Why Muslims Hate Dogs

Dogs rule: the canine associate producer and his lithe, lovely intern insisted that I post this story about why Muslims hate dogs.

If they can hate this little punkin, there is definitely something wrong with them, no?

We know that they do, of course.

From D.C. Clothesline:

Have you wondered why Muslims hate dogs?

Here’s an explanation for why Muslims are forbidden to have a dog as a pet or allow one in their house. (H/t Mike Ramirez, a reader of DanielPipes.org, who has a website on Questionable Teachings of Islam.)

Answer: It’s in the Hadith — the corpus of the reports of the teachings, deeds and sayings of Muhammad. The Hadith was used in forming the basis of ‘Shariah’ Law and has had a profound and controversial influence on molding the commentaries on the Quran. Much of early Islamic history available today is based on the Hadith and is challenged for lack of basis in primary source material.

1. Sahih Muslim, Book 24, Number 5246 says:

Chapter : Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.

‘Aisha reported that Gabriel (peace be upon him) made a promise with Allah’s Messenger [Muhammad] (may peace be upon him) to come at a definite hour; that hour came but he did not visit him. And there was in his hand (in the hand of Allah’s Apostle) a staff. He threw it from his hand and said: Never has Allah or His messengers (angels) ever broken their promise. Then he cast a glance (and by chance) found a puppy under his cot and said: ‘Aisha, when did this dog enter here? She said: By Allah, I don’t know He then commanded and it was turned out. Then Gabriel came and Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to him: You promised me and I waited for you, but you did not come, whereupon he said: It was the dog in your house which prevented me (to come), for we (angels) do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture.

2. Sahih Muslim, Book 024, Number 5248:

Then on that very morning he [Muhammad] commanded the killing of the dogs until he announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog meant for the protection of extensive fields (or big gardens).

3. Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 541

Allah’s Apostle [Muhammad] said, “If somebody keeps a dog, he loses one Qirat (of the reward) of his good deeds everyday, except if he keeps it for the purpose of agriculture or for the protection of livestock. “

So the Hadith would have us believe that an Angel of God, Gabriel, refused to enter Muhammad’s house because a puppy — a creature of God — was there? And that’s why Muhammad commanded that all dogs be killed?

What ridiculous poppycock!

Let me make a suggestion to CAIR and all the other “terrorism has nothing to do with Islam” front groups. You might want to get your peeps to stop saying this anti-dog hate speech. It’s bad for business.

More about Muslim dog hating here and here.

  1. I have always suspected that the real reason Mo (and by extension all Muslims) didn’t like dogs is because in the early days of Islam when he and his henchmen/minions were rampaging their way across the Middle East (much like ISIS is doing today) a faithful canine alerted it’s human companions to an imminent attack by Mo, thwarting his intentions to catch his intended victims by surprise and earning his ire forevermore. Dogs are very good at sensing evil people with nefarious intentions and making their presence known to the humans that the dogs love. I also suspect that is the reason humans and dogs joined forces in the first place, because of their ability to sense danger. Dog’s ability to help humans hunt and put food on the table was just a fortunate coincidence of that alliance.

    • That’s a good point, Robert. Our loyal dogs do warn and protect us, and I am convinced that they are terrific judges of character. I can remember when we first brought home one of our precious dogs from the shelter. (All of our dogs have been former shelter dogs.) He had been abused and, in fact, was brought to the shelter by a guy who had hit him with a car. We believe he was thrown out because he would not fight. He’s a pit bull or pit bull mix. No one is sure about that. Anyway, he was TERRIFIED of nearly everyone, and yet, when one of our neighbors, a dog owner and dog lover, approached him for the first time, never having met him, or even seen him before, he let her pet him and wagged his tail. He could tell from her demeanor and her touch that she loved dogs and had good intentions. And yes, dogs and people joined forces in a mutually-beneficially alliance ~ 15,000 years ago, helping each other, comforting each other and I for one wouldn’t have it any other way!

  2. And let’s not forget that once these Islamist fanatics take over a neighborhood, they start imposing their culture on the societies that they invade: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2644058/Do-not-walk-dog-Muslims-not-like-dogs-Fury-poster-discovered-near-popular-London-park-warns-dog-walkers-stay-Islamic-areas.html

  3. And one more thing. Hillary “Terrorism has nothing to do with Islam” Clinton appears to also not be a be fan of dogs: http://thelibertarianrepublic.com/hillary-clinton-not-fan-dogs/

  4. LOL! So I guess you’re saying this Muslim dog hating thing is a bunch of crap as far as you’re concerned, right?

  5. True. I wouldn’t want one of my precious dogs living with one of these savages!

  6. Yes, I’ve heard about this horrific program in Iran, Rob, and it sickens me.

  7. Sadistically torturing and killing animals is a common trait of psychopaths and serial killers. Engaging in such activities is deeply indicative of the personality and mindset of the people who commit such horrific acts of barbarity.

  8. Yes, I knew I had posted about it. http://teriobrien.com/sick-iran-executes-pet-dogs-unislamic/
Thanks for posting on this one, and hug your pup for me!

  9. Thanks, Karen, for sharing this post!
