea Party applications. Remember, Barack Obama said he putting Mr. Lew in charge of making sure that someone was accountable for behavior that he himself considered unacceptable. And Mr. Lew doesn’t even ask Mr. Wilkins about Mr. Hull’s  bombshell testimony?

So why would Mr. Lew put on this lame performance? Clearly this a political calculation by this bunch. Everything they do is about consolidating and increasing their power with zero concern for doing what is beneficial for our country. Much like Susan Rice’s performance last year six weeks before the presidential election, designed to paper over the Obama administration’s incompetence and the subsequent cover up of the Benghazi debacle, this routine is designed to confuse people, especially the low-information types that are the primary consumers of Obama baloney.

We still don’t know what Lois Lerner is doing on her paid summer vacation. Does she have any government property while she’s at home? How long are we going to continue to pay her to stay at home? If she did “nothing wrong,” why did she take the 5th?

Perhaps this week we will learn which of the many Obama scandals are the “phony” ones. Benghazi, in which 4 Americans were murdered? “Fast and Furious,” in which at least one American agent, Brian Terry, was killed, and about which Eric “You Are a Race Coward” Holder continues to stonewall?

Stay tuned.

Smoking Gun in IRS Scandal? Obama Appointee Met with the One Two Days Before Targeting Started

Remember, as we discussed on last Sunday’s edition of The Teri O’Brien Show, by design, the Internal Revenue Service has only two political appointees, the Commissioner and the Chief Counsel. We also discussed the fact that last Thursday in Rep. Darryl Issa’s Oversight Committee, the current IRS Chief Counsel, William Wilkins, a long-time democrat operative who actually defended Reverend Wright’s Church when there were threatened with loss of their tax exempt status back in 2008, as been implicated in the scandal. With that in mind, read this item from the Daily Caller:

The Obama appointee implicated in congressional testimony in the IRS targeting scandal met with President Obama in the White House two days before offering his colleagues a new set of advice on how to scrutinize tea party and conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status.

IRS chief counsel William Wilkins, who was named in House Oversight testimony by retiring IRS agent Carter Hull as one of his supervisors in the improper targeting of conservative groups, met with Obama in the Roosevelt Room of the White House on April 23, 2012. Wilkins’ boss, then-IRS commissioner Douglas Shulman, visited the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on April 24, 2012, according to White House visitor logs.

On April 25, 2012, Wilkins’ office sent the exempt organizations determinations unit “additional comments on the draft guidance” for approving or denying tea party tax-exempt applications, according to the IRS inspector general’s report.

I know what you’re thinking, cynical, bitter clinger! Come on, now. It’s just a coincidence!

As Dick Morris notes, writing about Mr. Wilkins area of expertise, which just happens to be the IRS’ treatment of tax-exempt organizations:

The event that triggered the IRS’s interest? Then-presidential candidate Barack Obama’s speech to the congregation during the Democratic primary campaign. Now does that sound like “political activity?”
Well, Wilkins was able to convince the IRS that it was not. He knows his stuff.
Tax-exempt organizations were one of Wilkins’s specialties in private practice. He knows the field, making him a likely key man in the emerging scandal. He’s not just a wealthy donor rewarded with a plum position who doesn’t know much about taxes. No, he’s an expert on the very area of tax law at the heart of the charges of politically motivated harassment of the Tea Party and other conservative groups by the IRS.

By the way, thanks to Mr. Wilkins able handling of the matter, that little problem that candidate Sen. Obama caused for Rev. Wright’s church took only 73 days to resolve.

True the Vote, one of the Tea Party groups targeted, has added Mr. Wilkins to the lawsuit they filed against several other IRS officials in May.

BOMBSHELL: IRS Scandal Laid at White House Door. Valerie Jarrett, Where Are You?

I guess now we know why Lois Lerner took the Fifth. I can’t wait to hear what Diane Sawyer and Brian Williams have to say when they lead with this explosive story!

At yesterday’s latest round of hearings on the IRS targeting of Tea Party groups before Rep. Darryl Issa’s (R-CA) House Oversight Committee, this despicable abuse of the massive power of the federal government, using its most feared agency, Carter Hull, an IRS lawyer for 48 years, testified about interviews had had with investigators for Issa’s committee and Rep. Dave Camp’s (R-MI) Ways and Means Committee. From the Washington Post:

The chief counsel’s office for the Internal Revenue Service, headed by a political appointee of President Obama, helped develop the agency’s problematic guidelines for reviewing “tea party” cases, according to a top IRS attorney.

In interviews with congressional investigators, IRS lawyer Carter Hull said his superiors told him that the chief counsel’s office, led by William Wilkins, would need to review some of the first applications the agency screened for additional scrutiny because of potential political activity.

Mr. Hull wanted to allow the Tea Party groups applications to be processed, approved or denied. He was overruled.

William Wilkins is the IRS’ chief counsel, one of only two of the agencies officials who is a political appointee. By design, because it is so essential that this agency be non-partisan, and enforce the oppressive tax laws in a neutral, non-ideological fashion, there are only two political appointees at the IRS. William Wilkins was one of only two political appointees at the IRS, and he was appointed by Barack Obama, and is a long-time democrat apparatchik.

From the National Review:

Wilkins, who, according to the IRS, heads an office of 1,600 attorneys, has been involved in Democratic politics for over three decades. He joined the Democratic staff on the Senate Finance Committee in 1981 and became the committee’s staff director and chief counsel in 1987, before going on to a career in private practice at the white-shoe law firm WilmerHale. There, he defended pro bono Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s United Church of Christ when the IRS investigated potential violations of its 501(c)(3) status after then-senator Barack Obama delivered a speech there. Wilkins has also donated generously to Democratic causes, contributing over $35,000 to Democratic politicians and party affiliates since 1990, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. He has also contributed to Republican politicians, including Iowa’s Chuck Grassley, but not nearly as generously.

Whoa! Did you catch that? “[H}e defended pro bono Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s United Church of Christ when the IRS investigated potential violations of its 501(c)(3) status after then-senator Barack Obama delivered a speech there.”

So here’s what we know. We know that the this targeting didn’t start with some “rogue” agents in Cincinnati, as we were told by Obama mouthpiece, who is looking more like Ron Ziegler every day, told us. We know that when democrats tried to defend this outrageous abuse of power by saying that “progressive” groups were also attacked, and Inspector General Russell George said that wasn’t true, they turned on him. We know that the concern was “applicants’ political activities leading up to the 2010 election.” Now, the laughable defense attempted by the designated Obama defender in Issa’s committee, Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) yesterday, was that Barack Obama didn’t directly call the IRS office in Cincinnati and say “target my political enemies.” How did the witness, Elizabeth Hofacre, of the Cincinnati IRS office  keep from bursting out laughing?

It’s clear that this was an operation designed to give Barack Obama’s opposition a motivation and activity destroying runaround. Gee, that sounds like “voter suppression,” doesn’t it? And not a word from Eric Holder.

To those who have been critical of Rep. Issa, saying that he has dropped the ball and is letting Barack Obama get away with more Chicago-style bullying, I say you owe him an apology. The GOP is proceeding in the precisely correct way, methodically compiling an airtight legal case by building the record. Keep digging, Mr. Issa. I suggest you consider sending a few investigators over the White House to talk to Valerie Jarrett.

Here is a summary of the key points revealed yesterday in the hearing, from the House Oversight Committee:

  • Carter Hull, a tax law specialist and self-described 501(c)(4) expert with 48 years of experience, testified that he sent development letters, and once he received responses, based on his decades of experience,  determined he had enough facts to make recommendations whether to approve or deny the applications.
  • Mr. Hull’s recommendations were not carried out.  Instead, according Michael Seto, the head of Mr. Hull’s unit in Washington D.C., Lois Lerner instructed that the Tea Party applications should go through a multi-layer review that included her senior advisor and the Chief Counsel’s office.
  • According to Mr. Hull, sometime in the winter of 2010-2011, the senior advisor to Lois Lerner told him the IRS Chief Counsel’s office would need to review these applications.  Mr. Hull also indicated this was the first time in his 48 year career at the IRS he was told to send an application to Ms. Lerner’s senior advisor.
  • It was not until August 2011 that the Chief Counsel’s office held a meeting with Mr. Hull, Ms. Lerner’s senior advisor, and other Washington D.C. officials to discuss these test applications.  During the intervening months, these applications languished.
  • The Chief Counsel’s office instructed Mr. Hull that they needed updated information to evaluate the applications.  Since the applications were up-to-date months earlier, when Mr. Hull made his recommendations, Mr. Hull testified that he found this request from the Chief Counsel’s office surprising.  The Chief Counsel’s office also discussed the possibility of a template letter to develop all the Tea Party applications, including those being held in Cincinnati.  Mr. Hull explained that all the applications were different and that a template was impractical.
  • Mr. Hull’s supervisor, Ronald Shoemaker, provided insight on the type of additional information sought by the Chief Counsel’s office—namely, information about the applicants’ political activities leading up to the 2010 election. (emphasis mine)
  • The lengthy review of the test applications in Washington created a bottleneck and caused the delay of other Tea Party applications in Cincinnati.  Indeed, multiple IRS employees in Cincinnati – including Elizabeth Hofacre — have told the Committee they were waiting on guidance from Washington on how to move the applications forward.
  • Mr. Hull explained that he could not provide advice to Ms. Hofacre because his hands were tied by his superiors in Washington.  Therefore, none of these applications were approved or denied during the time he worked with Ms. Hofacre on the cases.
  • The head of the Cincinnati office, Cindy Thomas, testified that she continuously asked senior Washington officials when guidance was coming, but it was to no avail.

Her Royal Wideness Scams Another Luxury Getaway

As has often been noted, the Obamas are “historic,” because of their race. I suppose that’s true, but I think they are “historic” in another, and related, way. They are the most successful race hustlers in American history, using their black skin privilege to really get back at Whitey, by enjoying their well-deserved reparations. Rev. Wright must be so proud! I wonder if Mooch ever feels any pangs of guilt over her slave ancestors. They suffered the pain of the lash, but that eventually allowed her to exploit her supposed victim status and live an

affirmative-action assisted life of privilege and luxury greater than any human being in human history has ever experienced.

The latest chapter in “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous-Michelle Obama edition” is her taking advantage of the G-8 summit to score a trip to Ireland and Germany. As usual for the First Klingon and her huge entourage, this excursion is no low budget getaway. From The Independent IE:

No expense has been spared in catering for the comforts of Mrs Obama and her party. It is understood she will stay in the luxurious €2,500-a-night Princess Grace suite.

It is understood a total of 30 rooms in the five-star, 265-bedroom hotel, have been booked for the visit of Mrs Obama and her entou- rage. During their stay in Dublin, Mrs Obama and and her daughters will visit Trinity College where they will view the Book of Kells.

Thirty rooms? Seriously? Even if the full-time makeup artist, her stylist and her hair dresser each have his or her own room, and you assume two or three extra rooms for Secret Service personnel, we’ve still got 15 or 20 rooms unaccounted for. Oh wait–I didn’t allow for her food taster.

No one should be surprised. This sort of behavior is precisely what we could expect from a couple of race-hustling, Chicago “community organizers” who have been living large through their political connections and NOT their insignificant ability for years.

Have fun, Mooch, and rest up. You don’t want to be tired out when you go on that $100 million trip to Africa later this summer.

Our Bystander President

Also posted at Clash Daily

It has been said that “Some people make things happen. Some people watch things happen. And then there are those who wonder, ‘What the heck just happened?” After watching the current occupant of the Oval Office, who is also sometimes laughingly known as “The Leader of the Free World,” over the last several years it’s safe to say that he not only doesn’t belong in the first category, he’s not in the second. If he is to be believed, he is clearly in the third camp, a bystander even to events caused by members of his own administration.

No one should be surprised, of course, that he appears to be a tad disconnected from the activities of those supposedly under his command. Recall that this is the same man who attended a church led by a racist, Jew-hating, screeching anti-American lunatic for 20 years, and claimed to have no idea about the incendiary content of his preacher, Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s, sermons. This is also the man who emerged smelling like the proverbial rose, a transcendent figure riding a unicorn over a rainbow, and promising a new beginning for America full of hope, change and transparency, despite arriving on the political scene as the spawn of ACORN by way of the Cook County political machine. That is the same stinking slough of corruption that produced former Illinois governor/current inmate Rod Blagojevich. Both the disgraced governor and Barack Obama shared the same benefactor, one Tony Rezko. Mr. Rezko made it possible for the Obamas to purchase their Chicago mansion, a house that they couldn’t have afforded without Rezko’s help. Yet, after the Chicago Sun-Times questioned Mr. Obama about depending on such a dubious source of financial assistance for the purchase of his family home, Barack claimed that he had no idea about Mr. Rezko’s many shady dealings. Tony went to the steel hotel, sentence to 10.5 years back in November 2011. Barack went to the White House, not once, but twice. It’s true! Ignorance IS bliss!

Before his first election in 2008, we learned that his aunt was living illegally in the United States. He had no idea, he said. She attended his first inauguration, and amazingly was granted amnesty. He also had no idea that his Department of Justice was conducting a dangerous gun walking scheme that ultimately caused the murder of Border Agent Brian Terry and the deaths of hundreds of Mexican citizens.

Now we have a new round of things that Barack Obama didn’t have any idea had happened, even though the responsible parties are all part of his administration. He is outraged. He demands accountability. It’s as if he is a bystander, rather than the person ultimately responsible for what happened. If this is leadership, then Hillary Clinton is as honest as the day is long.

Under Barack Obama’s watch, the Internal Revenue Service deliberately targeted conservative groups, including those devoted to educating people about our Constitution, by subjecting them to extremely burdensome requests for information, intrusive questioning about their donors, and the speakers they hosted, and even what books they read. One group, hoping to accelerate the processing of their application to be a tax-exempt organization, which was taking years, sent a copy of the Constitution. I’m not sure that submission was helpful. It probably confirmed the Obama IRS’ suspicion that they were dangerous subversives.

Barack Obama had no idea any that this highly improper activity was going on until he read it in the newspapers. Nor did he know about his Justice Department’s subpoena of AP reporters phone records, a huge fishing expedition that Eric Holder, who also claims to know very little about it, is trying to cover up with the universal fig leaf “national security.”

Then there is Benghazi, the “bump in the road” that inconveniently included the murder of four brave Americans. Barack was wheels up to Vegas on 9/11/12, off to a pre-election fundraiser, so he couldn’t be expected to know what happened there. Nor should we hold him responsible for the fact the numerous requests by our people in Libya were ignored, requests that should have taken seriously given the previous attacks on the consulate and the assassination attempt on the British ambassador in June, 2012.

Who exactly is in charge here?

I’m sure that there are some cynical bitter clingers among you who recall that Barack Obama is the first president since Richard Nixon to characterize his political opposition as “enemies,” and who has advocated that they be “punished,” and suggest that his claims of ignorance ring hollow. I can’t argue with you.

We’ve gone from “The Buck Stops Here,” to “We Are the Ones We’ve Been Waiting For” to “There’s No There There.” For once, Barack Obama, at least referring to his own leadership and acceptance of responsibility, is correct.
