Corruption, Crony Capitalism and Obama’s Crypto-Communism: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

Today we focus on corruption, crony capitalism and the redistributionist policies of Obama and his merry band of Marxists. Since the Jurassic media shows no interest in investigating and reporting on the lawlessness of the Obama administration, we’re fortunate to have the tireless fighters of government corruption and secrecy,  at Judicial Watch, who are always at the tip of the spear in the fight. Christopher Farrell, Judicial Watch’s Director of Research and Investigation, will join us to tell us the latest about their terrific work, including the New Black Panther Party case. Why would Eric Holder’s Justice Department dismiss a slam dunk voter intimidation case against these racist thugs? Are the denials about the involvement of higher-ups in the decision true? In addition, we’ll ask Mr. Farrell about Judicial Watch’s exposure of your tax dollars being funneled into the coffers of another racist bunch of “community organizers,” La Raza. What does Obama crony Cecilia Muños have to do with throwing money down that rathole? Incidentally, Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch has written a new fabulous book, The Corruption Chronicles: Obama’s Big Secrecy, Big Corruption and Big Government, which you should definitely check out.

Meanwhile, a senior citizen, who appears to be certifiably insane and who may or may not be the Senate Majority Leader, takes to the Senate floor to share fairy tales about his imaginary friends and their gossip about Mitt Romney’s tax returns. Could they be rationing psych meds already? I didn’t think Obamacare fully kicked in until 2014! Or perhaps there’s another explanation. This geezer and his friends Mr. Axelrod and Mr. Plouffe have realized that, for all the advantages they saw in him as an opponent (Bain Capital, his dog, his wife’s horse), Mr. Romney’s candidacy also presents an inconvenient and perhaps insurmountable obstacle to their re-election plans: he’s not divorced. That fact renders the only play in their book, “Smear the Opponent” worthless, unless they can find another way to run it. It’s that reality that is inspiring the old man to further embarrass himself.

While many thought it, entrepreneur Ray Gaster said it, on the sign outside his Savannah, Georgia lumberyard. He’ll join us to tell us why he thought this public rebuke was the right response to Barack Obama’s infamous “you didn’t build that” remark, and why he thinks it is appropriate to use such colorful “Chicago style” language when doing so.

Tune in today for the rest of the story.

Ultimate Irony: Will Obama be Disqualified from Running in 2012? Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

If we were to describe the Obama administration in one word, it would be difficult, but several options do spring to mind. “Stagnation,” certainly wold be on the list, when we think of our limping economy, which Barack Obama pledged to fix. Considering the frequent White House celebrity-studded soirèes, the lavish luxury vacations, Michelle’s full-time makeup artist and fly-ins for their personal trainer, “extravagance” is another word we could use, which brings us to something that probably comes a lot closer, “hypocrisy.”

All of these words are spot on, but there is one that captures the essence of this administration better than any other, and that word is “lawless.” Michele Bachman was completely accurate when she referred to “gangster government.” Consider the following:

  • The Solyndra scandal
  • His continuation of an offshore oil drilling moratorium, despite its being struck down by a U.S. District judge, an action that resulted in the administration being held in contempt of court
  • His “recess” appointments, deemed legal by one of his own administration’s lackeys in the White House counsel’s office, including the appointment of Richard Cordray, head of the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This last one particularly offensive, since the very stature creating this position requires Senate confirmation

The latest example of this bunch thumbing its nose at the rule of law and the other brances of government, occurred this past Thursday, when Barack Obama defied Georgia administrative judge, the Honorable Michael Malihi’s order that he appear and produce documents to respond to a challenge to his eligibility to appear on the ballot. Today we are delighted to welcome back Van Irion, founder of the Liberty Legal Foundation, lead attorney in the case arguing the position that Barack Hussein Obama is not an Article II “natural born citizen.” Why did Obama fail to appear through his attorney? Is this just another example of his administration’s lawlessness or is there something else behind it? What’s the end game? If the judge enters a judgement against Obama, what will be the practical effect? And what about the political implications? Is this litigation a gift to the Obama campaign? Could this be the ultimate irony: a lawless administration disqualified from consideration in the upcoming election because of its very existence violates the law?

Tune in Sunday for the rest of the story.

Will China Rule the World? Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

In response to the release of New York Times reporter Jodi Kantor’s new book “The Obamas,” Michelle rejects the charge that she is “an angry black woman,” a phrase that no one can find in Ms. Kantor’s book. Michelle’s use of that phrase is very revealing. If we want to find ample evidence that Mrs. Obama is a race-obsessed, seething cauldron of rage and entitlement, we need look no further than her own statements over the years. Let’s enjoy some of those together today, shall we?

While commenting on the kerfuffle over the book, former Enron consultant/leftist munchkin Paul Krugman was the latest Lame Stream Media mouthpiece for the current administration to marvel at the lack of scandals in the Obama administration. Perhaps Mr. Krugman is a teensy-weensy bit out of the loop. The name “Solyndra,” the now-bankrupt recipient of a half-billion dollars of our cash and coincidentally an investment owned by Obama campaign “bundler” George Kaiser, is now infamous, but even as it was the subject of yet another Friday document dump by the regime, it turns out that there are actually 11 more Solyndras, ratholes into which Barack Obama has thrown buckets of taxpayer money. CBS’ Sheryl Atkisson continues to commit actual journalism on this case, just as she did on the Fast and Furious gun walking mess, another Obama “non scandal.”

This morning Chris Matthews, obviously thinking about the gaudy foreign policy credentials Barack Obama accumulated while voting present in the Illinois State Senate after several years standing on a Chicago street corner with a clipboard, wondered whether Mitt Romney’s lack of foreign experience would hurt him if he is the GOP’s nominee. Other pundits have endlessly debated whether the former Massachusetts’ governor’s Mormon faith, wealth or tenure at Bain Capital are hindrances in his pursuit of the presidency, but one New York Times columnist thinks Mitt has an ace of up his sleeve; specifically that he is the “whitest man to run for President.”

Mitt Romney is the one candidate who has spoken about the threat to the United States represented by the rise of China, but is this threat real? We’ll ask our guest Troy Parfitt, author of Why China Will Never Rule the World.  I wonder what he thinks of the Chinese Martin Luther King Memorial?

Tune in Sunday for the rest of the story.

John Corzine: I Know Nothing

Today, former Wall Street big shot/democrat hack John Corzine will appear before the House Agriculture Committee, apparently to offer an apology, but no explanation, for the missing $1.2 million of client funds from his bankrupt and bizarrely named MF Global. From his prepared statement, via CBS News:

“I want to emphasize that, since my resignation from MF Global on November 3, 2011, I have not had access to the information that I would need to understand what happened. It is extremely difficult for me to reconstruct the events that occurred during the chaotic days and the last hours leading up to the bankruptcy filing. I simply do not know where the money is, or why the accounts have not been reconciled to date.”

All righty then. Case closed. Not exactly. Corzine and three other MF executives are being sued personally. No doubt the litigation will also delve into some of MF’s creative accounting:

MF Global didn’t list its European debt on its balance sheet for all to see. Instead, those holdings were shifted to an “off-balance sheet,” deep in its financial statements. Some separate filings with regulators excluded the European debt entirely.

European debt? Yes, MF had a brilliant investment strategy, that involved putting its clients cash into European economies on the verge of collapse. Apparently, they rejected investing in green energy is too risky.

Speaking of Solyndra, which I just was in case you missed that reference, a well-known beneficiary of Obama’s crony capitalism, I couldn’t help but think of Mr. Corzine when I heard the Dear Reader utter these words 48 hours ago in Kansas, during his latest one-man show, “Barack: I’m Every President Except Myself”:

Inequality also distorts our democracy.  It gives an outsized voice to the few who can afford high-priced lobbyists and unlimited campaign contributions, and runs the risk of selling out our democracy to the highest bidder.  And it leaves everyone else rightly suspicious that the system in Washington is rigged against them – that our elected representatives aren’t looking out for the interests of most Americans.

John Corzine was not only one of those evil Wall Street fat cats, but more important an Obama bundler, who raised $500,000 for the president’s campaign. Of course, ethical politician that he is, Obama has said that he will return the $5000 that Mr. Corzine personally contributed. I eagerly await his critique against MF’s special treatment, which we can all rest assured has absolutely no connection to his very helpful assistance getting Barry in a position to “remake” America.

Remind me again why Martha Stewart spent five months in jail.

Hillsdale Econ Professor, Gary Wolfram, on Occupy Wall Street: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

This week we’ll focus on the democrats,’ both elected and unelected, the latter sometimes called “journalists,” and their desperate attempts to deflect attention from the embarrassing, and possible perjurious, Solyndra testimony by another Obama administration braniac, Department of Energy Secretary Stephen Chu. They hope that by incessantly bleating about Newt Gingrich’s alleged lobbying on behalf of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, they can cover up the reeking stench of corruption and cronyism rising from the administration’s green energy schemes. Unfortunately for Obama and his liberal friends, trying to cover up this fetid  mess by talking about the GOP field is like trying to conceal the odor of a rotting corpse with a can of air freshener. You’re going to need a lot more than Lysol for this one.

Speaking of foul odors, the Occupy Everything but a Shower and a Job Movement continues its always silly and juvenile, and increasingly violent, anti-capitalist activities, seemingly blind to what is obvious to even moderately intelligent observers; specifically, that it is only capitalism that makes their lives possible. Our special guest, Gary Wolfram, Hillsdale College professor of economics, and author of the recent column “Occupy Wall Street Blind to the Benefits of Capitalism,” will explain why this bunch of whining slackers reminds him of Monty Python.

Tune in Sunday for the rest of the story.
