From The Daily Caller:
Nearly 200 murderers, over 400 rapists, and 300 kidnappers in the U.S. illegally were released by Immigration and Customs Enforcement while awaiting deportation proceedings, according to a new report from the Center for Immigration Studies.
A total of 36,007 criminal illegal immigrants that were being processed for deportation were freed in 2013. Together, they committed nearly 88,000 crimes, according to the report, published Monday.
“I was astonished at not only the huge number of convicted criminals who were freed from ICE custody last year – an average of almost 100 a day — but also at the large number of very serious crimes they had committed,” said Jessica Vaughan, the director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, in a statement.
Apparently, the East Coast Brain Rot Afflicted elites who have been conspiring to try to sell out real America for years are still at it. The Chamber of Crony Capitalism (H/T Mark Levin) head weighed in today, reading the GOP the riot act, saying if they don’t pass amnesty, they may as well just stay home in 2016. From Politico:
The GOP shouldn’t even field a presidential candidate in 2016 unless Congress passes immigration reform this year, U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Tom Donohue said Monday.
“If the Republicans don’t do it, they shouldn’t bother to run a candidate in 2016,” Donohue joked at an event on infrastructure investment in D.C. “Think about that. Think about who the voters are. I just did that to get everybody’s attention.”
Ha ha. So, will Speaker Boehner, who famously mocked his fellow Republicans for not wanting to pass “comprehensive immigration reform” (read amnesty with lots of poison pills that no one finds out about until it’s too late) a couple of weeks ago, take the C of C’s bait? From The Hill:
Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has a pretty good idea of what immigration reform in the House is going to look like. He just doesn’t know when it’s going to happen.
Addressing the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on Monday in San Antonio, Boehner said he wanted to overhaul the nation’s immigration laws “in chunks” over a period of a week or two to a month. The process would likely begin with border security measures, and it would address the crucial question of citizenship for illegal immigrants in a way that he said would “pass the straight-face test” for people who have already gone through the arduous process legally.
But none of that will happen, Boehner reiterated, until President Obama builds back trust with Republicans in Congress.
Oh, OK, I guess we have nothing to worry about. What chance is there that anyone would trust Obama? How naïve and clueless would a person have to be to trust this ideologically-driven serial liar? Oh wait …
