When Katherine Met Tamerlan, a Jihadist Love Story

I guess I can see why Katherine Russell fell in love with murdering Islamic fanatic Tamerlan Tsarnaev. From the New York Daily News:

College roommates of Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s widow described him as a brutish, manipulative boyfriend who often hurled insults — and more — at the woman who would eventually bear his child.

Three of Katherine Russell’s pals at Suffolk University watched as she was terrorized by the dead bombing suspect after they began their on-and-off relationship in 2007, NPR reported.
Angry and controlling, Tsarnaev called Russell a “slut” and a “prostitute” and was known to throw furniture or

other objects at her during fits of rage, the unnamed roommates said.

What a dream boat! No wonder he swept her off her feet! And that was before she entered the dream come true of actually being married to Tamerlan, in which she could work 70 hours a week while he stayed home building bombs and planning murder and mayhem.

Does the Violence Against Women Act have anything to say about this sort of thing? I didn’t think so.

Under The Radar: Obama Administration’s Outrageous Abuses of Executive Power Threaten 2nd Amendment

While Barack Obama and Joe Biden barnstorm the country attempting to gin up emotionally-driven indignation against our 2nd Amendment rights, federal agencies under their control are working behind the scenes to put the hurt on firearms’ manufacturers and law-abiding citizens who dare to exercise their rights. David Keene, President of the NRA, writes today in the Washington Times:

One major national firearms retailer, for example, has been under fire for more than two years from the Obama administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. It seems the company won’t hire convicted felons, which the commission claims amounts to illegal racial discrimination. The federal government these days argues that policies that have what government lawyers call a “disparate impact” on racial minorities amount to impermissible discrimination – even when the policies themselves were not put in place for discriminatory reasons. Thus, the government argues that a higher percentage of minorities within the felony population than in the population at large means that any policy that discriminates against felons as a class is discriminatory because its impact falls disparately on minorities.

Company officials pointed out to commission investigators threatening to charge the company with discrimination that they couldn’t hire felons even if they wanted to, because federal law prohibits federal firearms licensees from hiring felons. The investigator’s response was, according to a company official I talked to: “That’s your problem, not ours.”

He also describes the persecution of gun collector Kristopher Gasior.

Security agents to the Fredericksburg, Va., home of Kristopher Gasior on March 8. Mr. Gasior is a gun collector, author and expert on Polish-made firearms. Mr. Gasior owns a collection that includes a rare military rifle made by the Polish government in 1938, was captured by invading German forces the next year, and brought to the United States by a GI who took it from a German in the final days of the war.The agents who came to his door didn’t have a warrant, but Mr. Gasior’s wife invited them in, and when her husband came into the room, they asked if he had the rifle. When he said yes and showed it to them, they seized it and gave him a receipt after informing him that they were taking it on behalf of the Polish government. They claimed it was a “one-of-a-kind rifle” that had been looted from the Polish government during the war.

This situation is reminiscent of last week’s ridiculous action by the state of New Jersey. Fortunately in that case, the law-abiding citizen on the receiving end of government persecution demanded a warrant, which of course, the state thugs could not produce. From CBS News:

Shawn Moore said he gave his son Josh the gun as a present to use on hunting trips. The elder Moore was at a friend’s house when his wife called, saying state child welfare investigators, along with four local police officers, were at the house, asking to inspect the family’s guns.

Moore said he called his lawyer Evan Nappen, who specializes in Second Amendment cases, and had him on speakerphone as he arrived at his house in Carneys Point, just across the Delaware River from Wilmington, Del.

“They said they wanted to see into my safe and see if my guns were registered,” Moore said. “I said no; in New Jersey, your guns don’t have to be registered with the state; it’s voluntary. I knew once I opened that safe, there was no going back.”

With the lawyer listening in on the phone, Moore said he asked the investigators and police officers whether they had a warrant to search his home. When they said no, he asked them to leave. One of the child welfare officials would not identify herself when Moore asked for her name, he said.

The agents and the police officers left, and nothing has happened since, he said.

“I don’t like what happened,” he said. “You’re not even safe in your own house. If they can just show up at any time and make you open safes and go through your house, that’s not freedom; it’s like tyranny.”

Precisely. I’m still waiting for Gov. Chris Christie’s apology for this disgusting act by state officials.

The Obama administration knows its proposed new gun control measures are non-starters, but regardless, the tyrannical actions of federal agencies will continue even if these measures go down in flames.

As David Kopel, one of America’s leading experts on 2nd Amendment law told us recently when he visited The Teri O’Brien Show, we live in perilous times.

Guccifer and his Pet Crickets

Only We can keep Journalists Quiet

Only We can keep Journalists Quiet

A little over a month ago, the hacker extraordinaire Guccifer pilfered the sister of former President George W. Bush’s e-mail account. The press had a field day chortling over self-portraits President Bush painted of himself. Not so funny was the e-mail that disclosed George H.W. Bush was so close to his maker that a team was practicing for his imminent demise. G.W. Bush was preparing an eulogy. Serious stuff. Stuff First Lady Barbara Bush didn’t need to hear. The effort to keep Mrs. Bush unaware of the preparations was specifically noted in the e-mails.

That didn’t stop the press from publishing the contents of private e-mails.

When Sarah Palin’s e-mail was hacked by David Kernell, the press loved it. David Kernell is the son of Democratic Tennessee state representative Mike Kernell. Facing 20 years in prison, he received a year and a day. Hardly motivation for others to avoid this behavior.

Then last week we had Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder, and a slew of others get their credit reports and other information stolen.

All of a sudden it isn’t funny anymore to the press. This hacker left this for Michelle Obama:

‘Blame your husband, we still love you, Michelle. <3′

Perhaps a reference to the hacker not being able to verify Barrack Obama’s Social Security Number. (/sarc off) No, I won’t link to Orly Taitz. GGIFY

In any event, the press did their level best to keep that site a secret. Actually, it was pretty bland if you ask me.

Then, just as that crisis was winding down and Hillary was distracting everyone with her gay marriage announcement, word came the Sidney Blumenthal was hacked.

Armed with confidential memos to Hillary Clinton that were stolen from the e-mail account of a former White House aide, a hacker has distributed some of the documents to a wide array of congressional aides, political figures, and journalists worldwide.

In a series of weekend e-mail blasts, the hacker known as “Guccifer” disseminated four recent memos to Clinton from Sidney Blumenthal, a longtime confidant of the former Secretary of State.

The 64-year-old Blumenthal, who worked as a senior White House adviser to President Bill Clinton, had his AOL e-mail account hacked last week by “Guccifer,”

This guy is advising the Secretary of State with an AOL account? Yikes! We are in trouble.

Most of the e-mail recipients were sent four separate memos that were e-mailed to Clinton by Blumenthal during the past five months. Each memo dealt with assorted developments in Libya, including the September 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi. One memo marked “Confidential” was sent to Clinton on September 12.

Now before you get all ‘smoking gun’ on me, it’s against the law for classified material to be on a unauthorized (read: non-governmental) computer. Therefore, it isn’t likely that Mrs. Clinton would use her government computer to send Sidney Blumenthal anything that would get her in trouble. His computer would be unauthorized. She would know this by the heat EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson took. She was forced to resign.

Nevertheless, the press has been incredibly silent. So silent you can hear the crickets chirping. This sort of thing doesn’t stay quiet forever, tho. This Guccifer sent these e-mails to “hundreds” of journalists.

While the majority of the journalists to whom he sent the Blumenthal memos are based in the U.S., “Guccifer” also sent the documents (in a separate e-mail) to about two dozen reporters working for Russian outlets like Pravda, the Moscow Times, The St. Petersburg Times, and the RT news channel.

Our journalists might be able to hold out releasing these e-mails, but the Russians? I don’t think so.

In other news, Reince Priebus wants a say in who moderates the next presidential debates.

RNC chairman Reince Priebus told The Daily Caller that the party does not only want to reduce the number of debates. The RNC, he said, also wants to explore the possibility of choosing who actually asks the questions during the debates.

“I think the party should have more control over who moderates, and we should have more control over the partners,” Priebus told TheDC. “And if we can come up with a mechanism to take more control over the debate processes, that’s what we’re going to try to do.”

Maybe Mr. Priebus should go with the first journalist to release Hillary’s Benghazi e-mails. Maybe we’ll get our first Russian presidential debate moderator. Now that would be unprecedented!

Overcoming Obamacare, Plus Obama’s War on the 2nd Amendment-Today on The Teri O’Brien Show

This week we learned that, in addition to his many other talents, Joe Biden is also a firearms’ expert. Who knew? He got a little testy during what he thought would be another anti-Second Amendment agitprop fest, this time for Parents’ magazine, when a questioner suggested that the administration’s proposals might make it difficult for law-abiding Americans to defend themselves, and offered the sage advice he gave his wife, specifically, get a shot gun and if you hear a noise, go out on the back porch and fire a couple of blasts. Note to Girl Scouts: don’t show up unannounced at the Biden house!

Could that shotgun, which the clearly clueless Mr. Biden thinks is easier to shoot than an AR-15, be banned by the Obama administration? Yes, it could, according to David Kopel, Research Director of Colorado’s Independence Institute, Adjunct Professor of Advanced Constitutional Law, Denver University, Sturm College of Law, and one of America’s leading experts  on the 2nd Amendment. He’ll join us, and share his thoughts about what the Obama administration has in mind to trample on our 2nd Amendment rights.

Sadly, our hopes of ridding America of the scourge of Obamacare, at least anytime soon, evaporated last November with the re-election of Barack Obama. Now that we’re stuck with it, how will it affect you and your family? We’ll get answers from someone who has been fighting the federal government’s takeover of our health care system for over 20 years, Dr. Betsy McCaughey. Her new book, Beating Obamacare, is an essential handbook for protecting yourself. Despite what Nancy Pelosi said, you don’t have to read the law to find out what’s in it. We’l tell you today.

Barack Obama put on a clinic in demagoguery earlier this week, shaking his fists over the scary “sequester,” that even Jay Carney has admitted was his idea. The administration’s point man on the Sunday morning shows is the poster boy for the fact that politics is the last refuge of the mediocre, the buffoonish “Republican” Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood. He goes on the Sunday shows, and hilarity ensues.

It’s Oscar Sunday, and it’s clear now why so many in Hollywood love the film “Lincoln.” Plus Producer Thomas’ list of conservative movies you’d love to see.

Tune in today for the rest of the story.
