The Death of Liberalism with R. Emmett Tyrell, and (Ret.) Col. Lawrence Sellin on Serving an Ineligible Commander-in-Chief: Today on the Teri O’Brien Show

Yesterday, while out and about at a local mall, I overhead a mother explaining to her very young daughter, who was probably about 4 years old, why her daddy would be home tomorrow. The woman said that tomorrow is holiday when we remember all the soldiers who died so that we can be free. I wanted to chase after her and hug her, and say “You are a wonderful mom, and great American,” but I decided I’d rather spend my weekend out of the slammer or the loony bin. My heart was in the right place, though. Memorial Day is the unofficial beginning of summer, and while it is a terrific time to relax with family, friends and enjoy delicious food and beverages, it should be first, last and always a day to commemorate the courage and selfless sacrifice of millions of members of the U.S. military that makes these celebrations possible. It’s essential that we convey that message to our children and grandchildren.

As we watch the disgusting spectacle of an unaccomplished, unqualified, affirmative-action assisted empty suit occupying the Oval Office and masquerading as a leader, we can only hope our long national nightmare will soon end. The desperation in the Obama campaign is obvious, from their doubling down on deceptive campaign ads about his profligate spending, to their unabashed playing the race card to appeal to the emotionally-driven perpetual adolescents who continue to support him, but is liberalism really kaput? That’s the thesis of the latest book from conservative icon, and founder of the American Spectator, R. Emmett Tyrell, in his new book, The Death of Liberalism. Is it too soon to celebrate? And what connection does he have to Chicago’s infamous Haymarket riot?

We’re also delighted and honored to have (Ret.) Colonel Lawrence Sellin, Ph.D, columnist for Family Security Matters stop by to reflect on Memorial Day from the perspective of one who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and who questions Barack Obama’s eligibility to hold the office of president because he is not an Article II “natural born citizen.” How did that fact affect his service in the military? Why does what he calls “possibly the greatest constitutional crisis since the Civil War” continue to be at best mocked, and at worst, ignored by the vast majority of the media, including supposedly conservative outlets?

Plus a special Second Amendment Update: Military Edition.

The latest on Michelle’s excellent adventures, and the story that the Lame Stream Media scrubbed about one of the Obama princesses.

Tune in today for the rest of the story.
