Note to Mr. Holder: We’re Refusing The Label Of Racist … J. D. Longstreet

A Commentary by J. D. Longstreet

4ca05-j-d-longstreet-5-28-2013-231narrowI am a long time reader of anything written by Mychal Massie.  The man is a true conservative.
Mr. Massie has written a piece entitled:  “Blacks And Palestinians Are A Lot Alike.”  It is “spot-on!” (Editor’s note: Mychal Massie was a guest on The Teri O’Brien Show last September.)

Mychal S. Massie is an ordained minister who spent 13 years in full-time Christian Ministry. He was founder and president of the non-profit “In His Name Ministries.” He is the former National Chairman of the conservative black think tank, Project 21-The National Leadership Network of Black Conservatives and a former member of its parent think tank, the National Center for Public Policy Research. In his official capacity with this free-market, public-policy think tank, he has spoken at the U.S. Capitol, CPAC, participated in numerous press conferences on Capitol Hill, the National Press Club and testified concerning property rights pursuant to the “Endangered Species Act” before the Chairman of the House Committee on Resources. He has been a keynote speaker at colleges and universities nationwide, at Tea Party Rallies, as well as rallies supporting our troops, conservative presidents, and conservative causes across the country. He is an unapologetic supporter of our right to own and carry firearms.

Oh, Mr. Massie also happens to be a black American.

In his article Mr. Massie says:

“The Jews are no more the enemies of the Palestinians than Americans are the suppressors of blacks. The question that begs an answer is where would these same blacks crying foul be if they weren’t in America? Just as the puppet-masters encourage the Palestinians to reject modernity so too are blacks encouraged.”
Mr. Massie continues:  “… it is not the Palestinians terrorizing Israel who are sitting in palatial splendor and opulence complete with gold toilets; it is not the blacks chanting the support of race-mongers who are the benefactors of the racial antipathy.

Blacks have not benefited from the visceral heterodoxy of Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, Holder, or for that matter Louis Farrakhan. The blacks crying foul and being led to see racism behind every bush are not benefiting from their untoward and often manufactured complaints. But the same cannot be said for the race-mongers who are quick to inflame their laments. Said race-mongers reap the rewards of the ignorant acts of the easily led.” — SOURCE:

American Leftists have continued their mantra of  “Let’s have a national conversation about racism in America.”  But it is impossible — made so by the very political movement that cries crocodile tears as they plead for that racism conversation.

The moment the conversation nears the truth, they cry “foul,” To make matters worse, and to completely stop any conversation about racism in America, they accuse those who truly DO want to talk, (out in the open) about racism in America, of being racists!

So we’re not going there anymore.  It’s a bit like Charlie Brown having the football plucked from in front of his foot each fall by Lucy.  We’re tired of it.  We’ve had it.  Most of us now refuse to even discuss racism any longer. We are sure that it is a hopelessly compromised argument no longer answerable to reason and not worthy of our time or consideration.

Let’s be clear.  There IS racism in America.  But let’s be clear about something else.  If America isn’t the least racist country on the planet, then America is certainly amongst the least racist countries on the globe.

So, whose the loser here?  Funny thing is the losers don’t see themselves as having lost.  As Mr. Massie said above, they are easily led.   Unfortunately, they have been led into a false sense of pride at being imaginary modern day slaves.   And to be sure, they ARE slaves, but it is voluntary servitude to masters from amongst them who preach to them and tell them that which they long to hear …  excuses …  excuses for their own inability to hoist themselves up after having been free for over 150 years in a nation that offers every opportunity for advancement possible to man.

There is no excuse for sloth.   Sloth is identified in the Holy Scriptures of the Judeo-Christian faith as the personification of a deadly sin.  And it is deadly — to the soul.  It robs one of ambition and induces a feeling of well being even though one is in the direst of circumstances.

Look.  Racism has always existed and always will.  To mistrust anyone not like us was, and remains, a part of the nature’s defense mechanism wired into to every human being.   It is also within each of us to rise above misplaced distrust and determine to live and work together to make our coexistence as pleasant as possible.

And finally:  There is not a man, woman, or child walking the earth today who does not have slavery in his genealogy.  Somewhere in all our ancestry we are all descended from slaves.   So much for being a descendant of slaves as an excuse for one’s station in modern life.

Slavery STILL exists, even today.  According to a recent article in the Washington Post  there are some 30 million slaves today — in the year 2014.

Consider:  “We think of slavery as a practice of the past, an image from Roman colonies or 18th-century American plantations, but the practice of enslaving human beings as property still exists. There are 29.8 million people living as slaves right now, according to a comprehensive new report  issued by the Australia-based Walk Free Foundation.”  – SOURCE:

“This is not some softened, by-modern-standards definition of slavery. These 30 million people are living as forced laborers, forced prostitutes, child soldiers, child brides in forced marriages and, in all ways that matter, as pieces of property, chattel in the servitude of absolute ownership. Walk Free investigated 162 countries and found slaves in every single one.”  — SOURCE:

My friend and fellow commentator, Alan Caruba, said in an article entitled: “I am Tired of Being Called a White Racist,” which was published back in 2013:  “I don’t know when it occurred to me that I had gone from having shaken hands with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to being called a white racist, but apparently I was not paying attention.

Neither were a lot of others of my generation who had welcomed and supported the Civil Rights movement only to discover we were not going to hear a word of thanks. Younger generations have suffered the same indignity.” – SOURCE:

Mr Caruba went on to say:  “Speaking solely for myself I am extremely disappointed by the failure of too many black Americans to simply admit that there is something terribly wrong in a community that has too many abortions, too many fatherless children, too much exploitation of welfare systems, too much drug use and trafficking, and too much blame on white racism for these and other ills.

Instead of seeing evidence that the black community in America is mounting an effort to address its problems what I and others see and hear are the same tired race hustlers, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and others, spewing the same “blame whitey” rhetoric.

It needs to be said that racism cuts both ways, but too much black racism gets a pass. Whites are not to blame at this point.”  – SOURCE:

Like Mr. Caruba, I, too, am tired of the white racist label.  I refuse to be yoked with a guilt I do not deserve.   It is past time for the white race to turn its collective back on the false cries of racism — and just walk away.

MS-NBC: I Have Been Calling It The 24/7 Televised Insane Asylum for Years for a Reason

As you probably know, yesterday Martin Bashir, who has the distinction of having the lowest rated show on MS-NBC–think ugliest woman at a NOW convention, apologized for an especially revolting monologue describing unspeakable acts that should be inflicted on Gov. Sarah Palin. I saw this performance, and since as you know, I watched this garbage so you guys don’t have to, I was disgusted, but not surprised. If you didn’t see it, here’s the video of the original remarks (WARNING: do not watch at meal time), followed by the video of the apology.

Time for a 180:

For years, I have asked just what it was about following around Michael Jackson for a couple of days made this clown qualified to anchor “Nightline,” and then get his own show. Of course, over at the 24/7 nuthouse, the bar for hosts is pretty low. Consider Rev. Al Sharpton and the porcine screamer, Ed Schulz. Speaking of him, he got suspended for calling Laura Ingraham a “right wing slut,” and Alec Baldwin also lost some airtime for an anti-homosexual outburst (yes, he has a show on MS-NBC. I know you don’t know. Almost no one knew.) Yet Bashir gets off with this expedient apology. Is it because he has a British accent?

Do you suppose he’ll get a call from B. Hussein, reminding him that we need to be more civil in our political discourse? You don’t think so? You mean all that “soaring rhetoric” after the Gabby Giffords’ shooting was just politically-motivated clap trap?

Are We Free, or Are We Slaves to an Anti-Christian, Militantly Secularist Mob?

Elijah Parish Lovejoy was a minister and journalist, who for several years early in the 19th century edited a newspaper called the St. Louis Observer. Unfortunately, some of the locals weren’t fans of his anti-slavery views. From Wikipedia: (I know, but the actual sources are in the footnotes)

In May 1836, after anti-abolitionist opponents in St. Louis destroyed his printing press for the third time, Lovejoy left the city and moved across the river to Alton in the free state of Illinois. In 1837 he started the Alton Observer, also an abolitionist paper. On November 7, 1837, a pro-slavery mob attacked the warehouse where Lovejoy had his fourth printing press. Lovejoy and his supporters exchanged gunfire with the mob, which fatally shot him. He died on the spot and was soon hailed as a martyr by abolitionists across the country. After his death, his brother Owen Lovejoy entered politics and became the leader of the Illinois abolitionists.

The story of the martyrdom of Mr. Lovejoy inspired Prof. Laurens P. Hickok to deliver an impassioned speech two days later. Prof. Hickok stated “The crisis has come. The question now before the American citizens is no longer alone, ‘Can the slaves be made free?’ but, ‘Are we free, or are we slaves under Southern mob law?’ At the end of the speech, a man who had been sitting silently and unnoticed in the back of the room, rose and said solemnly, while lifting up his right hand, “Here, before God, in the presence of these witnesses, from this time, I consecrate my life to the destruction of slavery!” Of course, as you probably know, his name was John Brown.

Even though this incident happened nearly two hundred years ago, the question of whether liberty can survive the mob remains relevant. In the 19th century, the mob was determined to silence anyone who spoke out against the evil of slavery, even if they had to destroy his livelihood, and even take his life. Today the mob uses political correctness to silence or destroy anyone who refuses to except the current orthodoxy that says that homosexuality is at least as wholesome, normal and appropriate as traditional marriage. I say “at least” because I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that the popular culture suggests that homosexuality is a vastly superior, even fabulous, if you will, lifestyle. Popular network television situation comedies are largely responsible for the public’s acceptance of homosexuality. I know that Joe Biden said it, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day. It was actually part of a brilliant and well-executed strategy that worked like a charm. Back in 1990, two guys wrote a book called After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90′s. It’s basically like a “Rules for Radicals” to get us where we are today accepting homosexuality, using the popular culture like television shows. Of course, just as no one ever explained how the twenty-somethings on “Friends” could afford New York City rent while working in coffee shops or other low-paying service jobs, no one explains that the homosexual couples on these sitcoms, who are just same-sex versions of Ward and June Cleaver, are not real-life representative of the “gay” lifestyle.

Having successfully convinced a large percentage of the public that it is “hateful” to consider homosexuality is wrong, deviant and bad for society, now activists have a new project; that is, silencing anyone who dares to say that it is, or behave in any way that suggests that he or does not approve. It’s not enough to live and let live. Like the Stalinists conducting their pre-execution show trials, the Pink Mob is determined to force everyone to “cooperate,” to admit that homosexuality is healthy and normal. That includes people who do not choose to participate in so-called same-sex weddings on religious grounds.

Here’s another example of this tolerant bunch. From The Washington Times:

A husband-and-wife bakery shop team in Oregon were forced to close their shop doors and move to cheaper digs — their home — after gay-rights activists hounded them and drove away contract business because they refused for Christian reasons to bake for a same-sex wedding.

Aaron and Melissa Klein own and operate Sweet Cakes by Melissa. In the past few months, they’ve faced heated scrutiny — some in the form of physical threats — from those in the gay-rights crowd who decried their May refusal to bake for a lesbian couple who wanted to marry.

So, Prof. Hickok’s question is still relevant. Today the question is not whether our “gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law.” The question is whether Aaron and Melissa Klein are free if they are terrorized out of running their business by militant fanatics. Their shop has closed, and as Huffington Post reports, the lesbian couple has filed a government complaint against them.

From the love that dare not state its name to the love that must be exalted at all cost, or else.

Nice little business you’ve got there Mr. And Mrs. Klein. It would be a shame if anything happened to it.

Are we free, or are we slaves to an anti-Christian militantly secularist mob?

How Many Dead Slaves Does It Take To Prove These Teachers Are Idiots?

This story is certainly an argument for paying teachers based on competence, not tenure. Note that it was the student teacher who noticed how bone-headed this proposed homework assignment is.

From NY1:

It was quite a homework assignment that a fourth grade teacher at P.S. 59 wanted to give her students last Thursday.

It consisted of a few math problems, but Aziza Harding, the student teacher who was asked to photocopy the worksheet, couldn’t believe a couple of the questions.

“I’m just like, ‘Wow, this is really inappropriate,’” she said.

Question 1 on the sheet, entitled “Slavery Word Problems Homework”, was written as a matter-of-fact subtraction problem. It asked:

“In a slave ship, there can be 3,799 slaves. One day, the slaves took over the ship. 1,897 are dead. How many slaves are alive?”

The second question had multiple parts multiplication and addition. It said:

“One slave got whipped five times a day. How many times did he get whipped in a month (31 days)? Another slave got whipped nine times a day. How many times did he get whipped in a month? How many times did the two slaves get whipped together in one month?

Keep in mind that not one, but two veteran, teachers thought this assignment was a good idea.

Barack Hussein Obama …mmm…mmm…mmm. Isn’t he the guy who has made clear at every opportunity that the only lost jobs that matter are those of public school teachers? Don’t we hear endlessly that we must throw more money into his “stimulus” ratholes, let those precious teachers might-GASP-be laid off? Screw the serfs who pay their salaries. If they get laid off, who cares?
