Barack Obama’s “Foreign Policy Successes?” Plus Marco Rubio Gets Palined: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

This week Barack Obama spiked the football over his amazing foreign successes. From terminating Osama bin Laden with extreme prejudice back in May, to killing Anwar al-Awlaki last month, and this week’s two-fer, the dramatic announcement that all American troops would leave Iraq by the end of 2011 and the death of the man Ronald Reagan called the “mad dog of the Middle East,” Muammar Gaddafi. Certainly, when we think of this character’s decades-long sponsorship of worldwide terrorism, and his involvement in the 1988 Lockerbie bombing, the phrase “good riddance” springs to mind. I shed no tears for Gaddafi, but that’s me, your typical right wing extremist.  How can our liberal friends celebrate the murder of Gaddafi at the hands of a blood-thirsty vengeful mob, who ignored his pleas for his life before they put a bullet through his head? That’s some end to what began as a “humanitarian mission.” These are the people who believe that Khalid Sheik Mohammed, who masterminded the murder of nearly 3000 Americans, deserves a trial that would make an ACLU attorney beam with pride. How do they pat themselves, and their heroic leader, B. Hussein Obama, on the back over this episode? Eric Holder? Anybody? Also, apparently forgotten is the fact that back in March, when this whole adventure began, Obama administration officials were very adamant that the mission was not to kill Gaddafi. What happened? Perhaps those are the great features of “leading from behind,” the ability to rewrite history, take credit for what can be spun as positive and have plausible deniability for the rest. As for Iraq, I don’t want to spoil the party, but I feel compelled to mention that our troops are leaving not because Barack Obama kept a campaign promise. We are leaving in the way that we are because we are being thrown out because his administration lacks the skill to manage the deal that President Bush cut with Iraq before Obama was in office. I suspect that the Iranians may be the ones who eventually will be celebrating. At the end of the day, have any of these supposed foreign policy “victories,” made us safer? We’ll ask our guest, investigative journalist, sought-after expert on terrorism and author of The Terrorist Next Door: How the Government is Deceiving You About the Islamic Threat, Erick Stakelbeck. What now for Libya? What about the resurgence of the Muslim Brotherhood there and elsewhere in the Middle East?

Speaking of celebrating, the Lame Stream Media is delighted over Herman Cain’s unfortunate comments about abortion. How could he sound so confused? Couldn’t he just have said that it’s “above my paygrade?” That seemed to work in 2008.

There they go again. Three years ago the unofficial members of the BHO campaign, sometimes called “journalists” devoted nearly all the time and energy they weren’t spending constructing shrines to Barack Obama going through Sarah Palin’s trash, speculating about the paternity of her youngest child, and subjecting every aspect of her biography to the strictest scrutiny. What a sharp contrast to the complete lack of curiosity or interest in the shadowy past of their Anointed One, whose own paternity continues to be the subject of some mystery. Now, they have descended on Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). We’ll explore it with our special guest, Humberto Fontova, author of several books, including Fidel: Hollywood’s Favorite Tyrant and the wonderfully-titled Exposing the Real Che Guevara and the Useful Idiots who Idolize Him. His family escaped from Castro’s prison island in 1961, and I can’t think of a better authority to comment on this latest LSM hypocrisy.

Tune in Sunday for the rest of the story.

Obama Beats a Speedy Exit from the “Good” War

Last night the narcissistic, affirmative-action assisted empty suit elected by the American Idol and Oprah audiences in 2008 read another one of his vapid, platitude-ridden speeches, and somehow managed to appear even more disconnected and tone deaf than usual. He mentioned himself about a dozen times, but never mentioned General David Petraeus once. There was no explanation of how his plan to beat a hasty retreat from Afghanistan would improve America’s national security, ensure that the tremendous sacrifices made by our troops and their families were not in vain, or otherwise accomplish any important objective. We did learn that the “tide of war” is just like rise of the oceans. The One has calmed them both. Seriously, isn’t it time that this guy get some new writers? The twenty-something acolytes who write this drivel are running out of clichés.

The dead behind the eyes, self-absorbed performance aside, the real mystery is how Barack Obama came up with this brilliant plan to undo the surge by next summer. Hint: it may have less to do with national security, and a teensy weensy bit more to do with next year’s presidential election. From the Liberal Death Star (the New York Times):

The troop reductions, which were decided after a short but fierce internal debate, will be both deeper and faster than the recommendations made by Mr. Obama’s military commanders, and they will come as the president faces relentless budget pressures, an increasingly restive American public and a re-election campaign next year.

The pace of the withdrawal is a setback for the president’s top commander in Afghanistan, Gen. David H. Petraeus, who has been named director of the Central Intelligence Agency. General Petraeus did not endorse the decision, said another official. Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates argued publicly against a too-hasty withdrawal of troops, but he said in a statement on Wednesday that he supported Mr. Obama’s decision.

During the internal debate, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton also expressed reservations about the scale of the reductions, officials said.

General Petraeus had recommended limiting withdrawals to 5,000 troops this year and another 5,000 over the winter.

I guess I understand now why he didn’t mention Gen. Petraeus. Who needs him when you’ve got Joe “3 Letter Word JOBS” Biden?

With a straight face, Barack Obama told us that we need to “live within our means” while we do “national building” here at home. Wasn’t that what the $800 billion “stimulus” package that he insisted on in February 2009 was all about? Why must this man continue to insult our intelligence? Say it loud, say proud, Barry. This military stuff is just a distraction from your mission to “remake” America, and its taking money that could be better spent on more food stamps and generous benefits from “Barack’s stash.”

That sound you heard last night was thousands of jihadists celebrating their pending victory over the Great Satan. I fear that 2012 Retreat Summer will work out about as well as 2010’s “Recovery Summer.”

Critics Assail Lack of FTC Approval for Fatah-Hamas Merger

On the day that President Barack Hussein Obama will make a major foreign policy speech about the Middle East at the State Department, Mohammed Mohammed Abdul Abul Abdullah, spokesman for KABOOM (Kindred Alliance of Bombers, Osama-Worshipping, Oddball Maniacs) expressed the organization’s unhappiness that the recent merger of Hamas and Fatah did not require approval by the FTC. He referred not to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, but rather the Fanatic Terrorist Commission, a little-known organization that attempts to promote competition among murdering terrorist groups.

Mr. Abdullah explained:

Many Americans do not understand that we are not anti-modern. We are anti-Western. We hate America, but we love its technology. Don’t be fooled by that video of Osama watching that 70’s style dorm tv with the wires coming out of the back. He was old school, no matter how much we tried to drag him into the 21st century when it comes to technology.  He was worse than your Aunt Tillie, who still has a VCR, and one with that “12:00” flashing on the clock! Honestly, it was ridiculous. Many people believe that the reason that he didn’t have a cell phone was that he was afraid of being captured. That wasn’t it at all. We just couldn’t get him to use one that wasn’t made in 1998 and wasn’t the size of a toaster! We finally gave up and took it away from him.

But I digress …I wanted to talk about this merger and how it should not have been permitted. As I said, we love technology, including cable tv. Personally, I love CNBC and Fox Business, and I’ve learned from watching them that competition makes organizations more innovative and more productive. It also lets us all reap the benefits of experimentation. The infidel Stuart Varney talks about it all the time. So now we have this competition-reducing merger. It’s no good! Say one group wants to blow up a school and one wants to blow up a school bus. Instead of doing both, and seeing which one results in more death, injury and destruction, we have them choosing to do only one! It’s very very bad. I don’t know what the FTC could have been thinking!

Asked whether the merger might jeopardize future funding from the United States, Mr. Abdullah said “You’re kidding, right?”
